PERSONALITY :　

From the start, anyone who sees Dohyun for the first time would agree about how energetic he is. Not being able to stand still for a single minute, a part of his body has to be moving or else he might explode. Always talking with a loud voice, his crazy and awkward movements make it clear of his personality. Once someone starts to get to know the male, it's either you hate him or...well hate him a little bit less.

Still to anyone he cares for he's...still pretty much what people thinks of him as.

Doyun is a guy who is very sure of himself and whatever he does..even if he at it. To put it in a very positive way he's a passionate guy who knows what he wants to do and is pretty much clear on how to do it, he has his own set of goals that to some might not get at all but he made it 10 years without quitting right? Not to mention he did also become quite self-disciplined. Learning most of the things the trainees taught him over the course of the years he's been there, he got a habit of making his own set of practies and goals as that relates to how he tends to set goals most people wouldn't get. For example, one day his goal would be perfecting a dance without any extra unneeded steps. He tends to admit without the two traits, he wouldn't have made it this far. But that's also where the bad habits are shown. With his self-disciplined mind, he tends to expect the same improvement from the team.

It's pretty hard to make Dohyun get annoyed. If you don't count his ballet teacher, he doesn't mind the teasings from others but he tends to become pretty serious during practice hours.

Looking over the members if he sees that one isn't trying hard enough or keeps on getting it wrong, he would comment out loud of the issue and tell him to try it until he gets it right. Dohyun knows of this side and hates it. Always asking the older memebers to put him undercontrol if he gets too carried away he's been trying to change himself and as an apology he would buy the group some fastfood they like. Not to mention nowadays he would just comment about a five minute break and go talk to the member of the problem and try to fix it.

Not to mention his personality was definitely influenced by his stay near the entertainment world. Becoming pretty much responsive to people's face and reaction, he became pretty quick-witted. Making sure to say things others would like to hear, most of the time he would keep his thought to himself while say positive remarks he doesn't mean on the outside. This definitely comes in handy when the CEO gets angry by a mistake they made and Dohyun would slightly ease the anger with his words. But because of this, there's a side effect. Getting use to always saying what others wants to hear, he became quite secretive of his own thoughts and feelings. Always keeping a smile on his face, people who aren't a fan of him would try their best to break that shell.

Some would call it being professional while some calls it being fake.

Maybe it's because of how he feels like he can really go far with this group, or even how he knows everyone in the entertainment industry isn't as nice as everyone thinks, he can be pretty overprotective. Always making sure to introduce themselves to a new person they meet off the stage he doesn't want really anyone in the group to get hurt. Not to mention if anyone disses their group, that's when his annoyance comes out. He would start off with a cheerful remark but end it with a serious or intimmidating comment as it would tell people that hates him that he's even more fake when the cameras are stopped rolling.

Now you may think wow he's trash and does nothing useful but easing the CEO's anger- but let me tell you how he actually has a 'decent' side. He has that certain compassionate side that doesn't tend to come out a lot in front of many people. It only shows when his friends are in need of some kind of advice and in which...he's pretty good at them. His advices...aren't the niecest, sweetest thing it's rather...realistic, he doesn't like to sugar coat anything as she feels like that would hurt them more. You would wonder how she kept the many friends around her.

Overall, Dohyun isn't a terrible guy per say...but you could say he has his cunning ways with words.

Always calling his own feelings 'cheesy' his goal is to go big so he thinks something like his feelings aren't that important. Heck- he's the leader of a huge group and that's a title he should be honored to have!

BACKGROUND :　

Starting from the start, Han Dohyun wasn't really going to be a 'normal' teenager. With a divorce of his parents at a young age, he was pretty calm and collected for his age. As his mother wanted Dohyun to become a professional dancer like herself. Starting from the young age of five, he really didn't have a say in the choice at all. As his mom became friends with a professional ballerino from a dance competiton she was in. Loving the dance but not really being good at the certain dance, she only wanted Dohyun to become a professional ballerino like Hanamura Tooru, the professonal ballerino. Learning from a young age with Dohyun's mom wanting him to concentrate more on the dance and not school, he had a hard time making friends at first as he just did not like the dancing but he couldn't say anything against her as he was too scared and knew how badly she wanted this dream.

