jooyi is a very friendly and outgoing person. she always has a friendly and kind exterior and appreciates all things in life. her gratitude for everything sometimes makes jooyi seem a little odd to others. jooyi is also a hearty person; she is very cheerful and loves making others happy too. she trusts others easily, because she believes that all people are good and that we shouldn't dislike others. jooyi is also an optimistic person; she is happy for the future and hopeful too but she knows there would be work to reach her happy future.

jooyi can be passive at times. she would often just stand by whilst something is happening to others or her self and not face the issue at hand. this ties in with another fact, that jooyi is also has a trait called escapist. she constantly wants to seek relief from uncomfortable situations and will not confront the issue head on. jooyi is very emotional and gets overwhelmed very easily, which is why she is a crybaby. she also believes that the world is equal and she has grown with that belief all throughout her life. this makes her naive.

jooyi is an only child and was born in samcheongdong, seoul. her life wasn't the best, but it wasn't the worst either. jooyi states that she has the perfect family, though her family isn't entirely perfect. her parents sometimes fought and sometimes her family missed out on their rent for the week. jooyi wasn't spoilt by her parents and instead recieved simple items to enjoy for the week. since her parents were part time volunteers for a local charity, they knew the hardships that some people have to face and wanted their daughter to understand. luckily, jooyi became appreciative of life and even vowed to help out others from a young age.

from the age of six, she learnt that she could sing. jooyi's parents helped her learn how to sing at home and she even joined the choir at her church and school. she continued to sing throughout her life and often did it to make others feel better. jooyi started busking in the early afternoons in samcheongdong, she only did it during that time because couples usually ate there, and jooyi used the money for charity. during one of her busking times, jooyi encountered a man who told her that he was a scout for woollim entertainment and wanted her to audition. she knew that woollim was a fairly successful entertainment and agreed to audition the following week. 

the audition for woollim entertainment went without a hitch and she was gratefully accepted into the training program. during the next three years, jooyi managed to keep up with her school work and graduate whilst keeping up with the hectic scedhule of a trainee. trainee life is in the trainee life section

eating portions? jooyi can eat a table full of food. although she's not a proper shikshin just yet, jooyi can stomache most foods in under an hour. she does gain weight but with the training she recieves, it's easy to tell where she burns it off. jooyi also loves to eat spicy foods
visual? jooyi was considered to be one of the visuals for lovelyz but she persisted that she wasn't as pretty as the rest of the members. 
art journal? jooyi has an art journal where she doodles flowers and nature whilst sticking pretty flowers inside of them. whenever she doodles or draws something that's not inside her journal, she'll glue it into the journal so all her drawings are in the same place. jooyi brings it everywhere.
bias? jooyi is a big big big fan of the wonder girls. if she meets one of the members, jooyi would probably cry but if she met all of them, jooyi would faint on the spot. probably.
busking? jooyi used to busk with her ukele. she can play well as a ukele player and jooyi usually draws flowers on her wooden ukele.
religion? she is a devout christian but jooyi is not against homouality and other religions as she believes in an equal world.
fanservice? jooyi loves skinship and especially with the fans! 
highnotes? jooyi is dubbed the 'princess of highnotes' as she can perfectly belt out the highnotes quite easily but the company instructed her not to do her highnotes in most performances as it could damage her voicebox.
embarrassing moments? jooyi once thought she won the lottery and so she broke down sobbing while smiling in the middle of the newsagency as everyone stared at her. she realised afterwards that the zero turned out to be a six.
 

relationships.  

sisters for life :: jung mina (21) / former lovelyz member / mina was one of the trainees that encouraged jooyi to stop crying after she was overwhelmed by the pressure put on her. jooyi looks up to mina as an older sister and was devastated by the termination of mina's contract. it was evident in jooyi's expression that she was crestfallen by her departure but mina promised that they would still be as close as sisters behind the scene.

number one fangirl :: park lami (22) / lovelyz member / outgoing, brave, impatient, bossy / jooyi loves lami's voice and is often seen performing skinship on the leader of lovelyz. jooyi often protests that lami's voice and visuals are better and that she's the perfect human being because jooyi adores lami that much. after mina left, lami was the one who was seen next to jooyi because she was the best person who could control jooyi's crying fits.

appearance. jooyi is considered as a pretty girl. standing at 171 centimetres and having a weight of 46kg; due to her not eating much due to the strict diet of idolhood, she prides on her long and slender legs. jooyi can't stand body or pubic hair and has a monthly wax so keep her skin smooth and hairless. jooyi has long, straight black hair but for lovelyz's debut, the company dyed her hair to a pretty brown colour for safe measures.
style. fashion is really just not jooyi's kind of thing. as a child, she always recieved second hand clothing from her cousin and parents as she told them that she didn't want to waste money for clothes. jooyi never really minded though and she used to steal her father's clothes to make pretty dresses or just tucks the shirts into her skinny jeans. jooyi also finds it enjoyable to diy her owns clothes, but mainly jackets whenever she has free time. like lots of free time.

stage name. june : it's her favourite month of all time and jooyi felt like it would mean more to use june instead of her name because to be frank, jooyi doesn't like her name as much as she likes the name june.
fanclub name. springfall :  it seems fitting as her stage name and her persona tie in with the season of spring. and since she was born on the first day of spring, jooyi entitled her fanclub name to be springfall because of that reason.

trainging duration. three years
trainee life. the only thing that jooyi discovered was hard was actually the regimen itself. lots of dance classes and lots of vocal training. it was stressful at times, enough to make her sob uncontrollably in the dance rooms. after monthly evaluations, it was normal to see jooyi cry after not getting kicked out that the other trainees brought tissues for her little crying issues.

why did you stay in lovelyz after mina's scandal? 
we're a like family. jooyi smiles and mina-unnie and i have a sister relationship. i don't think she would want me to leave because of her and so i'm continuing this career for her. she gives another smile and fiddled with her skirt it's what she wants me to do. mina-unnie knows that this jooyi refers to lovelyz is my dream. she wouldn't want to interfer with it either way. she's kind like that.  

how does a lack of success make you feel? 
honestly jooyi pouts with uncertainty laced in her voice it's saddening. it means that people don't enjoy our music.

what stops you from giving up? 
our fans! jooyi clasps her hands in joy if it weren't without them, we would be nothing. they helped us and supported us when times were rough. jooyi stiffened and they still continue to appreciate us. i want to return their appreciation but i never will be able to return the favour unless lovelyz continues to succeed! that's why i won't give up!

what would you do if lovelyz made it big? 
i would cry jooyi states without hesitation i would cry because of the memories that we would've made. i know we won't succeed like that jooyi snaps her fingers as an example and that's why i said that i would cry because of the memories. there is still a long road to take before getting there. jooyi put her finger to her lips in thought i would also buy all our fans special tokens or i'll even give lovelinus and springfalls all hugs and kisses! jooyi just laughs something special and from the heart.

what does lovelyz mean to you? 
lovelyz is my life, my soul, my family. jooyi nods her head at her little quote i can't imagine a life without the girls. i love them like i love my real mother and father. i love them ... it's painful to think of what happens if lovelyz disbanded.
