小狗 (Xiǎo gǒu) + By Guanyu only. It's partially a tease about his obsession with his dog and partially because he "acts like a hyperactive puppy."
Fairy King + Often used by his family and friends from home in reference both to his fanciful nature as well as the part he always loved to play in his childhood games of make believe. He usually tells people about this nickname himself when they ask about his twitter or instagram usernames (both which rought traslate to "fantasy forest"). "I am the fairy king, I rule the fairy forest!"

Korean + Passable + He studied Korean from the age of 10 on after deciding he wanted to eventually move to Korea (see timeline). He now studies at SNU so his skills have had to improve quickly in order to keep up with lessons, but he's still not fluent by any stretch. When he speaks he often uses phrases you might expect fom a young child.

Elaboration.
Boyang has had a very sheltered life, and it definitely shows. His is a curious nature, and he's constantly nosing around for new and interesting things to do, often getting himself into avoidable situations by virtue of not knowing when it's time to let something go. He's not necessarily obtuse or unaware of when he might be going too far, but he's more interested in satisfying his own impulses than recognizing when his curiosity is pushing someone else's comfort zone. He's up for just about anything, keeping an open mind both with ideas and with people, which makes it pretty easy to befriend him, but just as easy to get very upset with him, depending on the other person's views. Boyang is a big believer in not fully believing in anything, so he has the bad habit of being rather dissmissive of other people's beliefs.

However, when someone is willing to meet him half-way with his... him-ness he's a very patient person. He's open to dicussing other people's thoughts and opinions on different topics, even if his own mind is pretty firmly made up most of the time. He actually enjoys getting different perspectives on things he's familiar with, and even things he's never heard of before. If it's something new, he's all for hearing all about it. Even if he may not completely understand all of it, or forget about it completely within a few days. Boyang is very distractable, so if something doesn't catch his attention pretty much straight away he moves on from it quite quickly.

Boyang seems to never be on quite the same page as everyone else. He jumps from topic to topic in almost indecipherable ways, often losing track himself of where he was going with things. He's highly erratic, and it's impossible to really know what he'll do next. He's often off in his own world, working under his own rules, and it gets him into trouble more often than not. He doesn't exactly see himself as above others, but he ends up acting like it because of how distant he can get while in his own headspace.

Timeline

1996 - 2006

Boyang's childhood was pretty standard: two parents, no siblings, and a collection of friends that came and went over the years. He picked up bass when he was 5 and fell in love with it, but otherwise he had a very unremarkable existence.

2006 - 2010

Boyang and his parents visited Seoul when he was 10, and Boyang fell in love. He decided right then and there that he wanted to live in Seoul someday and he begged and pleaded until his parents relented and signed him up for Korean lessons. To their surprise he actually worked very hard to learn the language - he really did want to go back to Korea someday.

2010 - 2014

High school was tough for Boyang since he was trying to balance both Korean lessons, bass lessons, and actual school all at once, and he knew after the first month that he had to drop one of his extracurriculars. He chose bass, since he felt he could keep playing on his own at this point. He studied hard to get into a Korean university, and was rewarded with acceptance to SNU.

2014 - Present

Boyang has been at SNU for 2 years. He lives in a small, one-bedroom apartment with his dog Huanxiang and he couldn't be happier. He spends his days studying, walking Huanxiang, and playing bass and guitar in his spare time (the latter which he picked up at the start of university and gets lessons from a friend when they both have time).

Huanxiang was just a puppy when Boyang adopted her nearly 3 years ago. She came with him to Korea and he's very happy to have a friendly face to come home to after school each day. Honestly he's a little obessesed with her, which can be offputting for some people...

Im Habin (Best Friends) · 21 / M / SNU Student/Barista / They always try to match their schedules.

They met on their first day of university when they discovered that they had identical class schedules. Then they discovered they had nearly identical personalities and outlooks on life as well, and the rest was history. Habin and Boyang often crash at each other's places and always study together, even for classes they don't have together. Habin is one of the few people who can follow Boyang's crazy all-over-the-place logic and Boyang is quite grateful for it as he honestly has some trouble explaining things in Korean. Habin is a bit more world-weary than Boyang is, but that doesn't stop him from having a "goddamn phenomenal time" before he's "too old for it." Boyang honesty tells Habin everything, there are no secrets kept between these two.

Hwang Guanyu (China Friend!) · 20 / M / SNU Student / He's an astronomy major.

Boyang was pretty sure he was straight until Guanyu happened. The two met in the univeristy library after Guanyu gracefully tripped and faceplanted straight into Boyang's half-finished statistics paper. He embarrassedly apologized and made to leave but Boyang impulsively stopped him and asked if he spoke Chinese. the two ended up falling into a long conversation about their home towns and why they'd come to SNU instead of a Chinese univeristy (for Guanyu he'd just wanted to travel but not have to go too far from home). They traded numbers when they realized how late it was getting and Boyang immediately sent Guanyu about 20 texts. They've been chatting every since and Boyang likes to drag Guanyu out to "stop hermiting all the time".

