Would just like to say that only Taeyong and Jihoon are students at SIA. All my  characters are OC's as well. Also, in Korean  years Tae & Jihoon are 20, Joon is 21, and Miso is 19. The legal drinking is 19 in Korea (so they're all legal to drink.)

⟪ NICKNAMES ⟫

TAE ⋮ A shorten version of his name that is used by nearly everyone that knows him.
IDIOT YONG ⋮ Given to him by his least favorite person in the world, Jihoon, when they were fifteen because of his horrible test taking skills. Now a days, people who either despise him or dislike him, call him this in an attempt to get under his skin. Yet, it doesn't bother him as much and he only finds it as a joke.
→ PRETTY BOY #2 : A name that he hates more than anything in the world. He's considered the second most good looking street dancer of the school, behind Jihoon. He finds it insulting that he's behind the idiot he can't stand.

⟪ BIRTHPLACE ⟫ Mokpo, South Korea
⟪ HOMETOWN ⟫ Mokpo, South Korea

⟪ ETHNICITY ⟫ Korean
⟪ NATIONALITY ⟫ Korean

⟪ LANGUAGE(S) SPOKEN ⟫

Korean ⋮ fluent / his native tongue.
Japanese ⋮ semi-fluent / Mokpo has a lot of heritage from when the Japanese ruled over Korea; so, he thought it would be a good idea to try and learn something about his hometown which spawned into learning a new language.

⟪ GRADUATE IN SPRING? ⟫

→ No ⋮ After the year end preformance, Taeyong waited for days, only to be told that the person he loathed was offered a contract instead of him. Even though he felt like he never wanted to dance again, Taeyong took it upon himself to continue onto next year and act like what happened wouldn't keep him down. During summer, before the next semester, Taeyong decided (on a whim) to audition for TS entertainment and when he thought he didn't make it, a few weeks later they offered him a contract. He felt very uncomfortable afterwards; he wasn't sure what to do. But, he decided, that instead of just going with TS he'll stick out another year at school and train to be even better than he could possibly imagine.

⟪ FACE-CLAIM ⟫ P-Goon of Topp Dogg
⟪ BACK UP ⟫ A-Tom of Topp Dogg
⟪ WEIGHT, HEIGHT ⟫ 68kg & 184cm

⟪ FASHION STYLE ⟫ His style is eccentric and kind of switches between professional and punk rock depending on his mode. When he's calm and collected he likes to wear white button ups, navy pants, with a matching navy jacket, and dark black slip ons. Sometimes, if he's trying to look firm and stern, he'll wear non-prescription glasses that are way to big for his face. Most of the time, especially when there's nothing going on that requires him being professional, Taeyong will wear sickly tight leather pants, that have holes wear his knees are. A low hanging tank (that usually has band names on it like the rolling stones or the beatles) with the sides open all the way down to his waist. Along with doc martens and if he's feeling lazy he'll wear his blue (almost navy) converses. He has a few ear piercings, and a favorite seashell necklace that he wears once in a while. To cover up his hair (all the time) he wears floppy bucket hats.

⟪ APPEARANCE ⟫ Taeyong stands tall at nearly six feet in height. He has horrible posture, so you'll find him leaning against things instead of just standing. He has a firm build, but doesn't have abs (not yet). His jaw line is pruturding and something that a lot of people look at when they see him standing profile. His eyes are thin set, with wide hazel irsies that match flawlessly with his tan skin. His fingers are long, and it's probably the only thing he hates about his body besides the fact that his legs are severely flimsy. His hair color changes from time to time; but lately it's been blond with the roots being dark almost his natural auburn hair.

⟪ PERSONALITY ⟫

(+) : easy-going | dedicated | loyal | optimistic
(~) : old-fashioned | mellow | smooth
(-) : coward | cynical | ignorant | insensitive

Easy-going, that's the first thing that people notice about Taeyong. It's most likley because you can find him sleeping in random areas: such as the cafeteria tables that his best friend Joon pushes him off before running away while laughing louder than anyone else. Or maybe it's the fact that Taeyong is totally okay with changing his choreography two hours before it's time for his preformance and he acts like it's nothing more than flicking a bug of your shoulder. He's the type of guy who goes with the flow. It's not that he can handle a bunch of harsh situations, it's just that he's learned over time not to rush yourself through situations that take a lot of understanding to handle. Sometimes, because of his easy-going nature, people tend to find him too laid back; to the point that they think he's being selfish and not trying hard enough with everything that's going on with school. They think he's lazy, and the type of kid who only cares about eating and hanging out with his friends. What they don't know, is Taeyong is very dedicated to his practice. Ever since he was a child, around the age of seven, Taeyong has loved to dance. It was something he found as his pathway of life. Like how some kids automatically know they want to be doctors or play soccer, Taeyong decided dancing was his path...his only path. He doesn't like to show-off, and because of that he doesn't take part in the afternoon dance competitions or the night time practices. He does his own thing, and tries to keep to himself when it comes to dance. It's not that he's nervous about showing people his technique or anything, it's just that he doesn't feel comfortable working with others when it comes to practice. When some people finally figure that out, they come to think he's stuck-up, or even worse...that he's a stonecold jerk like his enemie Jihoon. Yet, for the people who try hard enough to get to know him, they come to find out that Taeyong is actually a really good friend. He's the type of friend to drop everything to help another. He'll even go as far as lying for someone he truly cares for; like the time he told Joon's mom and dad that he was at his house rather than his girlfriends because he didn't want Joon to get in deep like he usually does. Unfortunetaly, many people have a screwed mindset when it comes to Taeyong. They stereotype him to be some rough and gruff jerk that beats up people who look at him the wrong way. Nonetheless, even with people stereotyping him, Taeyong always looks at the positive side of life. His father always told him that no matter what happens in life, you have to remember that there's a bright light at the end of the tunnel. That's how is mindset has always been and, hopefully, always will be.

