appearance » Minjun has a birthmark on his stomach that he's pretty self concious about. He wears his glasses occasionally but most of the time he sticks with contacts. He likes wearing colored contacts and is often dyeing his hair different colors. He stands at 183cm and weighs 64kg. He has a toned body. Not super muscular.

 

style » Minjun considers himself a fashion icon. He dresses very nice and loves to dress up. He has a unique sense of style and prefers to wear 'dressy' clothes over jeans and t-shirts. He has a shopping addiction and when he goes shopping, he'll come back with lots of clothes he doesn't need. He owns lots of shoes, watches, ties, etc. He does, however, own a few pairs of jeans and t-shirts. He'll occasioanlly wear sneakers. Sweet »​  Minjun is as sweet as can be. He always tries to be friendly and kind. He truly cares about people and would go out of his way to make someone smile. He's a total sweetheart.

Funny »​ Going along with his sweet personality, he loves making people. He tell joke and embarrass himself until he turns a frown into a smile. It helps that he finds his own jokes hilarious and has a 'crazy' laugh.

Hardworking »​ When Minjun sets his mind on something, he works for it to the best of his abilities. He is always trying to improve his skills and make his best even better. He is determined and won't stop until he achieves his goal. Although he knows he can't be perfect but he constantly strives for perfection.

​Independent »​ Minjun knows what he wants and doesn't need people making decisions for him. He isn't afraid to voice his opinion. He knows how to take care of himself and doesn't need people to lead him along.

Quick-witted » Minjun can think fast. It goes well with his Funny trait. He can think up funny comebacks off the top of his head and always earns a few laughs from it.

Hot Headed »​ Minjun has a temper and isn't afraid to show it. He can throw some of the worst fits. Throws things, Shouts, Storms out, etc. but once he's cooled down, he comes back and apologizes to everyone involved. Little things can seat him off.

Abrupt »​ Conflicting with his sweet personality, Minjun doesn't have a filter. He says what comes to mind without thinking them through. He often doesn't realize his straightforward words could upset someone but when he learns he hurt someone then he quickly apologizes. He doesn't think before he speaks.

Insecure »​ He is very insecure. He doesn't think highly of himself and most times can barely think of something good about himself. He doesn't think he's handsome.

​Over Critical » Working with his insecurity, Minjun is very over critical. He always notices the smallest flaws (usually with himself) and won't stop into they're fixed. He's a bit of a perfectionist.

Forgetful »​ He is always losing stuff. He'll walk into a room and not even remember why he came in there. He can have thought and in second, it's gone. When people ask him to do something, by the time they're finished talking, he'll already have forgotten what they asked him to do.

Stubborn »​ Minjun is very strong willed. You could tell him to go left and he'll go right just to prove he can. If he doesn't want to do something, then forget it because it won't ever get done.

BACKGROUND » Minjun was born into a family of three in Busan, South Korea. A year later, his younger sister was born and they became a happy family of five. He discovered his love for music at a young age. His parents, being music lovers themselves, often played music around the house. Minjun loved to perform as a child. He was always singing and dancing. His mom taught him how to play the piano. Music was a huge part of his childhood. He knew from a young age that he wanted to be a singer when he grew up.

 

​When he was 12, his family moved to America. Los Angeles, California. There was a bit of culture shock at first but he soon grew used to it. He began to find other hobbies, such as sports but his passion for music never died. He has always been a social butterfly and made many friends as a child.

 

​When he was 15, his dad was diagnosed with cancer and passed away not long after. His death took a toll on the whole family. Their lives became dark. Minjun felt lifeless and began to distance himself from everyone. He didn't feel like singing or dancing or playing sports. Everything reminded him of his father, who was his biggest supporter.

 

When he was 17, he had overcame his depression with the help of friends and family (and a very good therapist). he realized that his dad would have never wanted him to live that and he remembered how his dad always told him to follow his dream. So he did just that. His passion for music had returned and he was ready to pursue it. It hope on a flight to South Korea, saying good bye to his supportive family, and auditioned for SM Entertainment. He knew it was a risky move to up and move to a different country but thankfully, he passed the audition.

​​DAD » Seo Yunhyung / 43  / was a business / Yunhyung is Minjun's father who passed away. Minjun had a very close relationship with his father. His father was his biggest support and always encouraged him.

​MOM » Lee Jiyoung  / 53 / Teacher / They were very close when Minjun was young but when his father passed, they became distant. There relationship has slowly became better over the years but they still aren't as close as they were before his dad passed. His mom was very supportive of his dreams/

oLDER BROTHER » Seo Jaemin / 27 / Lawyer / Minjun and his older brother have a close relationship. They talk a lot and often confide in each other. Minjun will go to Jaemin for advice.

YOUNGER SISTER » Seo Jihyun / 23 / Student; Studing for her degree in nursing / Minjun is Jihyun's protective older brother. Although they are only a year apart, Minjun feels its his duty to protect his younger sister.

BEST FRIEND » Kim Taeyeon / 27 / Idol / Minjun, having been a trainee for so long, became friends with many of the idols under SM. Taeyeon was one of the first idol friends that he made. They immediately got along well and their friendship flourished.

 

BESTIE #2 » Tiffany Hwang / 27 / Idol / At first, Minjun and Tiffany didn't get along but after a while of spending time together, they learned they had a lot of common interests (one of them being shopping) and soon became super close. Taeyeon credits herself for starting their friendship as they used to only spend time together because of Taeyeon.

 

Friend of the same age » Chanyeol / 24 / Idol / Minjun and Chanyeol became friends as trainees. They couldn't really tell you how their friendship started. It was like one day they were just friends and it hasn't changed since then.

Trainee life » As a trainee, he was a social butterfly. Minjun is one of those people that is friends with everyone. He was very hardworking and did everything to the best of his abilities. He had a goal set (debut) and he was going to achieve it. He had many trainee and idol friends. Everyone knew Minjun, not only because of his bright personlity but also because of his amazing vocals.

Hello! Could you please introduce yourself? » "Hello. I'm Boys' Generation's Minjun. It's nice to meet you." I say with a soft smile.

 

How do you feel about finally debuting? » "It's thrilling, exciting, and scary all at the same time." I let out a short chuckle. "But yes I am very happy to finally debut as it's been something I've been working towards for many years and I'm excited for what the future holds.

 

How does it feel to come from such a large, sucsessful company? Do you feel like you will be able to live up to the high expectations many fans hold for you? » I purse my lips, thinking of the right words. "Debuting under such a large company like SM, is nerve-racking. There is such high expectations for us. I, myself, will try my best to meet the expectations fan hold for me." I answer with a straight face, adding a nod at the end.
Is there anything you would like to do by yourself or as a group? » "I would like for us to have a reality show where we go on a vacation." I laugh and continue.  "We've never been on a vacation as a group and I think it would bring us even closer together."

love story » Minjun and Taehyung met on the set of a CF, prior to Minjun's debut. Minjun was just an extra while BTS were the stars. Minjun immediately caught V's eye and after a few bad jokes, they had each other's numbers. They started off as just a close Sunbae/Hoobae (or Hyung/Dongsaeng) relationship. They quickly learned that they clicked well together. Not long after their friendship began, feelings for each other started to become more prominant. It took them a while to actually admit they had crushes on each other as both of them were blind to the other's feelings, although everyone around said that they were painfully obvious. They were both overjoyed to learn that the other felt the same way and soon after they began dating. When their romantic relationship began, both of them were pretty shy but now as time has gone on, they've grown to have a comfortable relationship. They're actually couple goals.
