Jessica (ft. Fabolous) - Fly

Okay. I know I'm about two days late but omg! JESSICA IS BACK! 

I never realized how much I missed her sweet voice until I heard the whole song. I've been anticipating for this ever since the announcement and Jessica's instagram posts and teasers didn't really do good for my fangirl heart. 

So, a short musical review of the song:

Stylistically, the song's arrangement is simple and laidback, but it kinda gives off the right feeling, even though there are times when I feel like there's something lacking in the instrumental. It sounds a bit plain, relative to recent K-Pop releases where there are so much going on in the instrumental track with layers and layers of synth, instruments and vocals. But the thing I admire most about this song is that it sounds very... Jessica. 

The vocals are given the most emphasis in the song--although I feel that Jessica could do more-- but it sounds sweet and carefree. Some people don't really like her vocal color and tone, being that it's really thin and at times nasally, but it gives off the right feeling to the song, like it really belongs to her. If my info are correct, Jessica was very hands-on on this album, being part of the song writing to the album jacket designs herself, and I couldn't help but admire the effort. I guess that's why I feel like it's very "Jessica".

So... yay! I dunno what else to say but I'm really happy that she's back and making music~

Sidetrack: Love Me The Same fits her voice really well tho <3

Can't wait to get hold of her album! And I'm not quite sure but they said she would release an english ver ^.^
