style: taejin's style growing up has always been to give people a good first impression of her. she always liked looking stylish all the time and never wanted to look sloppy. it's quite rare that you'll see her dressed down or lazy and if she does, she's probably just pulling the sporty look. but whenever she's staying over at her friends house or at home, she looks her worse. she genuinely looks like she never bothered to even shower for days, but no one in public see her so she doesn't care. but if she goes outside, she has to look her very best no matter what.
appearance: she dyes her hair about every four-five months and when she does - she'll dye it normal hair color, she'll  never go for an outrageous red or purple, etc. on her left forearm, she has a tattoo that says, "la belle fille" in french which translates to the beautiful girl. she has it there to constantly remind herself that she should be confident in herself no matter. and on the back of her neck, she has a tattoo of a lotus flower.

elaboration: expand on the traits. min of two paras.
growing up, it's very normal you hear from everyone, "treat others how you want to be treated." and so she followed that concept. she was quite the honest person and loyal person as well to be the people she loved a lot. sometimes her honesty had no filter, she always spouted whatever was at the top of her head and didn't really care if anyone was offended about what she said. people thought it was rude, but who cares. to her friends and family, she's probably the most loyal person around. she'll backup and defend them like no other and nothing could really break her bond with people unless they backstabbed her. and once that happens, she's basically over you and treats you like crap. she has always been a quick learner, adapter. she's very easy-going with things and blends in real quick and has no problem struggling afterwards in any enviorment she's in. ok, she's not your kevin hart of the group or anything, but she is the queen of ty and lame jokes. an example: "how does a vampire girl flirt? by batting her eyes!" corny ones. then gets mad when no one laughs. but everyone starts laughing bc she tends to laugh at her jokes on her own and she looks like a dying seal.

when people who known taejin for a good amount of time, they know how she really is and isn't all that bad once you get used to her. however, like they also say, "the bad outweighs the good." that's what they see from her sometimes, not bad but pretty extra. the girl's temper is always at 99.8% and anything could literally be that .2% to set her off. sometimes it makes it seem like she's sensitive, but she isn't. she just hates childish comments or being annoyed by people when it's clear she doesn't want to talk or act fun. but beside petty things pissing her off, what really would piss her off is someone offending her, questioning her actions and the thing she says, etc. you know the things that would genuinely hurt you normally. once she's pissed, she'll yell and throw things. if someone tries to talk to her to cool her down, she'll yell at that person to for no reason. so learning the hard way, it's best to leave her alone to cool. she's very impatient, she hates waiting around to get things done. she wants it done quick and easy and clean. once things are done, then she's ready to move onto something else. she's quite egotistical. she thinks of herself very highly, sometimes arrogant. sometimes she'll look down on people, or times do things just for the sake of her. she thinks about herself on the time because who else got you other than yourself. when she opens , besides it being honest and brutally rude - it's sarcastic. she'll never give anyone a real answer bc she just likes to mess around like that. her sarcasm can really get under people's skin sometime because they just want her to not be such a sometimes.

background: born in france, she is the oldest out of three siblings, 5 - 7 years apart from both her younger siblings. quite saddening for her because she wasn't as close to them as she would like growing up. she had always been the odd one out in the family, rather than focusing on her studies like her cousins, she would always find an excuse to leave home and go hang out with friends. surprisingly, she still even managed her grades. her parents could never be mad at her bc 1) she was the oldest & probably spoiled the most at times and 2) she was too hard-headed to listen to her parents. she was the type to just view over a material once or twice and be good to go, hence the reason for refusing to study. realizing she was good to go that way, she always felt better than the her classmates and that just ended up her developing into a person who was self-centered & egotistical at times. she was really well liked amongst her friends though, because they knew no matter how y she can be at times - she'll always have their backs. plus, she was good at listening and being there for people and giving advices. a little insider, she never had much experience on anything but somehow magically helped. she watched chick flicks, rom-com, slice of life movies, etc. things like that and she learned from those to help others.

she moved to korea at age 14 because her parents job reasonings. in high school, that's when the wide and various ranges of drama flooded in. from boyfriend stealing to girlfriend cheating to best friends using each other - she was a bit gossipy and always wanted in on it. but they never claimed she was nosy - more as curious. she was never one to have a boyfriend in the group of friends, in fact - she dated only twice. but she gained much knowledge from that. as past through high school and college, she became the person everyone came to for relationship advices. and she was quite proud of the help she was doing. everyone always thought she had experienced it all to have given such good advices... but she hasn't. and she can barely talk to a cute boy in her class or work.

currently, she's working as an editor for a fashion magazine slowly getting popularity. she lives by with her younger sister, a college student, in a spacious two room apartment. the two don't see each other much except for like late at night, when she's done working or her sis is home from a nightout. none of taejin's family lives in Seoul anymore, they all moved back to France, leaving taejin to take care of the younger one while she finishes college.
relations

choi hana :: 21 :: uni student - psychology major :: younger sister ::
to say the two got along, is a bit of an exaggeration. at least in the early stages when they were together. the two hadn't ever gotten along bc when taejin was younger she asked for a brother not a sister and so she disliked hana with a burning passion until two years after hana, they got a little brother named taehyun. which she loved more than hana. it wasn't until hana turned 16, she grew mature and respected her sister, taejin began to pay more attention to her and hang with her more, in general - appreciate her more. the two became close over the last few years and just like any other sister siblings, they constantly call each other names, fight over clothes, talk about boys, etc.

