APPEARANCE : zhu jia tends to always have her hair either in simple braids, her hair let loose or tied, it doesn't really matter to her, just as long as it's out of her face while she's working. she tends to dye her hair often to " shake things up " a bit, but she won't dye it crazy colors like purple, red, etc - she hates it. but she'll have her hair dyed lighter a few shades or darker, in general just natural hair colors. she has two cartilage piercings on her left ear. because during her years of training in the academy before entering as a detective, she trained and exercised a lot, so her shoulders are just a bit broader and her legs and body are definitely more toned. 
STYLE : during her morning classes, she'll just very cute and casual, simple jeans or slacks or skirts with a cute flowy blouse or tee. she doesn't really try hard to look amazing or anything because it's just work - who are you really gonna even see or try to impress. but she tries hard to look a little more pretty because she knows after her classes are over, she has to go to wearing slacks and tight button ups which are pretty bland to her eyes. but when she isn't at work or outside chilling with her buddies, she goes all out, tries to look her cutest and all. and if she's at other people's home like her family or close friends, she looks like a total slob because she quite frankly doesn't care. she doesn't really have a style, it's just whatever she feels happy and pleasant in.

ELABORATION : 
- growing up, she had always been the opposite of her siblings. she was the angel in the family some may call it. while her siblings had overall bad personalities that gave bad impressions. though, zhu jia wasn't like that. she had always been a caring person. whenever she saw some kid at her school sit alone, she'd go over a be their friend and ask about their day and etc. she'd always make sure the people around her were doing okay and making sure to let people know that she'd be there for them no matter what. she's as well as selfless. she puts others before herself all the time no matter what, when it comes to favours or anything - she'll always do it without wanting anything in return. sometimes you don't even have to ask for a favour, she'll care enough to just do it for you or ask if she could. she had never liked compliments growing up - well she does, i mean everyone does. but she always felt like they weren't really needed. when someone said, "oh you're smart, etc you're going places..." she gets shy and says, "oh no, i'm really not. im just average," etc things like that. she never really thought of herself higher than anyone in anything and she always tells herself she has room to grow no matter how exceptional she is in whatever field. she's always been an independent person, she doesn't like depending on people because it feels like a heavy burden, hence its she does most things without depending on anyone. 

- the girl is quite naive. around her, she's always been a bit socially awkward around people or when engaging in conversations with others, sometimes she just is confused and doesn't quite get it and just laughs it off. or sometime she'll miss social cues. her friends a lot of times say she's the Spencer Reid (from criminal minds) of the team, though she can't exactly read 20,000 words per minute. she'll always ask, "but guys what does that mean?", "really, is that how it works?? I didn't know!", etc. she's the type to always overthink and worry too much. people would normally say she's dumb and naive because people could be use her and she still wouldn't realize. even if she did knew, it's hard for her to drop people bc she doesn't wanna be mean. she won't tell anyone (again going back to how she feels like it's a burden) she'll just worry and overthink and bottle it all up inside her. even when it's something small, sometimes she just thinks it into something big. back when she was in school (and even still now during her work life) she used to forget her homework. the teachers would often get so annoyed by that and so does her chief at work when she doesn't turn in her papers. she's always been forgetful, she always swears that she's got everything down and won't forget anything but in the end her mind will go blank and she'll the house or work empty handed. on top of being a forgetful person, she's a procrasinator. because she procrasinates on doing her work a lot, it leads to her forgetting she has things to finish. "oh, i'll wash the dishes later." and lets say an hour or two later, she's getting ready for bed, "did i finish housechores? hmm... i think im forgetting something... nah, i probably did it." and just like that she's off. she needs some heavy hardcore motivation sometimes to get her to not procrasinate.