Taeyong was raised by a father who was a lot older than the normal father. Many people mistaked him to be his grandfather rather than his father, and because of that he has a mindset of a sixty-year-old. He's the type of guy who opens car doors for girls, take her out to a nice dinner, pay the bill with a good sum of money for a tip, and to never touch a lady unless she agrees. He was taught to think through his problems and not jump the gun like an idiot. He was also taught to find a normal job after going to college, to become a lawyer, to be a type of man who could financial support his wife and kids. Sadly, that just wasn't for him, and his father and him used to get in a lot of fights because of it. After years of fighting with his dad, Taeyong just doesn't have it in him to get mad. He's actually very mellow. He's not the guy who walks around reading books and writing poetry; but he is the guy who listens intently to his music while lounging on some stairs with a serious look on his face. Or he'll fall asleep in the midst of his history class. After dancing for an hour or so, he'll just sit on the floor and stare out to the middle of nowhere. During conversations, he won't interrupt others, he'll only sit and listen intently because he's a good listener. He's almost absentminded in the aspect. When anyone asks him a question after a long conversation, he'll usually just continue looking around or starring into space until someone either slaps him on the shoulder or gets up and leaves. Though, it's not like he's doing it on purpose, it just kind of happens. But, to make up for it, he's actually quiet good with getting people to fogive him. He'll talk effortlessly about how he was just dazing off, he'll do his stupid wink, and people will just fall right into it. He uses that same method to flirt with girls. He at flirting though. He's the typical nice guy out of a drama. He does everything the girl would want without asking anything in return, only to have the girl friendzone him and act like he's was nothing more than just a helper when it came to their romance. It's the same situation that happened between him, and Joon's girlfriend. Taeyong first liked her, introduced her to Joon, she fell for Joon, and he acted like it didn't bother him even though deep down inside it did.

"Oh, you like Joon?" Shifts from one foot to the other. "T-that's, okay. Yeah, no, that's, that's great!"

Which brings us to his downsides, Taeyong is a big fat coward. In that type of situation he should confess his attraction to the girl; but, instead he'll just go along with it and act like he never actually had feelings for her. With the Joon situation, he even went as far as helping them get together. This same thing can be said with his dancing. If he's unsure of his dancing, and thinks someone else is better: he'll drop out of the competetion because he's fearful of losing. He's not a sore loser, he just doesn't like being embarssed over something he finds to be his only path in life. He'll let others tramble over him before he dares to embarass himself. A mix of this, and what happened with Jihoon leads him to have a pretty awful outlook on other dancers. He believes they all are only motivated by their self-interest and that they could care less about others. He doesn't trust other dancers because of it, and actually can't stand other dancers as a whole. It's not even just dancers, it's pretty much anyone who has anything to do with the fame industry. He finds them to be untrustworthy and he just has a negative outlook when it comes to them. A lot of it is thanks to Jihoon, who left a bitter taste in his mouth after an incident in high school. As his nickname presents, Taeyong is a bit of an idiot. He's never done too well in school: he failed his math classes all through high school, and he's not to bright at identifying certain situations. Such as when he should be careful around someone who's sensitive about their respective talent. Which is why he may come off as insensitive to another's feelings. It's never on purpose, he just at communication to the point that he can hurt someones feelings. He's blunt, and outspoken about things; most of the time he could care less about how people will feel in the end...until he sees what happens after he hears what they say. Although, he won't apologize because he feels like he didn't do anything drastically wrong. He says that his life is spent around wondering when to or when not to say an comment or an move; because, he doesn't know how people will react when he does so. He knows he can be himself around Joon; because, Joon is his best friend, but around people at SIA or in public...he's not so sure. Which, kind of makes him awkward. He's actually very awkward, especially when he doesn't know what to say, or when he trips over his own feet. When he's around the opposite gender he sometimes stutters. All in all Taeyong is a pretty private guy who can be a bit of an sometimes...most of the time.