Still, thinking, it's not as bad as he thought it would have been, that was when he finally wanted something for his own. At the age of seven, going to a concert of his mom's favorite solo artist, Kim Jong Kook, that was when he finally wante to be a singer that inspires others through his voice (more in the interview section). After that day he begged and begged until she finally let him have singing tutor with a promise of not giving up on the dream of becoming a ballerino as he practice harder with his tutor. After six years of vocal practices filled with killer ballet composition he had to remember, it was a luck that he got in to JYP at the age of 13. It was clear with ballet practices he wasn't that great of a vocalist. getting in only because of quote, 'singing with ease' by the famous JYP himself.

Nothing eventful happens until his last year of high school. Getting used to his hectic scheduel, he easily made friends with his personality but not really ones that he could count on 100% of the time. Being a trainee for six years and a pretty known ballerino in the country for about three years now with the title of 'rising star', he thought he could handle all the stress thrown at him.

Boy was he wrong.

On his 22nd birthday he came down to a feeling he thought he never would have had in his life. A crush on his damn ballet teacher. Call it a fluke or just a 'late teen crisis' or even the 'hormones' just going crazy. Who thought this would even happen? It was probably because of this he tried his best to push away from the male, not wanting to feel terrible about himself. Because of this, he couldn't take it anymore. asking his mom with a promise to become an idol that held the similar popularity of professional ballerino someday he begged to let him quit. But of course she's couldn't let that happen. With the much money already spent on his lessons she said Dohyun could take a break from it..and if this idol thing didn't work out he would go back to becoming a professional ballerino.

With this he could fully concentrate on his own goal- becoming an idol. Never really going to college after his high school years, who knows how it was for the male, the only thing in his mind was to debut. The last two years being pretty crazy with the moving from the old entertainment and getting lucky once more and joining the debut line.

LIKES :

▸ Anime ⋮ Here it is, he's basically an otaku. Does he keep it a secret? Not really, he doesn't see the point of keeping that kind of thing a secret. He got in to it because when he was little whenever he got back home from practice it wuld be too late to play outside so he enjoyed his own time with this as he just grew up with it by his side.

▸ Coffee ⋮ A.k.a his best friend since high school. To be honest, he wasn't a fan of it when he was in the beginning of highschool but after drinking it in his senior studying for the finals, he became friends with it pretty quickly. Craving it almost everyday,. his favorite is plain black coffee (everyone looks at him in disgust cause who can drink such a bitter thing) but he likes sweeter drinks once in a while.

▸ Skinship ⋮ With a friendly personality, it's kind of obvious that he wouldn't mind some kind of skinship. Not to mention not liking when he gets hot, if there are members that are at least a bit more colder than him he would all over him if you know what I mean but he thinks it's just a bonus that the fans love that.

▸ Peach flavored drinks ⋮ To your surprise, he actually hates the fruit but for some reason he loves peach flavored drinks. If he gets a question of why or how he would answer with a shrug and might start on a rant of how great peach flavored drinks are and those things will probably save the world from dying.

▸ Aquariums ⋮ He loves the fishes. He really does. No one knows why but he loves them.

▸ Spicy food ⋮ For some reason, unlike how he hates hot weather, he can eat spicy foodlike a pro. Showing his skills in a eating program, most would be shock by his tolerance level of being able to eat those kind of stuff. He talks about how it does slightly burn but he likes the taste of it. Not to mention he doesn't sweat that much either.

▸ Mean Girls ⋮ It was a mistake. It really was. With a friend showing him this movie, he kind of became obsess with it as he would quote some from the movie. But not being that popular in Korea he would get weird looks from people time to times. But thankfully the love died down a bit but he still thinks it's a classic.

