I FEEL:

Longing - a haunting call, 
Far away, over the hills 
Paradise in which I can never befall.

Heartbreak - a howling cry,
Tearing at my wounded chest,
The great lord I can never defy.

Hatred - a burning flame,
Barriers, weapons, internal war,
A roaring beast rummaging untamed.

Guilt - a vast black river,
What I never did, what I should have done,
Happiness, pride, left to wither.

Sadness - a weeping woman,
Darkness, emptiness, floods of tears,
Tragedy that Fate beheld to Man.

Loneliness - a barren plain,
The thick black fog that hides me from view,
I, alone, in the pouring rain.

Darkness is shadowing my soul,
Somehow, emptiness if filling me,
Of everything that I could ever feel,

Why couldn't joy spark inside me?
