Not writing in your native language.

Since I am writing the Amalgamation I noticed that I can't express my words very well.
I am from the Netherlands, so English is my second language.
But I feel like I can't describe certein things the way I want.
-Sigh-.

I've read my old story Phantom of the Fangs back, and OMG it is soo poorly written :P...
But it was my first time, so I do think I improved my writing skills to an extend.

I do think I will ask a review shop to review my new story, to see if the improvement is really there.

English isn't my first language either. Mandarin is :) Sure, go to a review shop or something. I personally didn't think that much so I didn't even bother to look for a review shop xD

English is my second language as well and although my grammar is poor, I honestly think I'm much more expressive in English. Danish is so limited. XD I'm not looking forward to translating my stories if I decide to try getting them published. XD

English is my native language (it's my only language, actually), but I am horrified when I read my things and the English is so terrible. Don't worry about it. There are some people that will forgive you for small mistakes, but if you want to improve then you can always ask a beta reader to check.
