First of all I'm not a pro or anything, I'm just a concerned fan who can't stand her idol being bashed by a thousand of unreasonable people anymore.

                   It all started in a reality show called 'Sixteen', a 2015 girl group competition survival show created by JYP Entertainment and Mnet. Park Jihyo was criticized by a photographer for being 'fat' during their "Album Jacket Cover" mission on episode two. Jihyo felt humiliated during the photoshoot that she even tried hiding behind the other members' shadows. However, she did finish the photoshoot but if you did watch the episode completely you could see Jihyo trying so hard not to cry and instead forced herself to stand firmer and looked tough. It's been an issue since then and even JYP himself gave Jihyo an advice that if she wanted to be an idol she need to take good care of her body too.

                   The reality show ended and Im Nayeon, Yoo Jeongyeon, Hirai Momo, Minatozaki Sana, Park Jihyo, Myoui Mina, Kim Dahyun, Son Chaeyoung and Chou Tzuyu were chosen as the members of Twice. Twice successfully debuted on Octer 20, 2015 with their very first mini album "The Story Begins". They became one of the hottest rookies of 2015 and they even won the MAMA 2015 Best Female Artist Award on December 02,2015. Behind Twice's blossoming career lies a controversial issue about Jihyo. Some of the sources I've found that KNetizens kept criticizing Jihyo about her body. Even some people said Twice is an all visual group but Jihyo is the 'visual hole' of Twice. And what is their reason for calling Jihyo that? They said Jihyo is 'fat'. They can't even see Jihyo's true beauty because all they see is her body. And that makes me even disappointed in today's generation.

                   There is another source that I've found from @KPOP_TIMEOUT on Tumblr and here's what it says;

Today, JYP’s rising rookie girl group TWICE was at Gimpo Airport, heading to a schedule in China when talented main vocalist & leader Jihyo got hit by a fan. Apparently Jihyo was in the way of the fan’s TWICE bias and the fan hit Jihyo to get a better camera angle.

Jihyo was noted to have looked hurt and stated, “Please don’t hit me…I’m also a member of TWICE.”"

                   A Twice fan hit Jihyo just to have a better view of her bias. Some says the fan who hit Jihyo is either an anti-Jihyo or just a desperate fan trying to get her idol's attention but whoever he/she is, Jihyo still deserves some respect. 

                   Six months after their debut, Twice made a comeback last April 25, 2016 with their second mini-album 'Page Two'. The girls came back with new and refreshing styles. One of the members who stood out best was Park Jihyo who lookes so skinny now and her new hairstyle best suit her. People are now starting to see Jihyo, though I'm kind of disappointed they never looked at her in the past the way they look at her now. But despite of all the praise she had received, some people still call her 'fat'. One who must not be named even said 'she looked skinny now but she still need to lose some more weight to be more beautiful'. People still call her 'fat' despite of her efforts to go on a diet just to please the people and fit on the standards the industry has.

                   But do you ever wonder what's the true story behind her issue?

                   Before Sixteen, JYP Entertainment announced that they would debut a new girl group in the first half of 2014, the first female group to come out of the company since the debut of miss A in 2010. On February 27, 2014, JYP trainees Lena and Cecilia were confirmed as members of the group, while other rumored members included JYP trainees Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Jisoo (later Jihyo) and Minyoung. After Cecilia's departure, JYP trainee Sana replaced her and 6mix was about to debut when Lena left the company, effectively canceling their debut. (cr. Wikipedia) Jihyo was about to debut with Twice members Nayeon and Jeongyeon as 6mix but never happened because of the other members who left. They are even supposed to debut with fellow groups Got7 and 5live. Jihyo has been a JYP trainee since she was nine (ten in Korea) and imagine all the hardships she went through. Jihyo was very skinny since young but because of all she's been through, it's like there's a bomb that has been ticking and it finally went off. Jihyo started stress eating. Her mom said this during Sixteen, that Jihyo struggled a lot and she gained more weight in just a week. Imagine yourself in her position, she trained for a very long time and now that her opportunity to debut was so reachable yet it didn't happen. She must have felt her dreams was crushed at that time. But you see, she didnt give up she still joined Sixteen and look where she is right now.

                   Park Jihyo is a 19-year old (20 in Korean) talented girl idol who trained for ten years and finally got to debut as a Twice member. She is the leader and main vocalist of Twice. She is also best known as the 'mic' of the group. She isn't just a good leader but also a mother-like unnie to her members. People see her as 'fat' yet I only see a healthy body. People call her 'fat' yet she's a good dancer. She even dances the 'Ooh Ahh' part of their song Like Ooh Ahh's choreography better than other members. People criticize her yet she payed them all through kindness. Haters tried to bring her down yet she stood straighter. She's been underrated because of her body but I think Jihyo deserves better. I wanted the people to see how kind, beautiful and talented she is.

                   The same goes to the rest of Twice. Twice isn't only an all visual group or overrated, they are actually a very talented girl group full of very gorgeous and talented girls. They are not yet perfect but still they have a long way to go and I could already see their bright future ahead of them. So Cheer up :) Jihyo fighting! Twice fighting! Once fighting!