Kobayashi Kyouto (Boyang follows Kyo around like a lost puppy tbh) · 24 / M / Struggling Artist (at least according to Habin) / He's an awkward baby

Boyang met Kyo when he gate crashed Kyo's photography meeting. He's absolute crap at photography, but he took a strong liking to the older man so he continues to crash the meetings and pester Kyo about life. He also loves to invite Kyo to take walks with him and Huanxing since the older man takes amazing pictures of her. Of course, the pictures aren't free, but Boyang is happy to help a friend - and get an awesome picture of his one true love as a bonus.

Ahn Maelin (Music Buddy) · 20 / F / SNU Student/Busker / She's majoring in music

Maelin likes to play music on the street (and yes, it's totally legal. But if you see a cop tell her so she can get out of there), which was how Boyang met her. She was playing her guitar and singing in front of his apartment building one day and he ended up sitting down and listening to her for almost 3 hours. She then demanded he give her a "damned good tip", which he laughingly did. They introduced themselves and Boyang asked if she'd possibly want to teach him some guitar basics. She was happy to agree so long as her paid her hourly, and the two ended up becoming good friends over the course of their lessons. Now they play together for fun, no money involved.

Bang Hyunjin (Eh...) · 24 / M / Nascent's PD / He's less fun the more you have to deal with him

Boyang prefers Hyunjin in small doses. He does honestly find the PD's moodiness to be amusing, but too much of his attitude does start to rub the ever-cheerful Boyang the wrong way. He's never argue with the PD over anything, but he can and will complain about the man with the rest of the group when he's not around.

Song Jiyeon (Manager) · 23 / F / Nascent's Manager / More fun than Hyunjin

Since Jiyeon does speak some Chinese, Boyang has the easiest time talking to her out of everyone in the group. He finds her enegery to be fun and far prefers working with her than Hyunjin.

Appearance

Boyang has a bad case of baby face. He's very often mistaken for being younger than he is, though his style of speech certainly doesn't help things. He stands at 178cm, making him pretty tall, but not so much that he towers over anyone. He weighs in at around 58kg (it fluctuates pretty regularly though, depending on if he's been to the gym recently or not). He does work out, but only enough to keep his weight average. During weeks he's more consistent about going to the gym (usually if Guanyu is going with him) he does develop some toning, but he loses it pretty quickly once he starts slacking again.

Style

Boyang is a sweater . Whether they're zip-ups, hoodies, or pullovers, he'll wear them without a second's hesitation. Not even if they belong to someone else. He's also a fan of caps and has a small collection that he rotates through on a daily basis. In terms of the rest of his outfit, he usually just wears jeans and a t-shirt. It should also be noted that he wears sweaters no matter what the weather is like outside.

Onstage Boyang eventually gets bullied into wearing something more "presentable" (this was a combined effort of Kyo and Guanyu). He still wears jeans (he wasn't giving those up) but he reluctantly gives up both his sweaters and his hats in favor of more stylish jackets over his same t-shirts (see photo directly above ^^)

For someone so aggressive about having ten thousand friends, Boyang doesn't actually talk to his parents very often. When people ask why he can only shrug.

Boyang is addicted to coffee (what university student isn't really?). He always has at least two cups a day (1 cream 2 sugar) and if he's hanging out with someone when a coffe urge hits he'll always buy them one if they want.

He worked as a waiter at the same bar Habin works at before joining Nacsent (assuming he gets in XD), and Habin used to teach him basic drink mixing during slow hours, so Boyang can make some beginer drinks (ie these ones).

His stage name Taj come from the Korean word "판타지", or fantasy. He was just going to use Pantaji, but Habin told him it sounded dumb so he shortened it to just Taj, which doesn't mean anything it just sounded better.

He started playing bass when he was 5 years old after seeing a street busker playing guitar (and his dad mixed the two up at the music store). He did eventually pick up guitar from his friend Maelin, but he's only been playing for a year and isn't nearly as skilled with it as he is with bass. (If he does get his backup position then I'd change this so his dad didn't screw up and he's more proficient at guitar)

"Kyo told me about it! He knows I play bass and I like to do lots of things so he told me when we hung out yesterday!"

"I love music very much so I thought why not try? Could be fun!"

"I am the best at bass, I have played for a long time." He smiled brightly. "But I know guitar too! Just not as good as bass."

hey hey, before i put up his status and stuff i'll just give u my comments so u can fix it already :')

1st. can you give me what his relationship with hyunjin and/or jiyeon would be? its kinda important since they are going to be managed by them :')
2nd. you need to add his experience w both his position and back up position in the trivia!