⟪ BACKGROUND ⟫

Seo Taeyong was born in early winter of the year 1996, on December 15th nearing ten at night. His biological mother was only twenty-eight at the time, and his father was forty; to top it all off, his father and mother weren't married. Instead, his father cheated on his wife with Taeyong's mother who happend to be a penpal who came back from traveling the world. Needless to say, Taeyong was born as a nusiance to his families life. Growing up, was interesting. His biological mother was forced to live in a totally different part of South Korea (Daegu to be exact) while Taeyong was stuck living with his father and his father's actual family. Including (but not limited to) his father's wife who claimed Taeyong as her actual son and would erase anything having to do with Taeyong's actual mother, his father's oldest son, his father's daughter, and his father's youngest son. All of whom (besides his father's wife) disliked Taeyong. They precieved Taeyong to be the object that ruined their parents real relationship; which, turned into a business relationship instead. His brothers and sister were a lot older than him (the youngest only being ten when Taeyong was born) which meant he lived in his siblings shadows while going through school.

Was he to be the perfect student like his older half-brother? Was he going to be a great sport player like his older half-sister? Or was he going to be the best student council president like his second older half-brother? It turned out that Taeyong happened to be the only Seo child to be academically challenged and creatively amped. He took up the arts (specifically dancing) which ruined his relationship with his father. His father and him fought for days, even weeks, on end. If his father screamed, he screamed louder. If his father slapped, he slapped harder. If his father kicked, he kicked harder. Their relationship finally came to a stand still (pretty much an end) when Taeyong's father decided to take him off the family registry, cutting all ties to them being related.

“You’re kicking me out?” Taeyong could practically feel the tears forming in his eyes as he stares up at the man he once called dad. The man who only glares back at him.

"I'm doing what's best. You're not my son anymore," The man pauses to let out a breath of air before grabbing forcefully onto his wife who was clinging onto Taeyong for dear life. "Get out, and don't even think about coming back unless you've give up on this ignorant and childish dream."

His wife grabs onto his arm and shakes it gently, "Don't do this honey, please! He's our son!"

"No! He's no longer our son!" From inside his pocket, Taeyong's father grabs a crumbled piece of paper and throws it at him. It only takes a minute for Taeyong to register what is witten on the page. He truly is no longer his father's son. "Get out!" His father's screams, and the paper in his hands, is enough for Taeyong to grab his back pack and leave. His step-mother calling after him with cries and yells of her own.

Taeyong was kicked out of the mansion he called home when he was seventeen, with only his school supplies and a ty lunch prepared by the woman who dared to call herself that man's wife. He had no resources, he didn't know where to go. For the first few days he slept at a shelter, and pretended to go to school like nothing was wrong. He even managed to fool his best friend. Until one day, he just broke down. He got a bill from the school, saying his payment for the winter semester has been declined. Meaning his father even stopped paying for his schooling. The bill was more than anything Taeyong had, and there was no way in hell he could afford it.  He even tried calling his father about it but he only told him that he wouldn't pay for someone elses bill if they're not related. He called his step-mother soon after who said she'd try to figure out a way to pay for it; but, he might have to take a leave from school while she does. Taeyong was beyond devestate. Even though he hated school, it was the only place he felt comfotable in a time where everything but school, wasn't. Joon found him that day, leaning on the stairwell railing crying like never before. At first Joon thought it was a joke, but then he learned otherwise.

"Did Song Jihyo get married?" Joon jokes as he slaps Taeyong on the back; a few chuckles leave his mouth. Taeyong doesn't respond and only wipes away the tears that slipped and tried to shove the papers away in his pants pocket. "Oh? What's this?" Joon asks with a laugh as he grabs a hold of the papers before Taeyong can stop him.

"Joon give it back." Taeyong commands as he tries to grab for it.

Joon laughs, "Why should I? Is it a love letter to the girl you like?" Joon jumps a step higher and begins to read the information; his expression forming into one of worry. "What the hell?" He glances back at Taeyong, still worried. "Did your parents lose their money or something?" Taeyong, barely managing to hold everything, shakes his head. Joon takes a step down and places a hand on Taeyong's shoulder. "Taeyong, what's wrong? You've been acting strange for days, now this? I'm your best friend, you can tell me."

And so Taeyong did. He told Joon everything, and he swears the two looked like idiots as they cried and blubbered like babies on the stairwell of their school. Thankfully for him, Joon is a great guy, who called his own parents and managed to come to an agreement. Taeyong was allowed to live with Joon, and Joon's parents will cover his school tution, as long as he keeps his grades above a 3.0 and didn't influence Joon to do anything brash. He had never felt more thankful in his life, as he got to live normally once again. Though, Joon was mad at him for weeks for not telling him sooner. He managed to graduate with a 3.15 and on grad night he, Joon, and a reluctant Dayoon (Joon's girlfriend) went to Taeyong's old house where they tp'd the whole entire front yard, and stuck forks all over the grass while Joon took a piss on the front door. (It didn't take his father long to learn that Taeyong was the one to do it. The idiot flipped off the security cameras before mooning them as well.)

The few months after school ended, Taeyong got a job to be the assistant manager at a record store in downtown. After working for a while, he managed to accumulate enough money to get his own apartment; and finally moved out of Joon's house. Despite whines from Joon saying that he wanted Tae to stay because he felt like they were more "connected" that way. Joon's parents threw a moving out party, before he did go to to the crappy (super small) apartment. One day, at the shop, Taeyong decided to dance around because it had been a while since he last freestyled (seeing as he was too busy trying to get good grades, and getting money to move). Luckily, a man by the name of Huan Yi Tian walked in, and watched him preform effortlessly. Taeyong was flustered after his preformance when he realized someone was watching (blushing like a girl on her first date kind of thing). The man quickly gave him a business card and told Taeyong to come to an audition for SIA on the nearest Friday.