— jeon chaeeun :: 20 :: founder of romance for dummies :: younger close friend ::
meeting for the first time, taejin normally didn't like people who were jumpy or super bubbly - but chaeeun was really what taejin calls, "refreshing". normally it wasn't taejin who started conversations with people, but she decided to chat up with chaeeun, the younger girl was really genuinely happy and taejin didn't see her as fake bubbly. the two got along really well, sometimes taejin would hit her up for lunch or to hang out and because chaeeun was younger - she'd always pay for her. but also bc she genuinely liked taking her friends out to eat.

love interest: doojoon // beast
backup: top // bigbang

personality: chansook among his circle of friends have always been known as the serious one, the smart one of the group basically. Like what Brain is to Arthur, that's what he is to his group of friends. just minus the awkward interactions. when he speaks sometimes his friends feel dumb bc of the words he uses and the way he uses them. he's also very protective around the people he genuinely cares for. he's the one to usually pull the dad jokes all the time and people may say, "oh, well he's 27! he's aging, of course he's gonna pull dad jokes." no. he's been pulling dad jokes his junior year of high school and it stuck with him. however, as smart as he maybe - he's practically dumb street wise. the poor man is like a lost deer in headlights sometimes when it comes to things on the streets and all and is always asking questions like, "how? what? what do i do? what do i say? ummm." but he's pretty pessimisstic, he always thinks every good thing that happens, a bad thing follows up. so sometimes a good thing that happens to him, doesn't last long bc rather than focusing on being happy at the moment, he over thinks the future.

interactions: between the two, it started off as a friendly and sweet friendship. sitting next to each other in class everday, saying hi here and there, then turned to asking for homework help then studying and hanging out. within the groups of friends they have together, over time - they got more relaxed with each other to the point many would consider their relationship a love-hate one. chansook often loves to insult her sometimes and even though on her face and what she says show she's not bothered, she's pretty bothered. but she does the same back insulting him, at his weakest points. they'll tackle each other and hit each other. the two argue and bicker a lot too, over little things, over talking to the person they hate, being friends with people they dislike, etc. with each other, they always have late night calls & late night food adventures because those two are the type to stay up late no matter what. because they've been friends for awhile sometimes she steals his shirts or sweaters bc she hasn't done laundry and is lazy. people obviously can tell they like each other, but they always say, "friends do this too."
love story: they both met their freshmen year, when taejin first moved to korea. she really wasn't talkative at first just because she still wasn't used to the new country move thing. the two were seat partners and chansook was really well-known because he played sports and was friendly with majority of people. at first, they never spoke, occasionally chansook sit in frustration about the classwork and taejin would speak up to help him. or occasionally she'll ask him a question for help and he'll help. over time they got used to each other and would joke around, making jokes about the teacher or students, etc. over the years, they became the closest of friends ever. however, during senior year - the both suddenly started dating other people, so their friendship with each other lessened, they stopped communicating and hanging out. not because they didn't want too but both each other's partners didn't like that the two were best friends. but the second the two were dumped by each other's significant other, they looked for each other to console. as college came around, taejin was a bit more wild and free, even though she couldn't really get a guy - guys can't really turn down a hook up. and it was always chansook who came to the rescue to help her out the next morning or that night, etc. their relationship often drifted apart sometimes during college often because chansook couldn't be there for her when he got a girlfriend and she was never around him when he was dating, even when he called and needed someone to be there. she just didn't wanna feel any sorts of jealousy either and she could tell that she was starting to fall for her best friend. however, eventually she started being there for her friend again when realizing he really needed someone for advice and whatnot, even after the several girls he dated he still didn't know what to do. now that chansook works at a law firm, he's usually busy with work has no time to date. but every lunch time, the two would meet up to get something to eat.

"no, chansook - you don't understand! I spilled coffee from the 20th floor stairs and it spilled down to the first floor." she laughed and then proceeded to choke on her lunch from laughing. his face turned to disgust and passed her drink over to her.  "relax, it's not even that funny." he rolled his eyes as he picked up a few pieces of his udon before shoving it his mouth. "hey taejin look at these fake noodles, they're an imPASTA." he laughed. she looked at him weirdly before drinking her water, "you and your ty jokes." she scoffed and continued with her story. he put down his chopsticks and listened to her. from his perspective, he could never understand how a girl like taejin was all over the place. one moment laughing, the other being a total meanie, and the next second sad sometimes. he liked that she was always comfortable around him, since he saw her emotional side, her angry side, her cheerful side - oh but his favorite was her total douche personality when all she does is insult him. "yah! bae chansook, are you even listening?" she snapped her fingers.