LIFESTYLE : what is his/her daily life like?
like every normal day, ever since she was in high school, she woke up at 5 am. but when she was in high school, she woke up that early to do homework. but now she's working, she could get the extra time to sleep, etc - but no, she chooses to wake up at 5 am to get ready and it should usually take her about an hour to finish. by 6 am, she loves to go outside and just smell the air and go to the bakery to get her normal morning coffee: caramel macchiato and that's about it. she'll go back inside her apartment and just sit around reading, grading papers, surfing the web, etc until 7 am and she'll arrive at work. when she arrives at the university, she isn't organized so she doesn't neccesarialy ever have lesson plans ready. she usually wings it. she goes with the flow and she's an entertaining teacher and she isn't that strict so everyone loves her. she's such a quirk during her teaching sessions, sometimes she'll go off on tangents and tell her life story or just pick on a kid for the fun of it. after all her classes end at 12, she has three hours to freely do whatever she wants before going down to the station. honestly, she loves grocery shopping - it's a huge habit of hers. she'll think at home she's out of stock on something and then end up buying. so her fridge and cabinets are costantly filled with food because she forgets that she's never out of stock. 

she'll probably sleep and eat within those hours. at 3pm, she'll usually arrive at the precinct. like mentioned before, she's like the Spencer Reid of her team. she misses social cues, kinda awkward around her coworkers at times and just naive. though, she's definitely different on job, rather than being free during her school hours, she's hardworking and tougher here. but not everyday she's on case, so she'll just sit around and go bother her coworkers, visit the medical examination room for the fun of it. by the time she gets out at work, she'll hang out with her coworkers to grab a bite to eat or get drinks. though, she's more known to be the late night adventure type girl. so it won't be until 12 am when she starts going out with friends and having fun and doing whatever people do in the middle of the night. 

on the weekends you'll either spot her doing several things, sleeping all day, helping out at homeless shelter, orphanage or elderly homes, and taking her friends or family out for dinner. it could honestly be any of those three, it depends on her mood. 

BACKGROUND : what was your character's life before moving in. explain why they moved in
zhu jia is the youngest out of the three kids and was born the most different amongst them. as stated before, her older siblings had traits worse than her. they weren't bad people, they were just very natural angry people. she always grew to be the quiet little youngster, minding her own business, playing by herself at family parties. growing up, her parents constantly emphasized to her how important education was and that it mattered more than anything else. as much as she didn't like school when she was growing, she always like learning new stuff and figuring the world around her. 

it was always a shock to people when she told them one day she'd work in the criminal justice field, they couldn't really believe how a small little girl could want to do something like that. And what probably sparked her was old hong kong and chinese crime movies her parents showed her. each of the siblings among each other were quite different, one hated school and didn't really try hard in school and just failed, the other enjoyed school and excelled, getting into a college and all and so zhu jia just followed into those footsteps and worked hard to get into a good college for a good job. usually she was always at home alone because her parents were always out working jobs that make them come at night and her siblings were either studying or going out with friends. but there were times in the house everyone was close, but other than that - everyone generally minded their own business. though, she wasn't close with her siblings just because the difference in years and different personalities. 

when she turned 19, she had moved to korea to study abroad. honestly, in the beginning she was just planning to get her degree and then go back home, however she had landed her job as an intern at a police station. and there she started gaining experience, landing herself a job and all. over the years, she got her masters and became a professor and detective. originally she had been living with an old college friend, but after awhile - she decided to just move out because of feeling like a burden to the friend and live on her own which was how she landed upon the green commitee.

RELATIONSHIPS : 

joo bosae | 27 | best friend | serious, tough, sarcastic | the two have been together since day one, which meaning they were both rookies on the job together on the first day and no one was on the same boat with them except for each other. they've practically have been partners in the field for quite awhile and it's probably won't changing anytime soon. though, he honestly cares for her and is always trying to protect her no matter what. however, he responds to her questions in sarcastic or petty answers so she never really knows what he's really trying to tell her. but the two are practically two peas in a pod and she cares for him lots too. whenever the two are put on assignments together, they don't match at times and argue and it'll just end up with them not sitting together at lunch or dinner bc of their indifferences. sometimes people consider them the most childish partners ever. 

bae saerin | 25 | adventure buddy | selfless, responsible, passive | when she first moved into the building, she didn't really speak much with anyone, she waved hi to the neighbours on every floor or would help them if they needed. saerin actually approached her first and introduced herself. saerin helped her move in and all and get settled. soon later on, the two started to become close friends. they started to go out late at night to get food, go to clubs, etc - things people in their twenties would do. late at night. apparently. because it's more "thrilling" but sometimes it's literally just them sitting by the river talking. or occasionally they'll go out together to hang out, catch up, go to arcades, shopping, etc.

