"Hello, my name is Kong Shim."
PERSONALITY TRAITS —
Positive + Kind, Intelligent, Clever, Polished, Respectful
Negative + Cautious, Gullible, Pretentious, Timid, Weak
ELABORATION —
• How may I help you? + Kong Shim is fairly well known for being a helpful student. On the first day of school, she's the one who volunteers to helps freshman's find their way around school. Although she looks like she could be mean, she's a real sweetheart, and anyone who manages to have a conversation with her, learns that. Even when she was a freshman and sophomore, she was helpful. Sometimes she feels like her duty, especially when she's tutoring someone; but, she mainly feels like it's a gift to help someone. As if her gift is to help someone. When growing up she never felt like she had a fit place. While her friends were easily joining sports teams, and clubs; she was stuck trying to find her niche. When entering high school, she finally got it. She found herself as the 'helpful' one. People came to her because she knows the school like the back of her hand. And now, that's what she's known for.
• Tutoring? Sure, I can help you. + Kong Shim is hands down the smartests student in school. Okay, well maybe, that's a bit farfetched; but, she is clearly intelligent. She's the type of person who easily gets cheated off of, or taken advantage of. She's definitely gullible. If someone asks for help on homework, she'd think they only need help on homework. Not that they're using her for answers. That's not to say that Shim isn't smart that she won't figure it out. She will, it may take her longer than a normal person; but, she'll figure it out. And in many cases she doesn't react well afterwards. She usually avoid those people. Maybe even act like they're nothing to her. She doesn't like people who use her because they think they can. There have been times that she hasn't figured things out, such as her situation with her boyfriend and ex-boyfriend. She's still yet to figured that out.
• Oh, I'm sorry, who are you again? + Kong Shim is truly well-known for being one of the many students who dislikes scholarship students. When she sees one of them, it's like a bitter taste is left in . No one's quite sure why she dislikes scholarship students so much; but, she does. She's frequently known for being rude to them, and even known for pushing them out of the way when she sees them in the hallway. It may be because she just strongly dislikes people who aren't in the same class as her but no one's quite sure. When she was dating her ex-boyfriend, he seemed to keep her under control or maybe it was after her ex-boyfriend that she decided to hate scholarship students. Again, no one's sure. And to be frank, they probably never will understand. Despite Shim's nature to be helpful, there are times when she has too much on her plate. She becomes tired, and a bit scared. She doesn't want to let anyone down, but when she can't do something she'll just crumble instead of pulling herself together. She's the type of person who relies on people. It's not that she's the typical 'cinderella complex' person but rather, she knows when she needs help. She's not afraid of asking them for help when she knows she can't complete something. Again, she's not stupid.
BACKGROUND + FAMILY LIFE —
• Her past + Kong Shim's past consisted of a bad accident when she was ten. All thanks to her father. (Maybe even her mother.) Her father, a man who was overshined by his model wife, was forced to be the stay at home father as he tried to become an architect in his free time. But, at ten years old, her father decided that he no longer wanted to be the 'stay at home father' and left Shim alone in the house. When she got hungry, she decided to heat up some food which resulted in her getting a second degree on her left palm. After that day, her father never appeared in her life and somehow her mother managed to divorce him and move Shim to Daejeon. They almost never talk about her father.
• Her present + Kong Shim's mother has practically been single for a lifetime and she knows that her mother hates it. But, does her mother really have to marry her ex-boyfriend's father? Her ex-boyfriend, otherwise known as the 'savior' of the basketball team. Son Hyunwoo. After their horrible break-up, the last thing she expected, was to become 'step-siblings' with him. Through wedding rehearsals, and moving in with each other; Hyunwoo and her have become even more awkward. Her mother knows of her relationship with Hyunwoo; which is why she's so angry with her mother for even think about marrying his father. Nevertheless, her mother is firm on going through with the marriage. Even if Shim and Hyunwoo disagree with it.
"Well, this wasn't what I was expecting."
RELATIONSHIPS —
• I'm sorry we ended up like this + Son Hyunwoo + Senior + Nice, Caring, Standoffish + After their break-up in the beginning of the year, Shim has done everything she possibly can to avoid the older. Hyunwoo, obviously, has tried to do the same thing. He believes that she doesn't love him anymore; but, actually, she does still have feelings for him just she's confused. On the other hand, Hyunwoo is still madly in love with her and wishes that the two could get back together. After she started dating her new boyfriend, he feels as if that will never happen.
• Are you sure Oppa? + Lee Minki + Senior + Odd, Harsh, Frim + If there's a reason behind her breakup with Hyunwoo, it would be Minki. She had never heard of the boy, until he appeared in front of her stating that he was the reason Hyunoo and her began dating. And that it isn't a good reason either. Apparently, Minki had made a bet that Hyunwoo couldn't get Shim to date him. The perfect little good girl. Yet he did, and in return for winning the bet, Minki gave him close to five hundred dollars (let's be real, five hundred is only twenty bucks to them). Shim wanted to get back at Hyunwoo, and hence the start of the relationship between Minki and her.
• I can't stand you. + Lee Jooheon + Sophomore + Childish, Annoying, Stupid + Shim never liked Jooheon. He was annoying, and tried too hard to gain attention. The two have been seatmates for science since freshman year, and have been stuck with each other since. Although he tries to act nice, Shim isn't having any of it. She knows who he is: a bully. Yet she can't help but want to know him better. Hence, she sets a part time during practice to try and get to know him. Like, for instances, she's learned that he truly cares for Haeyoung.
[I'm not going to include anyone else because I feel like you should develop them naturally as the team evolves.]