For the hell of it, Taeyong went (not telling anyone) and a few days later he was informed he got in. He had never been so thrilled in his life. That night he drove to Joon's flat in downtown Gangnam (he moved out from his parents not long after Taeyong; once he got off the wait list for Seoul University) and told him everything. They were like a bunch of girls during a sleepover as they drank redbull and stayed up all night talking about how great it would be to finally have his dancing career and how he would shove it in his dads' face once he debuts and becomes famous. A few weeks later, Taeyong (with the help of Joon, and Dayoon) moved to Seoul and started his life at SIA; everything was great until he stumbled into that jerk, Jihoon, the same jerk from his high school life. Things were not going to be as great as he precieved them to be.

⟪ FAMILY ⟫

Father, Seo Hyunjoong ⋮ 59 ⋮ international sales repstrict, stern, hostile ⋮ In the very beginning, Taeyong and Hyunjoong were like any father and son. They were family, they were best friends: they loved each other. But after what happened, happened their relationship tore in a thousand pieces. They haven't talked in nearly two years. And even though Taeyong says his life is fine, he wishes his father was still in his life. But, he can't give up dancing; even if his father promises to send him to college and give him a good life, Taeyong can't do it. Hyunjoong believes he'll never let Taeyong back on the family registry until he's lying n his death bed and feels bad about it. Which means, it's likley to never happen and Taeyong will probably be known as an orphan to the law for life.
Step-Mother, Seo Hyeson ⋮ 57 ⋮ stay at home momcaring, motherly, loving ⋮ As a child, Taeyong never understood why Hyeson was so nice to him. But as time grew tough between his father and him; it was she who comfoted him and tried to make his father forgive him. If anything, Hyeson is more of a mother than his actual mom. They meet up once a month where they go on dinner dates. Taeyong calls her "Miss Hyeson the Beautiful" and they talk about everything they've missed in each other's lives over the past couple of weeks. She sends him lunchboxes of food at the beginning of every week, and sneakily tries to make it to his preformances.
Mother, Kang Chaeyoung ⋮ 47 ⋮ unknownquiet, assertive, scary ⋮ Taeyong doesn't really have a relationship with his biological mother besides a few calls as a child and a one time meeting when he was ten. From all of that, he's come to know that the woman can be scary and isn't the type of person who should be a mother. He's tried to contact her later in life around seventeen but when she answerd, she was snappy and acted like she didn't want to talk to him. The last thing he ever told her is that she's a horrible mother, and that his step-mother is a hell of a lot better. Before hanging up he could hear her sob. Sometimes her sobbing haunts him.
Older Half-Brother, Seo Wooyoung ⋮ 35 ⋮ prosecuterobnoxious, loud-mouth, rude ⋮ Taeyong's relationship with his eldest brother is almost like his father. Wooyoung is so much like Hyungjoong that he even decided to drop Taeyoung as a brother. He doesn't even feel guilty about it. Though, to be quiet honest, Taeyong didn't really care. It's not like he was really close to him anyways. Suprisingly though, when graduating from his prestigious high school, Taeyong spotted Wooyoung in the far back looking non to happy next to his mother. When asking why he came, he said he was forced but his mother says otherwise.
Half-Sister, Seo Woojoo : 33 : professional golfer : helpful, arrogant, unloyal : Woojoo was the least intimidating of all of the siblings; but, that was mainly because she was to busy having to deal with her sports career as a golfer. From the times they did talk, she wasn't all that great. She talked mainly about herself, and looked down on Taeyong; which, maybe the reason he doesn't mind not having to talk to her anymore. Out of all his siblings, she's the only one that he hasn't seen (TV doesn't count) but he did call her on her birthday and she promised to call him on his. Even though it sounded like a nusiance to her.
→ Half-Brother, Seo Woohee : 29 : freelance journalist : selfish, blunt, intelligent : Woohee is probably the only sibling that still contacts Taeyong once in a while; not because he wants to, but because he feels obligated to do so as the brother who's closer in age. They don't really get along; but, once in a while they'll go out for a drink or some food where Wooyoung will update Taeyong about their dad. Though, the updates are usually antagonizing, and Woohee tries to convince Taeyong to quit dancing and to go back home. But, Taeyong never agrees and the two end up fighting.

