MATTHEW
— MY YOUTH IS YOURS.

Without any credentials nor any exceptional talent, Noah mostly had to rely on the few interviews he had to build up any name value for himself and to get his face out there for the press and people to see. Be it witty marks or even lame jokes he eventually creates a reputation as being one of the few “genuine” acts in Hollywood, earning praises left and right from almost anyone he had worked with and becoming renown on social media amongst teenagers. He’s satisfied with the image he creates, and despite becoming more of a commercial personality rather than a true actor it’s something he had learned to live with from day 1. But once he lands a role in The Guild and stars with multiple other talented acts, his ambition is reignited and he finally delves into the reality of Hollywood—but with this comes realization and the inevitable inhumanity that comes with the industry, and in it seems in exchange for recognition he’s already sold his happiness and sanity.

APPEARANCE With a lean stature standing 6 feet tall and blessed proportions, Noah has always heard that he should have tried to make it in modeling instead—and maybe the possibility would'be been considered f it weren't for the fact that Asian models were only ever appreciated in America if they have the sharp, classic oriental look. He on the contrary was born with large eyes, tan skin, and a small face and nothing about his features read "model." It doesn't quite help that people often claim he appears almost child-like when he smiles (a compliment that's never valued when surrounded by the macho man archetype in every film you star in) and according to his first agency, acting was the only place he could "put his looks to use." All in all he's the typical pretty boy: pleasant to look at but that's as deep as it'll ever really go.
STYLE He prefers to wear more comfortable items on the daily i.e. a pair of worn out joggers and a hoodie, but in the public eye his agency's pr team insisted that he take better care for his image and appearance as a whole. So while he does wear those things when he's given the chance to (personal schedules and meetings with family, most often 3am in the morning so the press never catches sight of him), he often ends up having to wear pricey boots, pretentious coats, and the ever so frequent turtle neck to give him a more sophisticated aura he and everyone else knows he doesn't possess.

— THE BEST OF ME

STYLE he generally favors roles that fit his personality for the sake of convenience and a better understanding of his character, aka the ones who play as the comic relief in the film or show or the occasional passing pretty boy. He, unlike most of his co-stars. had never studied acting prior to his acceptance in his agency and it was almost always apparent that his abilities were of a lower caliber than them. Playing roles reminiscent of himself serve as more of an initial stepping stone, training wheels to familiarize himself with the art and develop a stronger skill set. It's nothing impressive really, which is precisely why he was amazed he managed to land a role in a high budget film like this one, but after the screening of the Guild he and his manager both mutually decide that he should broaden his choices and play characters that he's never pulled off before—characters with a depth, a story, ones that have an actual connection to reality and the struggles of what it is to really be alive.

PERSONALITY

ARCHETYPES; chaotic good
TRAITS; enthusiastic, open-minded, loyal, altruistic
              eccedentisiast, reckless, over intuitive

"Compassion hurts. When you feel connected to everything, you also feel responsible for everything. And you cannot turn away. Your destiny is bound with the destinies of others. You must either learn to carry the Universe or be crushed by it. You must grow strong enough to love the world, yet empty enough to sit down at the same table with its worst horrors."

     - Andrew Boyd.

With a naturally approachable air and a bright smile Noah never struggled socially and found it rather easy to make friends—loves it, even. His spontaneity and quirks makes his constant enthusiasm almost infectious, and though he isn’t inherently funny or witty per say, the aura he gives off his awfully inviting and everything he does is just so definitively him (he once lost his phone and when a fan found it, his photo album of artfully taken photographs of his bananas were immediately posted online and went viral). Even in his interviews he often finds himself mentioning any thought that enters his mind, as strange or out-of-topic it may be, without any restraints. (“So in The Guild you six had to travel to quite a number of different locations, is there any place you’d like to visit again?” Noah nods excitedly. “The hotel we filmed at in England made really nice waffles. I wasn’t supposed to eat them but I took one when no one was looking.” He solemnly stares into the camera. “I’m very sorry.”)

Due to this many have written him off as another generic people-pleaser that tries too hard to be different, but despite the quirky image he’s created for himself he’s quite the thinker. His observant disposition allows him to see life as a complex puzzle of compassion and mysticism; he’s curious, and he isn’t afraid to travel the extra mile to satisfy that craving. He isn’t the typical “popular guy” people assume he is, he genuinely enjoys creating emotional connections with others, to truly understand their life and feelings on a deeper level. His family and co-workers could all collectively agree that he possesses an uncanny ability to form strong bonds, and it’s one of the traits he’s most proud of.

