So, I wrote a poem...,

Depression Lies

Depression lies,

It whispers bad things into your ear,

It poisons your views on the people you hold dear,

Depression lies,

It tells you you’re worthless and need to die,

It speaks of despair and you believe the lie,

Depression steals,

It slips into you like a thief in the night,

It fondles your heart and takes everything that’s right,

Depression steals,

It absorbs your friends and swallows your mind,

It kidnaps your family and everything’s that’s kind,

Depression kills,

It murders your dreams and stabs your life,

It annihilates your relationships and only gives you strife,

Depression kills,

It slaughters your confidence and slays your drive,

It destroys your body and makes you wish you were never alive,

Depression fights,

It battles against your thoughts and beats you till your blue,

It kicks you in the gut and batters all that is true,

Depression fights,

It punches you in the chest and provides an endless matchup,

It batters every inch of your life, but you must never give up,

Because…,

Depression lies.
