PERSONALITY:

"I care about you" Yueliang apart from being one of the youngest members, she cares about all of them. Just like a mother she doesn't want to see her children getting hurt, she hates seeing someone alone, and she likes helping everyone that's in need, she isn't judgmental and she doesn't insult anyone even if they are the ones that were wrong all along. She would stay awake just to hear someone problems and help them without any problem or second thought.

"The world would look way more interesting, if everything was upside down!" Yueliang is known amongst the trainees do to her creativity; every time a crazy idea comes out they always know it must have come out from Yueliang's mouth. She has been a trainee for 4 years now and has seen a lot of idols gradually losing their creativity but as the years pass her creativity only gets bigger and sometimes she would like to narrow it down because she's so filled with her ideas that sometimes doesn't hear her fellow members ideas.

"Don't worry about it I'll use it wisely" Yueliang is also a really appreciative person; she will always be pleased with everything people give to her even if it was something simple as a rose that you can find anywhere. She understands the value of things, and she likes to use them wisely and she is always saying thank you to everyone that has given her something even if it was something that wasn't really good, she might spend the rest of her life thanking you because of your kindness. In return, she's willing to buy other people expensive gifts for example, when Taeyong bought her a polaroid machine for her birthday she bought him a PS4.

"Obsessed is the lazy word people use to describe the dedicated" Yueliang is a person that dedicates her whole self to everything she does, even if it's producing, writing, painting or singing no matter what it is she will always give 100% of her for those. She likes to make everything well, for example she won't stop practicing a choreography until its perfect which deeply scares her of falling in love.

"you don't like picking sides, i like that about you" - being biased, a thing that does not exist in yueliang's dictionary. Yueliang likes seeing things in a different perspective and doesn't mix anything with her feelings. professionalism at its best which explains why so many people tell her that she would be a perfect lawyer or a doctor. she will back up everything she says with known facts and there's a factual basis for everything she does/says.

"it's in our nature to help each other, just open up" - Yueliang is a really closed person, she doesn't tell anyone her problems and no one tells her their problems(except her members) simply because they assume that she just doesn't care. she bottles everything up, she doesn't tell anyone what she's going through, and she doesn't let people in, she just doesn't let people in because, she's afraid of learning how to love and then it all falls apart and then finding herself in a point that she feels like she can't survive without it and she can't let that happen.

"I'm so blunt that I am afraid I'll hurt you" Here’s the bad side of Yueliang, even though she’s caring and considerate towards other people, in her bad days she can be blunt, really blunt. She doesn’t sugar coat anything, she will be willing to sound mean and destroy a long friendship just to bring some sense to certain people. Though, she does this with only good intentions because some people need to start looking at the world with eyes that inspect everything not with eyes that just look at the pretty things.

"You're basically a machine with a heart, but a cold one" - Yueliang, the coldest and the most logical person on earth. she wouldn't even think twice about killing ten or even more just to save one mere life. she doesn't celebrate any holidays (Hanukkah,Easter,thanksgiving and etc) not because she doesn't believe in god but because she doesn't see a purpose in doing such things, things that she likes to consider as waste of precious time. yet she has somewhat of a heart, a small one but she does. she wouldn't hesitate to take care of a dear friend that's sick and make them a chicken broth but still wouldn't cry if you were in pain and would kill you if you asked her to just to get rid of the pain, perhaps the best way to call her is warm ice or even caring android.

"Sometimes you have to get away from all the action happening" She is caring and friendly, and being aloof totally contradicts those two parts of her, which make people think she’s Bipolar. She does like to back away from things from time to time but she doesn’t mean wrong with that, she will seem distant and reserved but that’s how she is, a complicated human being with a lot of concerns and thoughts.

“No one likes to lose, but competitive people like me hate to lose” Now, this trait, probably the trait that Yueliang hates the most about her. She’s on a regular basis competing with other trainees to find out who’s the best at writing songs or composing and she wins almost all the time but when she doesn’t you shan’t come near her or she might kill you with her bare hands. She hates losing, especially to people that aren’t even near her capacities, she constantly compares herself to others, usually seeing herself as an inferior being and trying to figure out what they have and she doesn’t.

BACKGROUND: 

"Born in a warm spring day" 24th March 1998, the day that Yueliang was brought to this world unexpectedly. Her parents were on vacation in Shanghai when she was born, she was supposed to be born in April but due to her mom's regular pain she was delivered prematurely. Due to the complications, she was born underweight and had to stay in the incubator for two weeks.  
She was born into a wealthy family, her dad Keiji was an illustrious scientist and her mom Meiling, was a recognized doctor all over the world. In a matter of a month, they moved back to Kobe, Hyōgo, Japan. As her parents were always working, she was raised by a geisha in training named Sakura, a lovely 28 year old girl that was being trained by Yueliang's grandmother. In order to be trained by Yueliang's grandmother who was a well known geisha she had to care of Yueliang or else she wouldn't train her.