⟪ FRIENDS ⟫

Best Friend Forever | Boyfriend, Lee Joonhee ⋮ 20 ⋮ college studentabsentminded, friendly, frugal ⋮ Taeyong and Joon have been best friends since they were in diapers. Joon is more of a brother then any of his actual brothers, sadly. They've laughed, they've cried, and they've had their fair share of embarassing moments. They've gone through their ups, and their downs; but, nothing wll seperate these two: not even a girl. Cause' you know, bros before educated women! The gifs up top best pictures Joon and Taeyong with Joon as Lee Jongsuk and Taeyong as Kim Wonbin. They're pratically a couple (bromance) and sometimes Dayoon is jealous of their relationship.
Best Friend's Girlfriend | Good Friend, Jang Dayoon ⋮ 19 ⋮ college studentsmart, kind, shy ⋮ Taeyong met Dayoon first. He fell for her first. Yet she's been in an relationship with Joon since they were all around the age of sixteen...go figure. Despite that, the two have been good friends and she's never exactly found out that Taeyong once had a crush on her. He's come to love her like a sister, and she looks at him like a brother. Even though his feelings relapse every once in a while, they're relationship is pretty much a friend-friend thing. Dayoon's relationship with Joon is so messy, they're like a married couple who gets in fights and always have to sit down to talk their problems out. Nevertheless, no matter how much they fight, the two are insperable and meant to be; even Taeyong knows that.

⟪ WHAT'S YOUR DREAM, KID? ⟫

Taeyong rubs the back of his neck with his dark fingernail colored hands, a sheepish grin plastered on his pink lips. “To be honest, I haven’t really thought about it,” He shrugs his shoulders and stretches his legs out in front of him before turning his attention back toward the interviewer. “I’d like to be a soloist; but, I see my talents working better with a group.” There’s a split second where he debates it in his head before he begins nodding. “Yeah, I’d rather be in a group and then later on become a soloist. You know? Like how some singers end up being actors, like Rain sunbae.” For the last time Taeyong nods his head, a smile now gracing his lips. “I want to be in a group and then debut as a soloist! That’s my dream, also…” Taeyong trails off, his mind in the distance before something seems to snap him back to reality. “It’d be nice to talk to my dad again; but, he’s not really the type of guy to drop his two-year-long battle so…getting into a group like Block B and then debuting as a soloist is good enough.” A long boisterous sigh leaves his mouth—as he begins thinking about his dad...again.

⟪ PERSONALITY ⟫

(+) : Popular, Perfectionist, Neat, Intelligent

(-) : Callous, Calculating, Disloyal, Dishonest

The quote unquote Pretty Boy #1 of the dancers in school, and the only person in the world that Taeyong claims to hate: Moon Jihoon. Taken from a non-bias perspective, Jihoon is a pretty popular guy. The one that people stare at when walking down the halls because not only is he super handsome, but he’s the greatest street dancer the school has to offer. Like, damn. What he’s strived for most in his life, is to be the center of attention. At school he is the center of attention, which is why he adores going every day. It’s also to rub into Taeyong’s face; because, not only is he considered the number one best looking dancer, but he’s also the best dancer. And he knows it stings Taeyong more, to come directly behind him. He just loves that. Jihoon mastered his dancing at age ten, he was dubbed the “Karate Kick Kid” because of how fast he could do his flips, and specifically when his legs would slice the air as if he was doing a Karate move. This is all do to the fact that Jihoon is a spot-on perfectionist. It’s not funny at all, Jihoon has always been hard on himself, trying to do better and if he doesn’t do better he degrades himself. What people believe is that Jihoon has natural talent and that’s how he got where he is; but, in actuality he worked real hard to get where he is. It’s not to say that he doesn’t have natural talent; because, he does. But if comparing Taeyong to Jihoon, Taeyong has more natural ability than Jihoon who strives on technique and mechanics instead of the intensity of the dance. You could say that’s why Jihoon’s jealous of Taeyong—because Taeyong was and still is a natural street dancer.

Just like Taeyong, Jihoon grew up in a wealthy family, a family that taught him to have morals and standards. Specifically, to be smart, organized, cleanly, and evasive. Jihoon is very smart, and looks down on those who aren’t. During his high school days (the same high school Taeyong went to) Jihoon was the top student of his class—having a 5.0 due to all the AP and IB classes he was taking. On the outside he put on a façade that ‘everything was great’. On the inside he was stressed beyond belief. He was juggling his school life, harsh friendships, and his passion to become a dancer. Unlike Taeyong, Jihoon made an agreement with his parents—that he’ll pursue college and get a degree in international business while he continues with dancing. If dancing doesn’t pan out, then he’ll do whatever his parents want him to do with his business degree. This also may be a reason he pushes himself harder than anyone else. He has a schedule for himself (probably because he’s too organized) and if he’s ever to fall off the schedule then he’ll probably break into a million pieces. All his life he’s been organized, cleanly, and neat; if something were to make that end, he wouldn’t know what to do. It’s almost like he has to have his life planned out.

