⟪ BACKGROUND ⟫

Park Eun was born in Gwangju, South Jeolla on the 24th of July, 1996. At the time of her birth, Eun's parents were both seventeen years old. Her mother, Minjae was kicked out of home by her parents when they found out their teenage daughter was pregnant. At the same time her father, Jungsoo, decided to leave home against his parents will and leave high school to go live with Minjae and go to work to support Minjae and their unborn daughter. When Eun was born, her parents had no more connection to their own parents, they now also had a small one room home in Gwangju where they lived with Eun. With no help from anyone else, Minjae and Jungsoo both dropped out of high school to take care of Eun. Minjae would stay home with her and Jungsoo took three part-time jobs to provide for Eun, her mother and himself.

By the time Eun was three, her family had moved into a one bedroom apartment in the centre of Gwangju. One day, on one of Jungsoo's rare days off. He had decided to take Eun out to play in the park while Minjae stayed back home to make lunch but when they returned, the found an empty house and Minjae's clothes and their one suitcase was missing. On the table, there was a single piece of paper that said "I'm sorry". Jungsoo was in shock, he wanted to break down right there, but he wanted to stay strong for his little girl. Days and weeks passed with no word from Minjae when Jungsoo finally came to a decision, he was going to take all the savings he had gotten from his time working and moved Eun and himself to Seoul.

After Eun and her father had moved to Seoul, her father had gotten lucky and was able to get a well-paying job. Eun and her father became much closer after their move to Seoul. Jungsoo always made sure to be there to pick Eun up from kindergarten, no matter how busy he was. Of course, there was sometimes when Eun was growing up that would have been easier if she had a mother, but by those times, she had already forgotten about the mother she once had. When Eun was about five, she started to take an interest in singing and asked her father if she could take up singing classes to which her father said yes. As Eun grew up in Seoul with her father, she continued her vocal classes and started to help her father out more. As the years went on, her father started to work longer hours but no matter what, he always made sure to be home before dinner.

When Eun was about ten, it was the first time her mother had contacted her and her father. It was at this time, her father decided that she was old enough to know what happened when she was younger. Eun was instantly angry at her mother and decided not to talk to her at that time or ever. As she became an teenager, her mother would send her birthday cards but she would instantly throw them away. She wanted nothing to do with the woman who had left her and her father with no warning.

After she had graduated high school, with blessings from her father, Eun had entered into university to study music theory. She is now in her second year of university and still receiving her vocal lessons. Eun had no intention to audition for Blooming Girls, but when her vocal teacher of fifteen years suggested it to her, she decided to talk to her father about it. He encouraged her to do it. So with the support from the two biggest influences in her life, Eun went and auditioned for blooming girls.
