personality let's just say that he has a different social status? ever since she became popular, emma saw herself first admiring the "social underdogs", then falling for them as she approached them in the shadows and got to know them better. he shouldn't be someone too aggressive or resentful, rather someone kind and underrated. someone who sees the diamond behind the golden exterior of the "queen" she despises to be, and who would protect her and stay with her even when she broke all bonds with her social group. maybe someone as sweet as her, someone she could grow together with instead of only helping him out of their shell.

 

the love story despite kasa, i see them meeting at a selected place, like ufl's library, the dorms at night, the bookshop or small vintage café she frequently goes to, maybe even the pet shelter. i could even see them falling for each other first in kasa (like the kind of romance you feel starting right at the beginning of a story, though it might be very subtle yet and the characters only notice it much later than the reader).