▸ Dancing ⋮ Even though he 'stopped' the ballet lessons he still loves to practice some of the moves. If anything he loves any type of dancing. Not to mention he has his own goal of perfecting as many dancing styles as he can manage. It's on his bucket list and he really hopes to fulfill it someday.

DISLIKES :

▸ Hot weather ⋮ Usually ruins the whole mood for him. Not really liking sweat that didn't come out from dance practices, he tends to keep his room, or anywhere he's in to be pretty cold.

▸ Tea ⋮ Tried it once in middle school and he hated it. From than on whenever he sees tea he gets chills and decline any offer of tea he is given as politely as possible if that's even possible after making a terrible facial expression.

▸ Sour food/candy ⋮ Whenever he eats a sour candy he makes a terrible ugly face. Those also appear on candies with sour fruit flavor where they weren't suppose to be that sour in the first place. Basically he has a weak sour tolerance level and he hates it.

▸ Bugs ⋮ He hates them. He really does. He will literally run the opposite way even when in a conversation even if he sees a small bug screaming like a wimp.

▸ Cats ⋮  Not really a fan as he gets a bit awkward around any type of cats as you can see, going to anything close to a cat cafe would end up with him freezing up or just awkwardly walking around and wishing he could just go home already.

▸ Waking up early ⋮ He's a old man now, a halmoni for pete's sake let the old halmoni enjoy his darn beauty sleep.

▸ Not being able to perfect a dance move ⋮  Because of the years of learning ballet, he has a habit of putting extra movements in to a dance when it's suppose to be a more strong, and precise dance. It's a gift and a curse but he tends to hate it most of the time.

▸ Staying still ⋮ He's going to explode.

HABITS :

▸ Mumbling in his sleep ⋮ He doesn't really know where the habit came from but before he knew it, in a sleepover with his friends, one of them told him about the mumbling as it's mostly about nothing (ex. food he wants to eat or running from a giant man eating squid...the usual.) But because of this, almost none of the members would want to room with him

▸ Biting on his bottom lips ⋮ Just whenever he's focused on something, he has a habit of biting his bottom lips. Most of the times you could see him doing this in the practice room or right before a performance. Still he sooner or later realizes how his fans love it when he bites his lips so he would do it on purpose sometimes.

▸ Hitting people when laughing ⋮ Another reason why some of the members wouldn't like to be next to him. Whenever he's laughing out loud he would hit the guy next to him cause heck it's funny and he can't control himself when he's laughing so hard?? But isn't that everybody when laughing too hard?

HOBBIES :

▸ Practicing ⋮ He thinks it's fun- he doesn't mind the extra lessons as he likes to improve on hiw own and he doesn't want to bring the team down as he's pretty sure he's overall the weakest member in his team.

▸ Playing video games ⋮ Right now he's pretty much crazy about Overwatch- even after a hard practice he would at least try to play one game of it before he sleeps.

▸ Watching anime ⋮ It's pretty clear by now isn't it? He tends to go on rants about the anime he watches. About how 'my baby didn't deserve that' or 'god he's so disgusting- I love him' and ect.

▸ Knitting ⋮ Don't ask how it started, it just happened.

OTHER :

▸ Pokemon GO ⋮ He's going crazy. He can't stop this satan of a game and he hates himself for it but he has to catch'em all.

▸ Doesn't get scared easily ⋮ Lightning, thunderstorms, or even haunted houses, he's surprisingly hard to scare.

▸ Pet ⋮ Has a Jindo-dog name Shin (a.k.a God in english)

▸ Reads fanfics ⋮ Wasn't expecting them to make one- he regrets going in to a world he can't get out of but now he likes to laugh at them while showing them to the other members.

▸ Burning everything ⋮  He can't cook. At all. Don't let him cook. Pls x

▸ Such talent ⋮ He's ambidextrous. If a MC in a variety show asks of Dohyun to show them a talent he would start twirling some pens in both of his hands and expect a loud applaus.

