PERSONALITY
for the few people that consider minah their friend, she is a dream come true. her unwavering loyalty ensures that she will always take their side on any argument. minah takes her friends' problems as her own, and will use everything in her power in order to make them happy again. being a sporadic person, minah enjoys surprises and tends to get bored easily. since her family deals with crime every day, it's only natural that she knows how to hold her own on the streets of seoul, which carries over to her surprisingly tough demeanor at seongnam. her adventurous side really shines through, however, as she isn't afraid to take risks.
her craving for adventure, however, is a double-edged sword. her impulsive personality can get her into a lot of trouble, especially when she makes hasty shopping decisions or loses a large sum of money in a race. her temper isn't really a problem, since she isn't quick to anger, but when she reaches her boiling point, she can get quite aggressive. using her family's power and contacts, she will actively find ways to fight back. when she's in an argument with someone, minah tends to use petty insults and can be very condescending. things have never really escalated to the point of a physical fight, but if they ever do, minah would be more than willing to jump into the fray.
her tough girl side doesn't mean she's all about picking fights, however. she knows how to keep a civil tongue when she has to and is only talkative to all her friends. she loves what she does and once she finds someone who shares in her passion, minah won't hesitate to open up more. always eager to explore, she's a curious soul and prone to wanderlust. this deadly butterfly flits from place to place, all for the sake of getting away.
THE STORYBOOK being the younger sibling of infamous underground street racer son minjae, as well as being the only daughter of the geondal power couple, she's lived her life on the edge. minah's family has been geondal royalty for over a century, and she knows it. she's been the target of one kidnapping attempt when she was four, but her family's people quickly got her out of that mess before things turned bloody. however, she's had lessons in gun handling as a result, not to mention she's a third degree black belt in muay thai.
her older brother, being four years her senior, was everything she looked up to and more. although her mother posed as a stay-at-home mom, she was running plenty of underground deals and would often be gone for weeks at a time. their father stayed local, but his job often got messy, and there would be times where he would go into hiding. the police showing up to their residence was almost a normal occurence, but it was nothing a little bit of money couldn't fix. their father had eyes and ears everywhere.
minjae taught her everything she needed about the streets, and once she was old enough, he started taking her to her first street races. in a male-dominated activity, she often felt ostracized as a girl, but any time somebody gave her trouble, her big brother would be there to fix the problem. although the legal driving age in south korea was eighteen, minjae surprised his baby sister with her very own lancer evolution x when she was sixteen. through hard work and dedication, minah climbed the ranks of underground street racing, hoping to be good enough for the day when she could finally face her brother to make him proud.
EFF IT, I'M GONNA WRITE MY OWN STORYBOOK living the good life in gangnam, minah is usually seen in her garage when she's not at school or on a drive. since she and her brother will be sharing the position of her parents' role in the geondal, she will be receiving more information about how their business runs once she graduates high school. however, minah's passion for racing also inspires her to run her very own auto garage empire in the future as well, so she's planning on talking to her brother about ways to expand their influence.
minah is no stranger to the party scene, as many of her connections deal with drugs and alcohol. her chaebol friends usually invite her to the more formal and publicized parties, knowing that wherever she goes, there's always protection if things ever get out of hand. she's not a flirt, but she's been known to make the occasional move or two in order to snag a couple of drinks.
HIGH SCHOOL ISN'T FOR LITTLE KIDS minah's grades are below average, with her GPA hovering anywhere from a C- to a C. surprisingly, she's decent at mathematics, but fails everywhere else. her parents want her to go to a successful business university so she has some background in running the organization, but with her current grades, it's looking highly unlikely. at school, she's seen hanging around her usual group of friends, but will spend some time with the underclassmen she's friends with. her flakiness is apparent in classes, as many kids dread being paired up with minah due to the minimal effort she puts into groupwork. minah is the president of the auto shop club at school, and is damn proud of it too. she took the title in her junior year, and surprisingly, membership went up in the past year. however, she isn't surprised, as part of that was probably because she was the first female automobile club president.

— do misun | 43 | geondal leader, "stay at home mom" | busy, blunt, ruthless, hard-working, threatening // misun is definitely the disciplinarian in the son household, and she's a force to be reckoned with. although she's away most of the time, she keeps a critical eye on her daughter's antics, often reprimanding the spirited girl on her frivolous choices and questionable spending habits. she approves of her childrens' street racing desires, however, and is proud of the fact that her children earns their money through hard work.
— son pilhyuk | 48 | geondal leader, ceo of son enterprises | boastful, cunning, hot-headed, overprotective, shrewd // pilhyuk's position as the ceo of his money laundering business makes him greedy for power. his overprotectiveness of his children shows through his influence in mostly everything they do, including racing. minah is his little princess, and although she sometimes feels suffocated with his constant checking up on her, she understands that her father is just looking out for her. her kidnapping when she was four made him paranoid, but she's beginning to prove to him that she's not a defenseless little kid anyomre.
— son minjae | 22 | faceclaim: woohyun of infinite | street racer, fourth year student at korea university | charming, vain, passionate, ambitious, observant // minjae is minah's mentor and idol. he influences plenty of her decisions, and he's happy to do so. he likes to keep an eye on his little sister, but understands that she has her own life to live too. their family never really showed physical displays of affection, so minah and minjae don't show any skinship, but both know that the bond is still there. minjae loves what he does, and is eager to learn everything about the family business. he knows what he's good at, and can listen to anyone sing praises about him all day. his sharp senses are the reason why he's so good at street racing and he can easily identify the chinks in his enemies' armor.
FRIENDS MAY OR MAY NOT BE A PAIN IN THE NECK
— bang soojin | 18 | faceclaim: choa of aoa | student at seongnam high | sarcastic, wittiy, intelligent, moody, thoughtful // one of minah's closest friends at seongnam, soojin is the more pragmatic counterpart to minah's spontaneity. soojin is old money, as her family owns daehan airlines. soojin often sponsors her friends' antics abroad and at school, she's usually the one to remind minah about upcoming homework assignments. soojin is as straight as a rainbow, and developed a crush on minah during their freshman year. however, she hides it away, because she knows her friend's ual orientation. although minah's not familiar with skinship, soojin is the one of the only people minah will tolerate being close with. surprisingly, minah is oblivious to soojin's feelings for her and she plans to keep it that way.
— kim seona | 18 | faceclaim: jiae of lovelyz | student at seongnam high | playful, charismatic, romantic, sensitive, excitable // another of minah's closest friends at seongnam high. being the fourth out of six daughters of a high-ranking government official , seona comes from a big family and knows her way around the elite of seoul. while minah and soojin are more hesitant to show their joy, seona brings the sunlight to the trio. seona is aware of soojin's feelings for minah, but is sensible enough to keep it a secret. seona doesn't understand minah's passion for racing, but she has come to a few of her events to support her friend. seona is a member of the student council and is also good friends with queen b.
— yoo seunghee | 17 | faceclaim: bona of cosmic girls | student at seongnam high | charming, modest, careless, loyal, quirky // seunghee's and minah's parents have worked together on multiple occasions, and with that, it's no stranger that seunghee and minah are familiar with each other. friends with each other since elementary school, minah views seunghee as a little sister and has gotten her friend out of more than one sticky situation. although they've grown apart since seunghee left seoul, minah's glad that her old friend is back, because they've got a lot of catching up to do.