"i am," he groaned. "you're such an old hag, always bothering me."
"me? a HAG? IM NOT THE ONE SPEWING DAD JOKES YOU BABOON!" she kicked him under the table. "yah, yah - vita!" he started laughing while holding onto his shin. "i-i was just kidding!" he laughed, seeing the angry look on her face.

ending: "there's nothing i hate... more than holding in my feelings!!!!" taejin slammed the bottle of soju down on her coffee table. that night she called chaeeun over to just hang out and watch a movie. it ended up with a drunk taejin complaining about holding her feelings for too long. "who is he? the guy you like?" chaeeun questioned as she threw a grape inside , not phased by the drunk taejin. "the one I introduced you too, my best friend... bae chansook? hehehe his name gets me giddy," she cooed as she cupped her own face. "twelve years of friendship, chaeeun - could you believe that? and he never once had feelings for me." she laid her head down on her coffee table. "i don't say that, i'm sure he does. i mean twelve years is a LONG time." chaeeun chuckled leaning back. soon the door of the apartment chimed, "who's home?" taejin's head perked up. "probably hana, she's usually home late isn't it she?" chaeeun answered and got up. "i'll go check."

taejin nodded and laid her head down again, mumbling some random words. "oh, chansook! what are you doing here?" chaeeun asked as she let him in. "hey chaeeun! it's saturday, we usually go on late night ad..." his eyes drew to the unconscious taejin. "she's drunk?" he chuckled. "yeah - sorry about that, I didn't know you were coming."

"oh no, it's no biggy, I didn't call ahead. but looks like she's asleep, I'll take her to her room?"

"go ahead, I'll clean up here." chaeeun offered as chansook walked over and carried taejin to her bedroom. as he draped her blanket over her, her eyes opened a bit before smiling, "hey..." she said. "hey taejin -"

"sit down chaeeun, I need to tell you the rest of my story about my feelings." she mumbled quietly. "taejin, i'm not -"

"girrrlll, just listen please, I just really don't know how I'm supposed to tell him I have feelings for him."

"for who?"

"for chansook, silly. I told you like twice already." she giggled a bit before sitting up, her eyes were closed and she was leaning over from time to time because of being sleepy. "why aren't you giving me a response, chaeeun?" she whined as she spread herself over her bed. chansook was speechless, having to hear what his best friend said. "y-you're drunk and l-lying." he stuttered, his heart started pounding and threw the blanket over her again. he walked towards the door, before turning around to look at her one more time. "maybe i shouldn't tell him chaeeun..." she breathed. "he told me about this wonderful girl who's his coworker, she seems brilliant and he seems to like her. he'll never like someone like me." she shrugged before fixing her position in bed and turning her back towards him.

"but I do..." he said it low enough for her not to hear.

"good night chaeeun," she snuggled against her pillow before falling asleep.
romance
interview
why did you join romance for dummies?: the internet is a wonderful place honestly. you can meet all sorts of people, especially the helpless... kind of dumb ones? i mean - i don't think the girls are dumb... /chuckles nervously/ just more surprised of how they are. but i joined for the fun of it, to see how it really is. and it really is what i think it is.
what was your first impression?: jokes, just ing jokes. like i thought this is a joke! like no one can actually be like this. /shakes her head in disbelief/ boooyyyy was i wrong.
what is your current impression?: currently, im sitting here constantly like are you kidding me - are you guys really forreal right now because i - /pauses to breathe/ but i mean, that's the 50% of me the other 50% is let me save you guys. and also, i enjoy some of the girls. they're pure, as I'd like to say. I don't know, I'm starting to get used to romance for dummies and the girls.
do you get along with the others?: in the beginning? no. probably because knowing me, i was really really judgemental at first. /chuckles/ but i'm starting to warm up to the girls, they're fun to be around and I mean some of them are just my cup of tea it's great! /claps hands/  i really would enjoy it if we meet up often, just because i love going out to meet my friends, so i'm hoping these girls will meet up with me soon.
who are you closest to?: i personally am closest to chaeeun and [does it come with instructions], like chaeeun is such a young bright fluffball. and [does it come with instructions] is so cute, i love how she has to follow on things step by step, like i can tell she's really trying hard, it's admiring.
do you think they helped you with romance?: I'd say yes, a bit. even if i'm absolutely horrible with romance at times, they've helped quite a bit, i'm always up for learning more tips how to better with life. everyone needs a manual to handle life and romance.
does your love interest know you're in this group?: i tell chansook everything, but I didn't tell him this. because he's much more serious and not as childish as he used to be when he was younger, I feel like he'd judge me so hard - not in a bad way, but he'd just look at me weirdly. /starts turning red and laughs/ like he'd be like "wtf... okay you damn lemur,"
have you ever considered leaving? if yes, why didn't you?: yes, I thought it was just a waste of time at first. but honestly, i grow attach to friends and people easily and I started to really enjoy these girls and I wanted to help a lot more with whatever. /shrugs and smiles/ they're sweet, i like them. /makes a heart sign/
