How NOT to make popcorn

Heyoooo guys

Who knows how to make popcorn?? Coz apparently I don't 😁

I never really eat junk food and this blog is probably gonna make that hella obvious.

My sister: AFFA how do u make popcorn??

Me: get a pan, pour some seeds (don't think dirty u s) and pour some water (like an idiot)

So we waited... and waited 😂 but there was noooooo sound of popping pop corn but there was this burnt smell surrounding us. So my sister went and checked and screamed saying "THE POPCORN IS BURNT!! AFFA WHAT DID U DO?!" Annndddd I ending up laughing and spazzing out like a witch and she just screamed at me telling me how it wasn't funny. I should have saved the recordings 😂

I later skyped my friend who then told me I was supposed to put oil in the pan not water.... And I just sat there like "wait... I swear u put water... Or maybe that's what I imagined since I haven't watched anyone make popcorn ever since I was a kid" welp Sami the most common sense thing to do would be to search the Internet or YouTube?? Duuuhhhh 😂😂 I just laughed as my friend called me an idiot COZ I SERIOUSLY THOUGHT YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO POUR WATER IN THE PAN!! I think I should just invest in the popcorn that are in a paper bag which u can just stick in the microwave a few minutes 😭😭😭

19 year old failure in making popcorn has finished her story *bows* please forgive the grammar/spelling errors I'll never get better 😩😅

put a couple table spoons of oil in the pan (with a tight fitting lid!) once it heats up a bit add 1/4 to 1/2 cup of kernels (depending on the size of your pan) and place the lid on top. Gently shake the pan over the heat (this is a must or it will burn) stopping once popping sounds almost complete. remove from heat and carefully remove the lid. steam is hot and occasionally a stray kernel will pop, exploding from the pan. pour carefully into a bowl, and season as desired. tip-- if using melted butter allow the popcorn to cool just a few minutes and it won't shrivel from the melted liquid.
