a yet, unpredictable line of misfortune landed onto eunju. as someone who suffers from a bleeding disorder, hemophilia b to be precise; it was a surpise to find out that she was pregnant with her fiance's child. they definitely weren't excited for the child, the emotion was more frantic and worrisome. the couple thought about abortion, however it's illegal to abort your child in south korea and eunju could not afford to travel elsewhere to deliver her unborn child. they decided to simply postpone the wedding until after eunju delivered the child. it all went smoothly for seven months into the pregnancy; the couple were well aware with eunju's hemophilia that the deliver could go wrong but the hospital eunju was checked with fully knew what to expect. so during her monthly checkup, eunju did not expect yet another, hapless, problem. eunju had a pelvic deformity. it was strange how they did not see this until the later stages of the pregnancy and it caused a great obstacle for the couple. c-section was completely out of the option as eunju would lose a large amount of blood during surgery for the c-section.

byun jinyoung stares at his fiancé lovingly. it's barely dawn, the first light faintly passing through the translucent curtains of the window. eunju is still in deep sleep, but it doesn't stop jinyoung from softly cupping her cheek before her hair, his other arm wrapped around her stomache loosely. he can't bare to lose her. she's the only light he has, though what eunju strongly believes in, jinyoung can't bring himself to say no. even if it does mean she'll pass on in the end. her decision to contact tobias braxton doh made him ponder, why did she feel the need to document her last moments of living into a book that's sold to the public. he knows that tobias's main course for his published series is to gain wealth but jinyoung obliges for eunju to document it. for her.
