age — 20 (about to turn 21)
Ethinicity — American

appearance — Callie has a small birthmark near the edge of her right eyebrow. She is 5'2 and 110 lbs.

fashion style — Callie's style is basically just cool, comfortable, and laid back. Coming from New York people would think she would be more on the high end fashion trends, but she would rather stick with a pair of skinny jeans, converse, and a t-shirt with some random saying on the front. If she feels like styling it up a little bit, she'll thrown in a cute jacket or a flannel. Black and blue are her signature colors.

superhero look — Her superhero costume is a black bodysuit with a blue bird on the chest. She has blue gloves and blue boots as well. She wears a black mask to conceal her face.

why aren't there synonyms for 'me'.

traits — Optimistic, Forgiving, Friendly, Pliable, Pushy, Selfless

personality

"Hi, I'm Callie and starting today we're going to be friends, okay?" // Callie is the type to reach out to those who seem on the quieter, lonelier side. People who are opposite of Callie attract her attention more because she feels that they just need a little push in order to bring out their friendly, social side. She wants everyone to feel included, like they belong there. So if someone looks ignored, unhappy, lost, lonely, or scared, Callie is off to save the day. Her over-friendliness tends to get on people's nerves and try to push her away since she practically won't ever leave them alone until they agree to be friends with her, but Callie doesn't care. She thinks it's just a defense mechanism and that they need to be pulled out of their shell. Even though her intentions are good, it makes her seem like she doesn't care about the feelings of the other person since she makes things overly uncomfortable for them. However 8/10 times she usually succeeds at helping them open up. That other 2% is still a work in progress.

"I like to see the glass as half-full." // Callie is a lot more optimistic than most would think. When something goes wrong, she finds a way to look on the brighter side of things - try to find some good that came from that situation. Wear a formal dress to a non-formal event? "At least we look 100 times better than everyone else!" The hotel that you booked isn't as great on the inside as it looked in the pictures? "At least we found a place to sleep for the night!" The city is being attacked? "The young avengers are here to save the day!" She fails to see the severity of situations, only focusing on the good. She's always in a happy-go-lucky type of mood, it's almost unbelievable really. She doesn't let anything dampen her spirits. If someone is in a bad mood, she'll try to cheer them up because "everyone looks better with a smile." She sees the good in all people, even those with dark hearts, and tries to bring out that goodness in them. Sometimes, Callie tries a little too hard and ends up making things worse.

"Everyone deserves a second chance, don't you think?" // Forgive and forget - that's Callie's motto whenever it comes to dealing with people who have done something bad. Everyone has messed up at least once in their life, but you shouldn't let that dictate who you are as a person. No matter what a person has done, they should always get a second chance. She's seen what happens to a person when they hold grudges in their heart, what happens when you let that anger boil for such a long time. It isn't healthy for the soul. So she would rather just forgive and forget. However, many people take advantage of her trust. Since she's so trusting, Callie is quite easy to fool. She's easy to influence, which isn't always a good thing. Being the selfless person that she is, she'll disregard her own happiness and safety for the well being of others. It's easy to take advantage of her which gets her into trouble a lot.

"I'd rather kill myself first before killing another person." // Callie believes that violence is never the answer to anything. There has to be another option. Killing animals, sure she can deal with that even though it still pains her to do so. But killing an actual person? She doesn't feel like she could ever do it. It just goes against everything she believes in. There has to be another way around it. If she were ever faced with a decision where she had to kill someone, she would probably break down crying unsure of what to do. Sure, killing the person might be for the greater good, but it's still a living person. With her abilities, she can easily hit her target with no problem at all, but she just doesn't want to. She doesn't think she can do it, so she leaves the dirty work to everyone else.

background — As the daughter of the nicknamed 'Mr. and Mrs. Smith' couple, life hadn't always been easy for young Callie. Her parents disagreed on just about anything and everything when it came to raising their daughter. Bobbi felt that Callie should grow up to become a hero, just like she and Clint were. She wanted to start training Callie at an early age so she would be able to successfully follow in their footsteps. Clint, however, believed that Callie should be able to choose herself what she wanted to do with her life. She didn't have any special powers or anything like flying or super speed or anything that she would question when she got older, so why force something upon her when it wasn't necessary? Their constant fighting led to them filing for divorce when Callie was 8, both agreeing to share custody of Callie (living with each parent 2 months at a time) and to not tell her about how they were superheroes until they both felt she was ready.