BACKGROUND this section is actually important since this story's going to be extremely character driven rather than by plot. i'd appreciate if you fully described their childhood and family history as well as their life leading to them starring in this film. no length minimum or maximum, though i'd prefer it ranged from 2-5 solid paragraphs.

LIFESTYLE Born into a family with a lower income, Noah was never the type to live an extravagant lifestyle and much prefers smaller apartments in comparison to larger houses (and it might also partly be that he watches horror movies too often and an isolated home isn't quite comforting). He still lived with his parents until fame finally hit him after the success of The Guild, when his manager advised him to move out for the sake of his parents' privacy—he argued against the decision for months, but the flood of paparazzi and fans hovering around the complex became too overwhelming for him and his family's comfort. He then almost immediately moved into a home in Hollywood Hills that he personally believes is unnecessarily large, but it's in a high-security neighborhood and he thinks he's seen Gisele Bundchen passing by so he can't really complain.

His day is rather uneventful, really. Considering most of his time goes to attending festivals, auditions, and filming his movies, he's almost never home during the peak of his career. It's years of constant work but when he takes a year long hiatus for his depression, he adopts a German Shepherd he names Young, who eventually becomes a huge part of his life along with his friends. And during that year, his daily life mostly consisted of reading, playing video games, playing with his dog, and marathoning an extensive list of television series his manager had recommended to him (among these his favorites become anything of the superhero genre and a few teenage dramas that serve as a guilty pleasure).

— THANK YOU, FOR BEING "US"

Noah believes that to have a stable relationship, the imperative element is to have an established foundation for yourself, something he doesn't quite have yet. He does date and have the occasional "fling" but none were ever taken seriously by him, most of them ending within a few months due to the general lack of interest on his part.

PAST FLAMES
Anya Lee Cadwell — She was his very first girlfriend and they met on the set of Juniors where she played Jenette, the rival of club president Suzy. Despite her manipulative persona on the small screen he found her a joy to be around. She was a tad bit petty and a little stubborn (neither which he would ever admit in her presence) but he adamantly believed she was genuine and headstrong more than anything. Unfortunately like all teenage relationships, it ended shortly after it started through a mutual agreement that the initial butterflies just weren’t there anymore. The two are on amicable terms and spoke well of each other after the news had spread to the press, but they've never really spoken to each other since.

Paulina Kaczka — He had recognized her as a rising model in the industry, articles of her bursting success blasting all of the relevant gossip sites after she graced the covers of Vogue and ELLE within just days of her debut. She was undeniably charming: blessed with high cheekbones and a shapely figure she was a lady Noah never knew he could ever manage to seduce, but at a mutual friend’s birthday party she had flirted with him relentlessly and he had reciprocated her advances with the same amount of fervour. They had slept together that night and in his drunken stupor he had asked to court her, a mistake he would regret daily for the next six months—she was controlling and delusional, and he would’ve dumped her much earlier on if it weren’t for his agency milking their relationship for publicity sake.

Isaac Hossain — Isaac is Noah's co-star in Pourin Out, and the almost instant chemistry between them was undeniable. They had similar interests, similar experiences and a similar sense of humor, and Isaac was the first person in a while that had truly understood Noah and really knew him. Part of him really thought that maybe, maybe he's someone he could see himself being with for years into the future and the assertion rang true; they date for a good three and a half years until he finds out that isaac had been cheating on him with a new co-star in an indie film, a scandal that was discussed worldwide just minutes after he had been found leaving a hotel with a woman. He wanted to believe that they were there for other reasons, anything that was other than for , and there weren’t any red flags before that day that even mildly suggested the affair. He really did want to believe in Isaac, but it all shattered when he had confirmed the relationship and announced that the two dated for four years and were about to get married—Noah had been the homewrecker all along.

Xiuying Ma — After the tragedy that was Noah's relationship with Isaac, he doesn't date for a good two years, aside from the occasional one night stand in between film festivals and pp sessions. And then he meets xiuying, a model who was alike to a fairy with unblemished skin and glossy hair, and it only takes a few flirty glances between each other for him to ask her out. But despite how lovely and beautiful she is she was no more than a passing relationship, and they last for a mere three months until she breaks up with him through Snapchat ("what a cowardly ," Asami comments upon hearing the news) for his apparent lack of interest in her affairs.

Sasha Okonkwo — Sassy, headstrong and confident, Sasha was always rather opinionated and someone Noah thought of as admirable. She was never quite subtle when it came to her interests or needs either, and within the day they first meet they develop a friends-with-benefits relationship that admittedly affect the principal photography of the movie they were filming: he was supposed to play as her adoptive brother, and the mutual between the two was definitely problematic on their part. They end their pseudo relationship within two weeks time, but the two still keep in contact as close friends.