▸ Radwimps ⋮  Is his favorite Japanese band and he would have most of their music on his phone and would recommendthem to fans.

▸ Electronics ⋮ Not knowing how electronics work, he just recently changed from a flip phone to a smart phone because of the complains from his little sister and how lame it was to have someone she knew to have a phone like that.

▸ SNS ⋮  Even if he can't use electronics well he sure does love his SNS, always uploading selfies and videos, if the fans needed some Suite stuff, they coud always go to his account for them.

As a professional dancer in her younger days, she became a judge for the Olympics and an instructer whenever she's not getting in to planes and going to overseas competition for judging. Known for her grace, it was because of her that he first started ballet. Even if they don't seem like it Doyun loves his mother and likes to think that even if she doesn't show it she's really caring.

They don't know if they're lucky to get similar faces or not but for sure they hate how they can't attack each other with things related to their looks cause...well they pretty much look a like. Just like most sibilings they tend to fight a lot but still somehow end up in good terms. Back when they were in middle school, you could always hear them screaming across the hallways.

Knowing that even if he had trained for 10 years (or more) he first felt pretty awkward since he knew how some of the members here did train longer in Yunrae entertainment. Because of it, with the short time they had before debuting, it was his own goal to let the members feel at least a bit comfortable around him. With this maybe it's the reason why some are comfortable around him as Dohyun's happy and doesn't mind the jokes.

Knowing Jihyo ever since she was 10, it's not that surprising that they're close. Being the younger trainees of JYP, you could say they were each other's wall when they needed someone to lean on. Leaving the entertainment, they till talk to each other as Jihyo loves to tease and make fun of him as Dohyun doesn't mind it since he knows she's just kidding.

Naturally being in a entrtainment for almost 10 years you would naturally make some kind of friends. Being there since 2006 he'd seen the big groups debut, starting from the Wonder Girls to Twice and he's thankful to have met many of them. Now, being realistic here he's not best friends with every one of them but he likes to think that he's somewhat of friends with most of them and close with a few.

If there's only one guy that can wipe a smile off of Dohyun's face, it would be his ballet teacher, Hanamura Tooru. Not even calling Tooru by his last name, in Dohyun's eyes he isn't a fan of the male. Knowing him from the young age of 5 you would think they would be close. To Tooru, he cares for Dohyun, trying to at least contact him and when he does meet him he tries to be nice.

It's kind of clear to Dohyun that Alex is not a fan of the leader. Dohyun tries his best to keep a positive mood in front of the male but he won't lie when someone asks if they're close. Not to mention not even having the time to know each other when being chosen for the debut line, you'll probably see Dohyun trying his best to make him laugh and at least practice the way he planned.

TRAINEE LIFE :　From JYP, it was pretty good at first. Getting in because of how JYP liked how Dohyun sanged with ease as he always looked for that easy swings and just singing for fun. (from the many years of watching Kpop Star) Hanging out with older trainees and with Jihyo since she was new like himself, it only seemed like it would take few years. Oh but of course that wouldn't happen. Not really known to be that much skilled, of course he would have a hard time. Always getting below marks on the monthly reviews, and he understands that since who would want a trainee that doesn't get that expected improvement? Still it wasn't like he hated JYP and he thanks for the time being there but after the 10 years and the recommendation from JYP himself that he should try a new entertainment, he decides to leave and audition for Yunrae ent.

The problem with the trainees didn't really happen until he was chosen for the debut line in Yunrae. Other trainees thinking that Dohyun was a competition because of his ballet background and being an ex-trainee of the big JYP, of course he would get chosen for the debut line so quickly. Even if he didn't meet the goals, it doesn't mean he had no skills as JYP just had pretty high expectations for him. Being rather 'salty' of this since in their opinion they've been in this entertainment longer. But as time passed by and and only being the few trainees that didn't like him and getting close to the members, it came to be pretty nice last moment as a title of a trainee.

