lowercase stories and no punctuation will result in many confused readers who will either bombard you with questions or jump ship. there is a story out there by james joyce that experiments with minimal punctuation. i found that hard to read because it messes with me. i like reading in my head and ill be using prosody in places so without punctuation im completely lost. it gives me anxiety also lol. still i think its interesting because without it the reader has to concentrate more.
I don't mind it THAT much, but I find that lowercase stories tend to be harder and more confusing to read. like if it's proper with capitalization and whatnot, you notice immediately where the periods are (i.e. where a sentence stops and another starts). if it's lapslock, you kind of have to do a double take when you realize, oh, right, that was a period right there, and it CAN throw me off, personally. for the most part, I use lapslock when I write casually (like right now, lol), but for stories and texts and such, I much prefer capitalization.
If it isn't there for emphasis or as a poetic technique (e.g. some psychological story where the person thinks strangely and using lower-case helps for that effect) it gives me anxiety XD - nah, but it just reflects badly on the author's talent.
