Sanghyun's charms lures his peers around him uncontrollably, and half of the time he isn't even realizing it. Whether you want to know him or not, he can't help but keep you interested. He's optimistic; likes to think positive about life's outcomes, especially his. Even if something doesn't seem to be going right, he likes to see the best in every situation, always projecting a bright smile that assures peoples' and his doubts. Ever since he was little, he has always had a pencil in his hand, doodling some kind of unicorn in space and eventually branching out his own manga characters. Well that pencil eventually lead his imaginations to compositions. Whether it was a music composition, or even creating logos with random suggested group names his peers thow at him (anything that requires lots of planning, really.), it was what he worked on his free time and is also what he's known for within his peers. People would describe Sanghyun as the teacher's pet, which doesn't give off a very good impression. He's always telling the truth, even if one of the trainees attempt to bribe him not to tell, which may or may not cause some quarrels. Because of his obedience, almost all of the supervisors trust him with their heart as he'll do exactly what they say. Though, it can get pretty difficult to order his peers around as his bashful personality doesn't exactly scream leader-like qualities. Sanghyun likes everything to be at least 98% perfect. Such as his vocal training; if he cracks his voice at one specific note, game over. He'll do the whole song over again till he's somewhat content with it, even if it means his throat will be sore the next morning, the same goes for his peers.
Sanghyun is an easy target to his peers. His gulliable personality can easily lead him to become the main victim of many, many hidden cameras and pranks. He's not sure how he's still being fooled by them, it's like his attentiveness switches off when it comes to them. He'll never forget the day he cried when one of them forgot his birthday. Being selfless is a good thing, but it can also be a con as it might begin to exploit Sanghyun. There are already incidents of people taking Sanghyun for granted and although it's a good feeling at first to do good deeds, it makes him wonder if he should really keep on giving as people begin to see him as a pushover. He has many things to say, especially if he's working in groups, but all of his ideas/words are bottled up as he offers others a chance to say in things, backing down easily while completely letting go of his words.
+ Background : Sanghyun's lifestory isn't all that different from others. His family is made up of two parents and a younger brother whom he adores so much. Sanghyun's parents both worked the same hours, yet he doesn't know why he felt closer to his mother. His mother always said he was a momma's boy, always dependent on her cooking, always dependent on her laundry, and always dependent on his mother's maternal love. That would lessen as he neared the age of 16, a company card that changed his whole entire lifestyle. Sanghyun never planned on being an idol, he did think about it once. He thought he was decent-looking enough to become one and his singing was always praised by his choir teacher for its vocal color. But to become an idol, you needed to dance, and he definitely needed to work on that. Sanghyun was scouted by an agent from JYP after a decent performance at his school festival. Though, the agent wasn't necessarily amazed by Sanghyun as he was in need for some stage confidence, he saw potential. It took a while to convince his parents to let him audition, mostly due to his father being reluctant, but they came to an agreement. At almost 16, Sanghyun auditioned and was accepted into JYP as a trainee.

+ Trainee Life : Sanghyun's trainee life was filled with lots of sweat and tears. Nights were filled with consistent yellings of him always getting the steps wrong, or he was just too stiff and awkward. He was definitely scolded more often than others, but he was thankful. The scolding only made Sanghyun more determined, to at least get a praise from his dance teacher. He would practice till dawn with a tissue plugged up his nosrils as he would frequently get nosebleeds from stress and over-working himself. And when he finally got that praise, he totally did not cry in the corner of the room. Though his first few months were mostly him distancing himself from his peers, he eventually warmed up to them and could consider them his second family.
+ How do you feel about being in a survival show? : "I think I've never been this nervous since my audition. Usually auditions would only consist of three to five judges, but a survival show has the whole country watching! Despite that, I'll make sure I work hard to debut!"
+ What do you think will make you stand out? : "Hm, my progression? The other guys are very hard-working too, don't get me wrong, but I just think I put a bit more...heart to this."
+ Where do you think you're lacking? : "My variety skills, definitely. The guys said I'm really awkward and I give people second-hand embarrassment. They also said I should practice my aegyo more!" There's a long moment of silence before he tilts his head, awkwardly pouting at the request of the PD.
+ Do you think you can beat the other contestants for a spot in the final lineup? : "It's a possibility. Every one of these guys are truly amazing in their own ways...and I'm just here, with average skills!"
+ Anything you'd like to say to the viewers? : He shifts around in his chair uneasy as he glances at each camera that's pointing to him. "Which camera do I look at- Oh!" He makes the middle camera is focal point and flashes a toothy grin. "Let's enjoy this journey together, everyone!"