PREDEBUT :

▸ JYP's connections used? ⋮ False ⋮ A rumor of how JYP used his connections so Dohyun could join Yunrae entertainment.
     ▸ It was true how JYP did recommend Yunrae entertainment as he knew of some of the workers there but he didn't pull any kind of strings as Dohyun auditioned fairly and got in with his skills he have gotten from JYP.

▸ Dohyun's attitude problem? ⋮ False ⋮ With a little look of the group's rehersal they captured the part where Dohyun was getting a bit annoyed at the members as the Netizens who weren't a fan of him starts to overreact.
     ▸ As mentioned in the personality section, he does admit to the problem but is trying to fix it. But that doesn't mean Dohyun has an attitude problem at all.

▸ Rookie group's Dohyun dating already? ⋮ False ⋮ hanging out with Jihyo, they didn't expect to actually get rumors out of this and pictures taken about how they are dating.

why did you pick yunrae entertainment - or to be an idol at all in that case? : 

▸ Hello, hello haha, /waves/ aren't we getting right to the questions! I'll start with the reason why I wanted to become an idol. When I was like what..seven? I went to a Kim Jong Kook's concert! My mother loved his voice and she was lucky to get a ticket and we went together. At first I was complaining, I mean what else do you expect a seven year old kid do in a ballad concert? But let me tell you now, my mother has one heck of a ear. Right when he began, I was amazed by his vocals and looking around others were also tranced..that was when I wanted to become a singer, I wanted to have that affect on people in a way that wasn't just ballet alone. After that, I begged my mom to put me in a vocal school. She wasn't a fan of it at first thinking my mind would dwell off of the plan she had in for me to become a ballet dancer but I promised I would work harder and she finally opened up. Auditioning a few days before my birthday I got in on my 13th birthday I...a kid who got vocal training for six years got in with a close mark.../laughs/ that was probably the best birthday present I have ever gotten. 

But you know, it's basically downhill from here.

Goodness, this is getting long isn't it? Even my good looks won't be enough to distract you /shrugs/ I basically couldn't match with JYP's expectations everytime we had a group or even a solo reviewing. And who in their right mind would let a kid that failed their expectations in to a group? But knowing JYP because of my long time being their he..recommended me Yunrae entertainment as he told me maybe their methods would let my skills open up more. And here I am? But with the guys I'm debuting, I don't regret the decision I made.

If you could pick another sub-unit to be in, which one would it be and why? : 

▸ Uh...good questions /laughs awkwardly/ as amazing my skills are I feel like I wouldn't really fit in to the big sub-groups like the Clubs and Spades? I mean if they need a visual member than hell I would join them but for other reasons, I can't play a instrument but my rap skills might be too much /nods/ but for the other plans I've seen? I wouldn't mind Deuce?I like to think my years of practice led me to a pretty steady voice while dancing /scratches the back of his head/

Is there a particular activity you'd like to try in the future (like acting, musicals, variety)? : 

▸ Oh man oh man! /excitment shows through his movement/ I've been dying to go on Running Man and see my idol, Jongkook-sunbae! And maybe talk shows like Radio Star? Here, I have a whole list in my phone's notes /get's his phone out/ hmm..

Huh? Anything else other than variety shows? /bites his bottom lip/ well I don't think I'm the one for acting? You'd think my amazing visuals would be a killer for dramas but I..can't act. Yes yes, this perfect guy has somekind of weakness to seem approachable right?

HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT YOUR SUNBAES? : 

▸ Well not really knowing them I've seen a few of their practice and some videos of their stage performances and I have to agree they're amazing. to be honest I'm not close to them at all and I give them their space but I would really love to become somewhat of a close sunbae, hoobae relationship.

But...to bit honest if you count how long I've been here I'm pretty sure at least half of the members in the Suite would basically be my 'sunbae.'
