do you have Fenugreek in you house ? just dry fry it and then add some water and boil it .Drink it in a medium temperature .It really works .It may be little bit bitter ,but it really works. And in my opinion during periods don't do any yoga other than breathing exercise ,it is not good once my yoga instructor told me it may cause problems if you practice yoga during first 4 days.

hot water bottle or heating pad on low on your abdomen can help relax the muscles. If it's that severe though some kind of modern pain reliever will help. just take the recommended dose. It's really not that bad for you, esp if cramps are very severe. If cramps are severe every month then you may want to consider birth control pills if that is an option available to you.

I don't have very strong pains but if possible, lift your hips and legs in the air (rest them against a wall) and use gravity to pull your blood towards your chest and brain rather than your legs. It'll reduce the pressure a little.
You can also e (play with your if you don't want to finger yourself with the blood). It works as well. I don't know the biology behind but it does.

For me, it works when I lie on my stomach. It's really simple but for some reason, the pressure works.
Hot packs can help reduce muscle pain in your lower back so I would try to use one of those. Or multiple.

If your cramps let up, maybe take a walk? It can do both good and bad, but exercise is generally not a bad thing on your period if you can do that.

But honestly, if your pains are just crippling in every way, take a pain killer. It's not that bad for your body and the pain can be super bad so ... As long as you don't eat more than prescribed and for a long time.

You can also see your doctor to ask for birth control pills, they're said to lower the cramps and menstruation. (I have never taken birth control pills though so...)

Try to do some yoga stretches, or like some kind of exercise. For me, usually yoga stretches help me reduce stomach cramps and of course it would be better to put some sort of hot compress on your stomach. Drinking water and also sleep is important :) Get well soon!