What many people fail to notice about Jihoon (mainly because of his façade) is he’s actually a cold-blooded jerk. He’s heartless, he doesn’t mind throwing people away to get to where he wants to go. He’ll step on people’s toes, and hearts to be the best. He could care less about pitying people, mainly because he’s pitiless. If someone says they need to be the lead dancer of the choreography to stay in school, Jihoon would scoff and say how if they truly deserved it, they would’ve gotten it—before slamming his shoulder into theirs and walking off like it’s no big deal. He’s insensitive (more so than Taeyong) but he also knows when to be insensitive and when not to be. He knows that he should be on the good side of some people, and other’s it doesn’t really matter. He’s a -up, and he’s manipulative. He’s a user to, just like how he used Taeyong and Joon before throwing them away like they were nothing more than trashy dolls that got to old and weren’t good enough for him. Perfidious is the one thing that Taeyong would call him, after the so called ‘using’ Jihoon didn’t even look at Taeyong and Joon twice, let alone talk to them. He used all of their weaknesses against them, and threw away all of their trust. As if all the trust they put in him, didn’t even matter when it was all said and done. At the same time, he’s a liar. He lied to get on the good side of Taeyong and Joon, and in the end—they found out about the true Jihoon. The actual Jihoon behind the façade he uses. The Jihoon who’s an all around .

⟪ WHY ARE THEY RIVALS? ⟫

It all started back in high school. Taeyong and Joon were fifteen when they first met Jihoon, the three of them became immediate friends. Despite Taeyong and Joon already being friends, Jihoon fit right in. Together, they were the three musketeers (they even dressed up as so on Halloween). Jihoon was like the leader, Taeyong was the right hand, and Joon was the baby (despite being the oldest out of all three of them) who followed along with whatever they did. At first, the three were only friends and that was it. But when Jihoon learned that Taeyong could dance, and Joon could almost be someone who could sell a brand—he began using them. He’d force Joon to sell Jihoon and Taeyong as a duo, and to have him book them gigs around Mokpo. It was kind of cool at first, especially for Taeyong who had never done anything close to a gig, and for Joon he found it interesting to be a marketer (which later he goes onto college to be). But Jihoon’s true colors began to show as he started forcing the two to do more and more. It turned from something fun to something more like a chore. For Taeyong, he never wanted dancing to be a job, he wanted it to stay as something he would do only for fun; if ever he didn’t find it fun he’d quit. As for Joon, he just didn’t enjoy being treated like a worker (especially one that didn’t get paid). Yet, the two stuck through it because Jihoon was still their friend, they were still the three musketeers.

One night it changed. Over the summer before junior year, Joon had to go to summer camp as his parents toured the world, leaving Taeyong and Jihoon. Jihoon, somehow and Taeyong’s still not sure how, got the both of them invited to a college party at some guy’s torn down dorm. This was the first party Taeyong had ever been to, and the first time he ever tasted his first sip of alcohol. Two hours into the ragging party of college students and two sixteen year olds (Taeyong and Jihoon were piss drunk out of their minds). Somehow, the two made their way to an empty part of the building filled with drunk and crazy college students. Taeyong couldn’t stop giggling (for some reason when he’s drunk he giggles) and Jihoon was holding tightly onto Taeyong’s collar increasingly tightening his hold of it. The two end up tripping over a rug stretched out on the floor and fall to the ground next to one another—Taeyong still giggling. Needless to say, something big happens. Jihoon starts rambling like an idiot, and reveals things he probably shouldn’t say to a guy who can still comprehend a situation despite being drunk.

“I’m gay,” Jihoon pauses as Taeyong’s giggles slowly diminish. “Like, I’m really gay. Beyond just gay, super gay.” There’s a split second where Taeyong just lies there watching as Jihoon tries to thinking something out through his brain before the older boy turns to look at him to. “And I have a crush on you.”

Taeyong opens his mouth to say something before closing it once more, “I’m not gay.” Is all he can blubber when he finally understands the situation and can pull his words together to form a sentence.

Jihoon nods as he shifts himself onto his stomach and throws his arm around Taeyong’s chest, pushing his head into the boy’s shoulder. “I know dude, you like Dayoon.” By now Taeyong has sobered up, and was just lying on his back awkwardly as Jihoon tried to cuddle with him. “You can’t tell anyone I’m gay.”

“I won’t.” Taeyong promises; and he never went back on it.

The start of the new school year. After what happened at the party happened, Jihoon began distancing himself from Taeyong despite Taeyong being okay with the fact that Jihoon is gay. Sure, it was a bit awkward for him to know that one of his best friends had a crush on him; but, he could deal with it. Besides, crushes usually end after a few months. (Though, Taeyong didn’t know that Jihoon had liked him for nearly a year.) By the time Joon came back from summer camp and the three started school again, Jihoon and Taeyong hadn’t talked at all. Taeyong just thought it was a faze, Joon had no clue (still doesn’t) as to what might’ve happened between the two. But things really changed when Joon set up a place for the two to practice their dancing. Taeyong and Joon got to the studio first, and being the idiot he can be, Joon started running around the room like a child. Jihoon got there about an hour late, a smug look on his face when he said so. Joon decided to confront him about it (since the boy had been showing up late to a lot of things) while Taeyong hung back because he knew why. Jihoon took it a bit too far after that: when Joon got a bit close, Jihoon swung his fist and hit Joon square in the face. Sending the older boy to the ground with a yelp. Taeyong barely knew what was happening as he saw a bleeding Joon lying on the floor, with Jihoon kneeling a top him—swinging more punches. Finally, got himself together and tackled Jihoon to the floor and off of Joon who was practically out of it.

