ALBUM REVIEW | 화양연화 : YOUNG FOREVER

(look at who’s doing this i don’t even have the right to do this)

So~~~ i’ll be doing only the new songs (since we all know how cool and awesome the old songs are)

and note that they are in no order

1. I Need U (Remix)

DAMNNNNNNNNNNN THIS IS AWESOME. too much EDM effects but YAS THIS IS GONNA BE ON MY JAM LIST. plus isn’t this what they performed somewhere... MelOn awards, I guess? idk but this is AWESOME. the effect right through Jin’s solo... omg im so done this is the start for my jam list. and OMG THAT JAM BREAK this is a good mix... truly. Good Job, BigHit!!! (im writing as i hear the song so bear with me)

2. Run (Alternative Mix)

This sounds more like an enhanced version at the start...?? but the vocals are different, like completely. i can hear the difference so correctly. and... yeah this is more like an enhanced version (but my jiminie sounds good as always... sorreh i’ll continue) and am i the only one who hears TWO Jimin’s before the high-note? only me?... ok

3. Butterfly (Alternative Mix)

this is also kinda sounding like an enhanced version... maybe they re-did everything in hq? idk but this sounds just the same to me except for the boys singing.... the original had more effects but this has more singing... more like voice-enhancement and maybe some sounds were added here and there to the music (like the slap/clap at the yoonseok rap part)

4. FIRE

FIYAAAAAAH OH! omg this is so dope it makes me wanna jump to the stratosphere. THIS IS EVERYTHING I EXPECTED FROM THIS AND THE MV TOO GOSHHHHHHHH THIS IS MY HEADBANG-SONG FROM NOW and Jimin’s dance part during his solo >//////< and I’m COMPLETELY satisfied with every single part of the song and the MV. i kept dancing jimin’s dance when i was making dinner and laughing to myself lollll. but JIN’S SOLO PART I WANT MOREEEEEE T~T

5. Run (Ballad Mix)

NAMJOONIE SINGING IS THE BEST THING IN THE WORLD. i now get the reason why the never bothered to block the audio which was released: because it was a preview from a fan’s side!! and they let us take a sneak of it in a pretty unclear version. tbh i favor this more than the original version. so good to sleep to~ and Hobi’s singing too ;~; now i want Yoongi to sing and i’m done. (also could that rumored yoonmin sub-unit happen? i’d die peacefully). overall this is a very peaceful song to sleep to (at least for me)

6. Love Is Not Over (Full Length Version)

I totally did not expect a rap part for this because i believe a rap would make it less-charming.... but our boys and the staff around them are great composers and they know exactly what would be good, and this turned out exactly as them and I expected. this actually fits perfectly?? like for real. Pls give Jin bby more lines he needs it ;; he can sing now, BigHit, not before but now he can.

7. Butterfly (Prologue Mix)

this is from the Prologue Trailer~~ and i had that part cut from the trailer JUST because i wanted to hear it. NOW I GET THE FULL VERSION. 

BTS IS GRANTING ME MY (and all other ARMY’s) WISHES!!! thank you for that.

AND THIS IS DIFFERENT FROM THE ORIGINAL WITHOUT A RAP FOR WHICH I’M SO HAPPY LIKE THANK YOU BIGHIT YOU ARE THE BEST COMPOSERS this is another song to peacefully lull you to sleep!!

8. Save ME

i dont know why they stylize the title like that but nevertheless JIMIN IS STARTING THIS AND IM SMILING LIKE I DESCENDED INTO THE HEAVENS. i’d love an MV for this! this is a contrast from ‘Fire’, more like a ballad-y EDM song. and the effects. i used to actually hate effects at the start of hearing a song (Dumb Dumb, for example. god how much i despised it for the effects) but i liked this from start to end???? i don’t understand myself.. and Jimin’s English is so... deep-voiced?? (geez ‘Dope just started and i got confused like WTH WHY DOES THIS COME HEREEEE????)

9. House of Cards (Full Length Version)

ING FINALLY THE SONG I’VE BEEN WAITING FOR (i just skipped to here because it kept replaying the same songs). i always love songs with a ‘haunting’ kinda feel like i could write a ghost fic with this one song. and this has so much meaning to it, i like songs with pretty deep meanings and metaphors. AND JUNGKOOK’S PART I CRIED. LITERALLY. MY EYES WERE WELLED UP. and JIMIN OMF KILL MEEEEE T~~~T. im crying. really guys. and Jin before the last part /slow, loud clapping/ THIS IS EXACTLY WHY YOU SHOULD GIVE HIM MORE LINE BIGHIT ENTERTAINMENT!!!

10. I Need U (Ballad Mix)

as i stated above, I love it when rap-line sings without sounding like kermit the frog or like some whale’s screaming or like they’re trying too hard. I know they have the potential to sing in them, maybe not as much as the vocal line but they DO. i just descended into heaven when Namjoon started sing-rap his part. and Jimin sounds as beautiful as he ever sounds (and looks)

11. EPILOGUE: Young Forever

we all heard this and know how awesome it is right~~?? anyways, since i didn’t talk a lot about this, i will now~ i actually dunno where to start: whether to tell about the deep message of this song, about how they express themselves, about HOW GREAT NAMJOON’S PRODUCTION OF THE SONG IS or about how they sing it so passionately. well i listed everything, you’ll get the gist of it. this is a song really close to my heart, like Amber’s Beautiful’ and ‘Borders’. it might feel a bit shorter than the other sings but this touches my heart.

Overall, this album brought me to tears. really. /CLAPS SO LOUDLY THAT YOUR EARS BLEED/ I LOVE YOU BANGTANNNNNN!!!!