Almost a year after the divorce, Callie was staying at her mom and her mom's boyfriend's house. They were expecting a baby soon, but didn't tell Callie or Clint about it. Her mom's boyfriend got drunk one night and started yelling at Callie for coming home late that night. He went off on a tangent and ended up telling her how her mom didn't even want her anymore when her ex husband denied her the chance to train their daughter. The whole reason she had a kid to begin with was so that she could train them to continue their legacy. They were a power couple and could have been even greater with a great daughter to follow in their footsteps. But since that didn't happen, she didn't to be with Clint or Callie anymore. She hated that her daughter was such a weakling. So the new baby that is on the way is going to be what Callie wasn't. Callie took a bus back to her dad's place because she was so overwhelmed by what she just learned. She told him everything that she learned and he told her the truth, about how they were heroes and why her mom really left.

At Callie's request, Clint began to teach Callie to shoot with a bow and arrow. He found that she was a natural at archery, while she enjoyed it and trained with anything that she could get her hands on from soda cans to hunting a few deer in the forest with her dad ("Don't cry, bud. The deer will forgive you since they're dying for the greater good.") When she was at her mom's house (after they talked it out and Callie forgave her), Bobbi enrolled her in taekwondo and gymnastics classes. Callie didn't find either of those activities as fun as archery, especially since she didn't like hurting others, but she wanted her mother to be happy and not see her as a failure or a weakling anymore. She also pushed Callie into learning how to handle a gun "in case of emergencies." Afraid to say no to her mother, she learned how to use it and never picked it up again after her last lesson.

In 7th grade, Callie made a friend in Alexandria Delgado, daughter of Mauricio Delgado - CEO of Delgado Enterprises. Alexandria, or Alex, was a tomboyish, rebellious character. She ditched classes often and got into fights with other kids. Callie took an interest in her, thinking that all Alex needed was a friend that would listen to her. One day on the bus, all the seats were taken up and the only available space was next to Alex. Callie, not afraid of her like the other kids were, walked up to her and handed her a green apple that her dad packed her for lunch and took a seat next to her. She had noticed Alex always eating them, so she assumed Alex liked them. Alex at first didn't say anything and just gave her a questioning look, but then took the apple and muttered a quick thanks. Being the persistent person that she is, she wouldn't leave Alex alone after that unti she agreed to be friends with her. Short-tempered Alex eventually agreed as long as Callie would shut up, and the two have grown to be best friends much to everyone's surprise. Callie made sure that Alex wouldn't get into fights and that skipping classes wasn't good for her. Alex's life had really turned around for the better thanks to Callie. This is when Callie started to become more insistent on making friends with quiet, misunderstood, lonely people. Alex doesn't know that Callie is a young avenger, but she is considering if she should tell her or not since her constant disappearance is affecting their relationship.

Occupation or student — Callie is currently a second year college student at NYU with a major in psychology with a minor in child development. She wants to be able to help children of all ages who are troubled, like Alex was.

likes
✖ — triple chocolate fudge brownies with vanilla ice cream - baked sweets are the way to Callie's heart (assuming she doesn't already like you). Brownies are her kryptonite, her absolute favorite baked sweet out of them all. Make them for her and you've won her over.
✖ — nature - living in New York can be a bit suffocating, literally. All that smog from the cars and factory buildings isn't healthy for the lungs at all. Callie loves to venture out of the city away from all that filth and just spend time in nature.
✖ — puns - the cheesier they are, the better.
✖ — archery - if she isn't off chasing her latest "victim" and begging them to be her friend, then you can find her either at the archery range or the forest practicing
✖ — music - her other way of escaping reality
✖ — The Harry Potter series - call it nerdy or whatever, but she has a small obsession for anything HP or just fantasy world related.

dislikes
✖ — Unecessary violence - there is always another way to do things. Violence isn't always the answer. It's the one thing Callie hates the most.
✖ — killing - well, that last one was a lie. There is something Callie hates more than violence and that's killing a person. Animals she can somewhat deal with, but killing an actual person? Never.
✖ — making people unhappy - especially her parents. She'll do anything to keep them happy, even if that means giving up her own happiness.
✖ — when people call her Calypso - she hates that name. No one calls her that, not even her own parents even when she's in trouble.
✖ — dresses and heels - you can't move around in them well so why on earth would you wear them?
✖ — pineapples - she actually found out that she was allergic to them after having a really bad allergic reaction that ended up having her rushed to the hospital.

hobbies
✖ — composing - Callie discovered a passion for music during middle school. With her love for music, she took up the guitar and began to write some of her own songs. Not many people have heard her work though.
✖ — fixing things that aren't in her reach - even if she knows that there's nothing she can do to help, she will still find a way to help. This usually lands her in bad situations and makes things worse than before.
✖ — being nosy - Callie likes to know things. She wantd to know everything that goes on in the lives of people around her so that she can find ways to "improve" or "help" them.

