Okay friends. So this weekend I went to Kcon in Toronto (May 20-22) and wow what an amazing experience it was just meeting all those different Kpop fans and being welcomed in such a comfrotable and supportive atmosphere! I was kind of apprehensive about it at first because I'm very socially awkward and I hate meeting new people but it was so easy to talk to everyone at the con so that really boosted my confidence!

Moving on to like, the main reason I'm making this blog post... So I went with my cousin and she got us tickets for the VIXX concert/fanmeet on May 20 (Friday). And holy I was blown away. I just couldn't really believe I was there that they were there. That they weren't just an image on my screen and N, Leo, Ravi, Hongbin, Ken, and Hyuk really were standing on the stage in front of me singing and dancing. It was unbelievable and I almost cried omg aha.

The fanmeet itself was absolutely amazing. Leo's voice is so soft and comforting. Like, you hear how quiet and soft it is in videos and stuff but in real life it is just... the voice of angel. There is literally no other way to describe it. It was hilarous especially when the fans screamed every time VIXX spoke but when Leo started talking people starting shushing the screaming fans and we were so silent when he talked xDD. N is an amazing dancer and I saw that with my own two eyes and I still can't believe it. He was so playful during the fanmeet (aka stealing Hongbin's water bottle and drinking from it and not giving it back and the whole, "WhhHHHhyYYy" thing I cannot). Hongbin was literally swerving into my bias list the whole time he was so cute and funny and active. I feel like you don't really see him a lot in videos and things but he shone. Talking and laughing so much - I never really realized how deep his voice was until that moment. Ken was very, very cringeworthy. He was so cheesy and kept blowing hearts towards the fan I loved it and hated it at the same time the cutie pie. Hyuk was a little . He kept making fun of his hyungs and the stupid baby tried to read one of the fan's questions in English by himself (he succeeded somehow). He really is a maknae-on-top lol. Ravi was a bit more quiet this time but he still had his moments. The stupid kid danced and sang Hotline Bling and I've never been more done in my life. Oh yeah, and Ken rapped his part in Dynamite and said sorry afterwards and they both laughed it was so cute.

Regarding Gfriend... I didn't exactly go to their fanmeet because I didn't have enough money but after the con on Saturday, my cousin and I were leaving the convention centre. We were walking towards the subway station when I spotted this middle aged Asian man. Beside him were three girls. You see, I like to people watch. So I looked at the girl directly by his side and thought, "Wow, that girl really looks like Umji." We walk a bit closer and I realize with a start that, that is indeed Gfriend's Umji. So I latch onto my cousin's arm and scream/say, "That's Gfriend." She gets really confused and by this time we've passed them so we circle back (along with another fan who was trying to talk to the manager and the rest of the girls) to get a closer look. The whole time I'm practicalaly chanting, "Oh my God that's Gfriend, holy it's Gfriend." My cousin then recognizes Yuju and screams. So they turn back towards us and I see Umji, SinB, and Yuju with one of their managers. They kind of give us a weird look because well... my cousin screamed but - I  you not - I made eye contact with Umji and she waved at me. That was so surreal and lucky (for us since I had originally wanted to stay at the con a bit longer but we decided to leave - if not we wouldn't have seen Gfriend) and we talked about it for the rest of the night. Let me just tell you this friends, Umji, Yuju, and SinB are taller than I thought and they're really pretty. Like their hair was perfect and their faces were like dolls I was just blown away.

Finally, I wasn't actually supposed to attend the last day of the con (even though the tickets we bought included the whole weekend) but I also didn't know that Day6 would be there. My cousin had just told me about Gfriend, Got7 (tickets were sold out so fast we couldn't get any I cry), and VIXX. But when we got the con and I found out Day6 would be there on Sunday I needed to see them. I love Day6's music. Like it's so inspirational to me and I love every single one of their albums and songs. So we decided to go on Sunday because the tickets weren't sold out and I was hoping they'd go on sale right before the concert (that happened to Gfriend on Saturday). Since I wasn't planning on going on Sunday we didn't really go to any of the activies and instead, roamed around Toronto. Anyways, the fanmeet started at 4 and we were sitting next to the booth selling tickets at 3 waiting for them to announce that they were going on sale. You see, originally tickets (not including hitouch, photo op, or a signed poster) are around $150. At 3 they were being sold at $70 but my mom had said that if it wasn't $50 (that's the price the Gfriend tickets were on sale for) we couldn't go since I already spent so much money. So I was practically crying from impatience and hoping that the tickets would go on sale. Finally, after coming back from the bathroom, I saw my cousin in line and she said that they were on sale for $50. So with 15 minutes before the fanmeet we rushed in to the venue with pretty good seats.

The actual fanmeet was hilarous. Jae was an amazing little , him and Young K bickered so much in English while the rest of the members just kinda stood there - highly confused. Terry He was the MC so there was a reunion of 3rd Degree. At one point they played a game and the fans practically forced Terry and Young K to be on the same team lol. Dowoon was so amazing cute the little baby looked so adorable on the drums hehe and the other members bullied Wonpil into trying to only speak English xD They also played a game with fans and I screamed because damn they were lucky all that skinship >_< They also played all of my favourite songs which was a plus and the banner they gave us had the fanchant for Letting Go so that song was a highlight. Jae was hilarous near the end because he's just, "Okay guys, it's time for our last song." And all the fans screamed no so he, "Our *coughs* 'last song' *coughs*" and did the freaking air quotations. So then afterwards while they left and we were obviously screaming for an encore they come back on and Jae is like, "Really? Oh goodness, I guess we can play one more song." What a little xDD

All in all I had an amazing time and wow this blog got really long whoops. I also bought a bunch of stuff (Seventeen's Boys Be and Love Letter albums along with a poster) partcipated in a bunch of games like Running Man (my life flashed before my eyes when the other girl reached for my name tag holy ) and Random Play Dance (in which I became really happy because another girl who was an amazing dancer said something along the lines of, "Of course she (referring to me) is good at dancing, her bias in a dancer after all (I was wearing my hand-made Seventeen shirt with Minghao on the back)." I don't know I just found that really endearing since she was also a really good dancer (shoutout to the girl in the blue shirt who killed practically every dance there was) and it made me happy and more confident aha.

Once again, what an amazing experience and I just needed to write about it somewhere where I knew other people could relate or whatever. I definitely want to go again next year and I really recommend that you guys go out and try to go/find a convention like this near you because you make a lot of friends and just leave with a ton of happy memories.