INTERACTIONS : zhu jia always gives off this vibe that she needs to be protected and that's something taecyeon finds very cute. he always wants to be there for her no matter what. whenever they're around each other and friends, since they've become so close they're always like, "i'll stick by taecyeon/ zhu jia!" the two are always sharing annoying jokes with each other, saying corny pick up lines as a joke. if anyone to read their text messages, it's probably weird because they'll send each other memes back and forth or she'll send a photo of her foot and he sends a photo of his forehead. overall their relationship is very carefree and fun. the fact that's innocent and cute at times, he adores it - he'd just pinch her cheeks and hug her tightly by the neck, saying, "WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE??" 
STORY : how did they meet, how did they fall in love, all that good stuff
one day, the university had asked zhu jia to go to a high school and give a presentation on the school and the major she was teaching. she was up for it and needed an excuse to not go down to the station to work that day bc she forogt to finish writing her crime reports. "hey, bosae - I can't go to work tonight. meaning you having to cover for me, have fun!" she called and hung up before he could even reply. arriving at the school around 2pm, she grabbed all her folders and etc and made her way into the school. she got pretty lost and didn't know where she was going. "hey - are you lost?" she heard someone ask. she turned to see a tall man, assuming he was a teacher, "yeah, i am actually... do you know where the auditorium is?" she asked. after directing her to the auditorium and have a short talk with him as to why she was there, they parted ways. after she had done her presentation and all she had gone home straight away. "teacher ok, could you go into the auditorium and get one of the tables in bring it here?" another teacher spoke to him. he nodded and went to retrieve the table. as he was there he spotted an apartment room key, "huang zhu jia, room 416. - weird, this looks just like my apartment key too. guess I'll return it to them later." 
when she got home, she shuffled through her purse, trying to find her keys. "oh my god - where is my apartment key?? oh! there should be a spare -" she stopped and groaned. "bosae has my spare." she rolled her eyes. she huffed, standing in front of her door, not knowing what to do. she heard footsteps and turned, "oh, you're that teacher from today!" she pointed. "you live here too?" she asked. "fancy meeting you, but I live a floor below, I didn't know you lived here too. I just returning the owners..." he looked at the room she stood in front of and the key, "room key. wow, it's you." he chuckled, handing her the keys. "must be fate we meet again." he added. she shyly laughed, "thanks... but since you're here - come in for coffee?" 

after that, the two have become very good and close friends, they tend to go to each others house to hang out or have dinner and play games with each other. sometimes she'll help him grade homework and he'll help her grade papers as well and they'll sit and listen to each other stress and be there for each other when they need it. "red wine or white wine?" zhu jia asked when she opened up her cabinet. "beer for a change?" taecyeon chuckled. "got it." she laughed, opening her fridge and grabbing two cans. she set it down on the table and two stared at the coffee table, overfilled with student papers and random fried chicken takeout. "alright, lets get to grading!" she sighed. 

a few hours into grading, they eventually stopped because they were starting to get drunk. zhu jia was just telling her stories and taecyeon sat there listening, admiring her because of how into she was when she was telling stories, she was never boring and always passionate about whatever it is. "gosh, you're so great and amazing and so much more adjectives I can't say." taecyeon rested his head against his palm, smiling at her. "thanks for lying macho man," she giggled and let out a small burp. "i'm serious! i admire you so much," he laughed. she couldn't really tell if he was being serious, she thought he was just joking bc he was drunk. on the inside she had liked him for awhile and never said anything about it and she couldn't tell if he was just messing with her feelings.