habits
✖ — biting her nails when she's thinking hard about something
✖ — smacking other people just a little too hard when she's laughing or joking around. she doesn't know how strong she actually is.
✖ — laughing at inappropriate times (like during lectures or while watching a sad movie). laughing is her way of coping with things.

trivias
✖ — She has stage fright so she doesn't perform in front of people, not even her mom or dad. The only person she ever played for is her half-sister Rowan.
✖ — She once snuck a stray kitten into her dad's house and tried to raise it as her own pet, but her dad caught on real quick since he's allergic to cats.
✖ — She owns a pair of glasses like Harry Potter's and a wand as well. She'll have these with her as she reads her Harry Potter books (but absolutely no one can find out about this).
✖ — If she were an animal, she would be a bear because she loves "bear hugs."

family

Father | barton, clint (Hawkeye) | 43 | supportive, protective, grudge-bearing
— To Callie, Clint was probably the best dad in the entire universe. He supported her in whatever she took interest in, even if it had nothing to do with continuing his legacy and becoming a superhero as well. She was and always will be "daddy's little princess" in his eyes. He would do anything to protect his little girl, even if she's not so little anymore. He holds a grudge against his ex-wife, Callie's mom, and her boyfriend for telling Callie everything before she was ready and for making her feel like she was worthless. He also holds a grudge against them because Bobbi was seeing her boyfriend while Clint and her were still married. He almost killed her boyfriend, but Callie stopped him. When Callie turned 17, she encouraged him to put himself out there and start going on dates. She didn't want him to live the rest of his life alone. He eventually met Laura, and the two dated for three years until she got tired of waiting and finally proposed. They are getting married this winter.

Father's girlfriend | laura | 38 | Loving, Perceptive

— Laura was the mother that Callie had always wanted. She was the perfect definition of a mother - caring, loving, supportive, and all around a wonderful person. Laura loved Callie as if she was her own daughter. At first, Callie was a little wary around Laura since she wanted to make sure that she would be a good match for her father. But the minute she came over on their third date with a batch of triple chocolate fudge brownies she knew instantly that this woman was a keeper. They even shared their love for puns together, always being punny with each other, much to Clint's chagrin. This woman just seemed way to perfect to be true. Laura fell in love with Callie's caring nature and her relationship with her dad. She knew she was meant to be a part of this family. After dating for three years, she didn't want to wait any longer and asked Callie if it was okay for her to ask for her dad's hand in marriage. They will be getting married this winter.

Mother | Morse, Barbara/Bobbi (mockingbird) | 41 | assertive, stubborn, caring
— Unlike her ex-husband, Bobbi wanted to push Callie to become a hero like her and Clint. She had a whole plan for them to be a super family that everyone could look up to. But she was angry that things didn't work out the way she wanted. Callie looks up to her mother as a hero, and she can see how her mother is actually trying to be a better mother now that she has another daughter, but she wishes that her mother would be more open and listen to her more. She isn't as close to her mother as she is with her father. As Callie got older, she spent less and less time at her mother's house since she just felt so out of place there. She still calls her mom every now and then to check up on her and Rowan.

Half-sister | Morse, rowan | 14 | introverted, stubborn
— Callie isn't as close with her half-sister as she wishes she was. She tries not to hold a grudge since "forgive and forget" is her motto, but she can't help but be jealous of the relationship Rowan has with their mom. Whenever Callie is at her mom's house, the two of them are awkward about everything except one thing - their mutual love for music. Rowan plays the piano while Callie plays the guitar. The two of them write songs together and that's basically the only thing the two talk about when they're together.

friends

Best friend | delgado, alexandria | 20 | sarcastic, rebellious, outgoing
— Alex and Callie have been friends since middle school. Callie is the one who keeps Alex in check - making sure that Alex actually goes to class and stays out of trouble. Without Callie, Alex is 100% sure that she would probably be in jail or dead somewhere from overdosing on drugs. Alex wishes that her dad would pay more attention to her and is jealous of the relationship Callie has with Clint. She always hangs around the Barton household because it feels more like a home than her own house does. As Callie gets busier and busier with her hero work, Alex feels abandoned since Callie is never around anymore and starts to do bad things hoping that will make Callie come back to her.