“Luck won’t always be on our side will it?” In 2002, when Yueliang was a mere 4 year old baby, her parents decided to get a divorce for the reason that they didn’t love each other anymore and that they couldn’t force each other to stay together when they don’t feel nothing together. Since her mom had a less busy schedule, without any debate on court she was given to her mother.  As she was only a baby she wondered how this would affect her life, would it affect positively or negatively. She had no clue but she knew something was different and it would never be the same again. Imagine one day waking up and seeing your father leaving with his bags packed without a goodbye, she considers this the main reason and possibly the only reason behind her trust and abandonment issues.

“A new, exciting and bright life is ahead of us” When her mother got promoted at her job in 2006, she was given a choice, would she like to work in Seoul, South Korea, Lisbon, Portugal or in Helsinki, Finland. Without any second thoughts she chose Seoul because she knew the language and had always wanted to live there since she was a young child. Sakura, was left behind with Yueliang's grandmother to now dedicate her whole life to the Geisha world. As she had no friends, Yueliang spent a lot of time with Areum, a 24 year old girl, the new maid her mom had hired as soon as they got to Seoul, who showed her a lot of Korean dramas and Korean groups which resulted in Yueliang falling in love with the entertainment world, especially music. At the young age of 7 she started learning how to play the piano, flute, acoustic guitar and the violin, she enjoyed it a lot and it made her happy, which resulted in her mother’s happiness because all she cared about was Yueliang’s contentment.

“A new world that I want to show you” Yueliang wasn’t only into music, in fact she would various time push it to the side to focus on her studies. Her grades were perfect, her mother was paying more attention to her, she was the best student in school and her love for music was only growing more as the days passed. Her life was a sea filled with roses that contained hidden thorns.  Yueliang was a lone wolf, fox in this case since she’s of the female . She disliked social gatherings with a passion, she could be what you these days classify has someone with Anti Social Personality Disorder, someone who lacks compassion and has a mind filled with scientific facts, but is it her fault? She doesn’t think so, she thinks she’s like that because of the IQ she was given by her fathers, the IQ that doesn’t allow her to see the world with eyes she wants to actually see the world. The colors that others saw as bright and beautiful she saw them as dull and ugly, in her mind they were uninteresting just like the people around her.

“I guess it’s time to set my priorities straights and put music above anything else” In 2011, Yueliang, a girl that had just recently turned 13 had finally gathered the courage to put music in the center of her heart. She auditioned in countless companies such as SM, YG, JYP, Cube, Starship and Big Hit. She got into SM, Cube and Big Hit, during a week she wondered which one she should pick, after a lot of battles between her brain and heart she choose SM and that was how she met her now best friend and the only person she trusts with her whole heart Lee Taeyong.  When she entered SM she was the smallest trainee in there (147cm & 37kg) and the first person she met was Taeyong who had been playing truth or dare with his friends and his dare was giving Yueliang a piggy back ride, they argued during 5 minutes because she didn’t know him and didn’t allow him to such thing but she eventually agreed when he told her what the punishment was if he didn’t complete his dare.

“SM isn’t for me, Big Hit is” After wasting/spending two years of her life training in SM she decided that she wasn’t getting nowhere. SM wanted her as a model and an actress when she wanted to be a singer; she once more auditioned at Big Hit and was accepted once more. She trained day and night, sometimes skipping meals, classes and sleeping hours just to make something perfect but she didn’t consider that the worst part, the worst part is that she was once more alone, her only friend was at SM and she had no way to contact him because Big Hit’s CEO had taken her phone from her as it would be considered unprofessional to spend time on the phone instead of training. At the beginning she was considered one of the trainees with the least potential due to her petite body and weak singing/dancing skills, but as the time passed she quickly developed into one of the best trainees thanks to puberty, she grew 13 cm which made her less stiff and allowed her to gain weight which meant she would be able to control her voice easily. The CEO was mind blowed when he heard how much she had improved, he was so proud of her being able to endure the trainee life and school life that he had no choice but to add her to the list of the trainees debuting in the next 2-3 years.

“The future is unknown that’s what makes it interesting” From now on, she doesn’t know what’s ahead of her. Is it great success? Is it failure? Is it a mixture of both? The only thing she can do from now on is let her imagination flow with the endless options of how her future is going to be.

He was really nice and welcoming but most of all, he was always cracking up jokes just to make Yueliang feel comfortable ☆ Even though he's older than her, she likes to treat him as a younger brother. She envies him a lot because of being such a skilled dancer, singer and rapper while she can only sing and dance.

TRAINEE LIFE: 

The life of trainee is really complicated but not as complicated as one of an idol and everyone knows that. Personally, Yueliang's trainee life was not easy at all as she kept studying because she also wants to go to college to get a degree in arts (acting department). While she was on SM the majority of training she did was on dancing, acting and modeling as they had no plans of making her a singer but when she moved to Big Hit Entertainment she practiced singing, dancing, instruments where she got even better at playing the piano and acting. When she entered she wasn't extremely good at anything but as if a spell had been casted on her from day to night she improved a lot.

SCANDALS: 

✩ Accused of being trained to be a Geisha due to her babysitter/ maid being a geisha - false