You don’t hurt Joon. Taeyong has always been somewhat of a protector to Joon who’s a bit of an airhead and doesn’t understand people very well (he still doesn’t). So, seeing Jihoon physically hurting him, sent Taeyong over the edge. He swore to God and back as he pushed the boy to the floor and kicked him in the ribs. By the end, two boys were beaten up, and one was a fuming mess. After a while, the three seemed to come back to their senses as they got up—Jihoon holding onto his ribs, as Joon cowered behind Taeyong while trying to wipe the blood from his mangled face. The three of them knew it, this was the end of their friendship.

“Get out, and never show your face again.” Taeyong mutters as he wraps an arm around Joon’s waist.

Jihoon scoffs, “Like I’d want to hang around you idiots.”

As the hurt boy begins to walk toward the door, Taeyong says one last thing. Something Jihoon should be thankful for, and something that confuses Joon. “I won’t reveal your secret.” Taeyong only hears Jihoon’s chuckles after that.

“Piss off.”

After that dreadful day, things changed. Even though their friendship was over, and they all knew it, Jihoon didn’t stop himself from trying to bully Taeyong and Joon. Though, after a few times of bullying Joon, Jihoon stopped because he knew Taeyong would go after him if he actually hurt him—physically or emotionally. From that day forward, Jihoon revealed his true colors: he's a cold-hearted .

⟪ INTERACTIONS ⟫

The few interactions the two have, aren’t usually that great. Most of the time, it’s brooding. Glaring at each other from across the room, hoping the other will disappear from sight—and when they don’t, they just frown deeper. Even though Taeyong is fearful of competitions, he doesn’t mind competing with Jihoon, trying to see who’s better—though know one’s ever sure who is in the end. They’re talent is so close and both are pretty great. If they talk, which is very rare, you’ll find Jihoon sending quiet insults toward Taeyong while Taeyong flat out says he’s a jerk and he really can’t stand him. If the discussion spawns to the past, specifically anything having to do with Jihoon’s secret and Jihoon throwing insults at Joon—they’ll fight, physically. Both throwing punches at each other in a rage of anger. The only way they’ll stop is either if they’re separated from one another or if one thinks they beat up the other enough. Needless to say, their interactions are never good.

⟪ LOVE INTEREST ⟫

NAME:
Song Miso       FACE CLAIM: Jiae of Lovelyz
AGE: 18                   OCCUPATION: Waitress/College Student

⟪BACKGROUND/FACTS ⟫

- grew up in Daegu.
- dreams to one day own a resturant.
- her parents are farmers.
- her whole life revolves around watching dramas.

⟪ PERSONALITY ⟫

Song Miso was born on the twelfth of July in 1997, to two caring parents. She grew up very secluded to the outsight world: really, all she knew was her family, and the farm she grew up on. Her home is pretty far from town, so from elementary school up to her last year of middle school she was home-schooled. Around the time she was to go to high school, Miso felt something was off: all of her TV shows and dramas portrayed high schoolers in an actual school not at their house. Somehow, in some way, she managed to convince her parents to let her go to a real brick and mortar school and to stay with a close family friend. Her life was never the same after that. High school, going to school with a bunch of kids her age, was difficult. And Miso was different, extremely different. Being home-schooled meant she was pretty sheltered and gentle like a flower. She didn’t know how to handle all the things she was seeing in front of her. Such as the bullying, and overwhelming stress that high school brings to you. That’s not to say she didn’t fit in; because, for the most part, she did.

She found friends easily with her bright personality and cute features. Her friends found her funny; not because she jokes—but because she’s a clumsy fool. Wherever she goes she causes trouble. Whether it’s accidentally breaking a science tube, or knocking into the headmaster and causing her latte to spill all over her white satin dress—Miso is definitely amusing. But, what her friends like most about her—what people think is her best quality—is she’s faithful to those she loves. She might be delicate; but, she knows how to stand up for herself and for others she cares for. If one of her friends are wrongfully in trouble; she’ll stand up for them—yes, she may get embarrassed easily, but it won’t stop her.

After high school was over, Miso decided to stick it out in the city and continue living with her family friend who sort of becomes a mother figure to her over time. She got into a community college nearby (despite her friends all going to top universities) and began working as a waitress at a small dinner where in her spare time she watches dramas and swoons about her ‘white knight’ (even though she’s never dated). Having been raised a certain way, Miso could come off awkward and elusive to the dinner goers and even her own boss. For example, she may take a customer’s order and then talk animatedly for a good five minutes about how great the latest episode of “Jang Bo Ri is Here!” Then, to top it all off, she’ll forget all about their order and disappear to the back to continue watching said episode.

Another example, would be her clumsiness taking a step in and causing a severely awkward situation where she spills a milkshake over a man’s pants and being the innocent little girl she is, she begins wiping at the man’s pants with a tissue. Then she won’t understand why the man commands her to stop, and gets all mad—so then she gets mad and yells at him asking why he’s being so mean to her when she was just trying to help. In that sense, she can be a bit difficult to work with or argue with. She was always taught to have her own opinion and not to let other’s control her. All in all, Miso is a one of a kind person that most people would call an absolute ditz.