friend | zuri | 21 | intelligent, curious, reserved

— Zuri and Callie both attend NYU together. They met as freshmen at student orientation. Callie looked unbelievably lost and Zuri asked her if she needed help. Ever since then, Callie has relied on Zuri for anything related to school. They've taken a couple general education classes together, but since they are completely different majors, they never have classes together anymore. They still make time to see each other and have lunch once in awhile. Callie likes to consider Zuri somewhat of a mother figure and role model in her life since she takes care of Callie and is so sure of everything that she does. She confides in Zuri with her conflicted feelings about telling her loved ones why she's really disappearing a lot and other personal things, and Zuri tells her the honest truth.

friend | Natasha Romonoff (black widow) | 38 | strong willed, independent

— Laura is really good friends with Natasha. How they met, Callie isn't too sure since no one will tell her anything. Natasha, or Auntie Nat, is very affectionate with Callie - hugging her tightly the minute she meets her. She tells her that even if she isn't Laura's kid, she's still Laura's kid. Everytime Natasha comes to visit after visiting a place, she always brings some kind of figurine souvenir for Callie. Natasha had actually met Callie before, but it was only once when she was a baby. She fell in love with her in that instant and wanted a child of her own. She had always told Laura that when the two of them had kids, they woud be good friends like they were, but Laura never had any.  She tries to push her kid to be friends with Callie, but that only annoys the kid. But eventually the two become friends, which makes Natasha extremely happy.

friend | Natasha Romonoff's Kid | Age | personality

— Laura and the Bartons are really good friends with Natasha and her family. When Laura moved in after about a year, Callie found out that Natasha had a kid that was around her age. When Natasha and her kid came over for dinner one night, Callie and Natasha's child didn't exactly hit it off like Callie had hoped. But after lots of family outings and spending time with each other, the two became closer.

The young avengers
— She hopes that being around other people that are in the same situation like her will ease her guilt about not telling Alex about why she keeps disappearing for long periods of time. And it never hurts to make more friends, right?

who knows how to dismantle a security camera?

alias — Bluejay

Power — Callie does not have any special powers, but she thinks that flying is super cool.

Weapon — Just like her father, Callie uses a bow and arrow as a main choice of weapon. Her arrows aren't just any plain old arrows. She uses different types of trick arrows. The ones she commonly uses are elemental, such as flare arrows, electrical arrows, and freezing arrows. She also uses acid arrows, but scarcely. Her mother taught her how to use a gun as well (as stated above), though Callie doesn't like using guns very much. She only uses it when she's completely out of arrows and if hand-to-hand combat isn't an option.

abilities — She has 98% accuracy and can almost hit anything within a 120 m radius, moving or not. Besides her accuracy, she also has major flexibility and excels in acrobatics due to her gymnastics classes and her mother's extra training. She was also trained in taekwondo. She doesn't use any special weapons when physically fighting against someone like her mother does, but if she has access to anything close by that can substitute as a weapon then she will use it. She isn't the best at hand-to-hand combat, but she is strong enough to defend herself.

the team — Callie enjoys being on the team with the others. Being around people whose whole purpose to help and protect other people is everything she could ever ask for. They understand what it's like to have to keep secrets from those they love and having people that can relate to her is comforting. However due to her too-trusting, easily forgiving, practically pacifist attitude, the team isn't sure if Callie really fits in with the team. She feels the same way too and worries that she's bringing the team down. However, because of her "there must be another way" mentality, the team has been able to make better, strategic plans that involve little to no bloodshed. More lives are saved. Plus, Callie's sharp eye for shooting helps them spot things that they would normally miss, if they need to take down something that's flying around she can shoot it down, and her small stature can get her to places that others can't.

hey. you know i love you, right?

love interest — If it's at all possible, maybe another applicant?

faceclaim — If you have a OC for a love interest or if the name is different from their actual name.

backup love interest — Just reamining single, not ready to mingle.

ethnicity — Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet.

birthday / age — Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet.

Power or Ability — do they have a power or ability? Are they a superhero?

alias — if they are a superhero? what's their alias? If not, delete this.

personality — Describe it to me. ( One or two paragraphs or more is fine)

first meeting — They could probably meet on a mission or maybe if they go to the same school they can meet there first. They probably won't like each other at first, probably find each other annoying or something because of a misunderstanding. Even though Callie can find the good in all people, she states tells her friends that she can absolutely see no good in this boy whatsoever.

time to assemble!

comments/suggestions — Sorry if none of my background or anything makes sense. I like Marvel, but I don't follow too closely so I'm not very familiar with everything that went on.

scene requests — None. But I'm really looking forward to how you plan on writing things out. This is such a good idea for a story, I'm really excited whether or not you choose my character or not.
password — Walking on Sunshine by Katrina and the Waves. Mainly just the chorus.

turn in — back to the story