⟪ RELATIONSHIP ⟫ IT'S COMPLICATED

Song Miso and Seo Taeyong met once via a job positing. Taeyong, a few days before he graduated high school (and was in deep need of cash) decided to make a post online that said he’d be “The Perfect Boyfriend” kind of like a rent-a-boyfriend for a week or week-end. He wasn’t really expecting any replies, and the replies he did get were from some weirdos. And mainly older woman who were looking for a good time. Miso, at that time, had just turned eighteen: she had never had her first kiss, never had a boyfriend, and only watched drama’s where she increasingly wanted a relationship like them. Maybe not the whole ist part, but the amazing boyfriend part and fantasy dates was what she wanted. She wanted to be swept off her feet, and be treated like a Princess.

So one day after school she decided to go online and just (for the hell of it) look up boyfriends-for-rent, where she stumbled upon Taeyong’s posting. From the picture of him, she could tell he was defeintely her type and swoon worthy. She decided to go along with it, waisting the one hundred bucks, and nearly two days later they agreed to meet up in Daegu (where Miso lives).

Their first meeting was interesting. Miso was blown away by Taeyong’s appearance (he's even better looking in person) and Taeyong was surprised that the girl was actually eighteen and not thirteen since she looked so young. Nonetheless, Taeyong was the perfect gentlemen, and Miso was a shy young lady. The two went on a series of dates over the weekend. They went to a movie where he kept his arm around her shoulders, and they shared food. He drove her crazy by opening doors for her, holding her hand in public, and sweeping her off her feet with multiple compliments. They went out to dinner that same day and discussed nearly anything Miso wanted. Which was mainly dramas. Miso felt like she was in heaven, and Taeyong didn’t really feel anything for the girl except that she was nice. Yet, on the last day the two stayed together as a “couple” Miso decided to try her chances with Taeyong.

Miso shifts from one foot to the other as the two stand in an elevator that’s running down to the basement for Miso’s car. Taeyong was leaning against the back trying to fix his navy bucket hat a top his head. “Close your eyes.” Miso suddenly states, her fingers curling into her shirt. Taeyong glances down at her, a confused look on his face.

“Pardon?” He mumbles as he drops his hands from his hat.

Miso sighs and crosses her arms over her chest. “Close your eyes, please?” Taeyong’s eyebrow shifts upward in question; before, he does in fact close his eyes. Miso in a breath, her hands tightening on her shirt, before she stands on the tips of her toes and kisses him. Taeyong’s eyes immediately snap open in surprise.

After the kissing incident, they stayed silent for a minute. Both were equally shocked. Miso was shocked that she actually had the guts to kiss him. And Taeyong was shocked that the girl kissed him as well. After stepping out of the elevator, Taeyong cleared his throat and stayed that the kiss would be an extra twenty bucks on the one-hundred she already owes him. Miso was beside herself, that Taeyong didn't even act chivalry with that kiss or respond about it. He just ignored it. So, like any woman with dignity, she slapped him, grabbed the one-hundred from her purse, shoved it at him, and ran to her car. Leaving him there. She drove to a nearby park where she cried for a little while. (If Taeyong knew she had cried, he'd probably cry from guilt). Needless to say, the two weren't on good terms after.

Miso was mad that she wasted her first kiss with a boy who didn't care, and Taeyong was upset that she didn't pay the extra twenty for the intimacy. This wasn't the last time they'd meet though. After moving into his new apartment (a few months after the dating incident) Taeyong finally had the guts to find his biological mother. He learned that she lived in Daegu. And through some connections, found her address. And who happens to be the person living with her (a person who is like the woman's daughter)? Miso. Yeah, that “family friend” Miso was staying with happens to be Taeyong’s biological mother—way to make things awkward. The dinner the three had before Taeyong dropped connections with his mother, was beyond awkward. Miso and Taeyong couldn't stop glaring at each other while Miso was trying to understand how a nice lady could spawn such a mean son. And Taeyong was wondering how his mother could take in a weird girl but not her own son. Awkward.

⟪ CONCLUSION ⟫  IT'S STILL COMPLICATED

Taeyong and Miso tried not to hang around each other once Taeyong found out his mother wasn’t the scariest woman on the planet. Neither of them enjoyed talking about the past especially their serious past. And, at the very most, neither of them enjoyed being near each other. The next time the two interact for a long period of time, isn’t any better. Taeyong was in Daegu for vacation with Joon and Dayoon when—nearing nine at night—Taeyong gets a call from none other than Miso. A drunk Miso. An upset drunk Miso who started calling Taeyong a meanie and a jerk. The man running the bar, takes the phone from her (despite her obnoxiously loud refusals) and tells Taeyong to come pick her up. And if he doesn’t, he’d kick her to the curb.

Even though Taeyong didn’t feel like doing it, he managed to get to the bar just before Miso got thrown out for being disorderly. When she first caught sight of him, Miso slapped the boy across the face before falling into his arms from nearly fainting. He got her into his car, without any more fighting, and drove her back to his place because he didn’t have the guts to see his mother. Nearing morning, Miso finally got up, and was sobered up as well. She nearly peed herself at the sight of an unfamiliar place (and it being hotel room) along with a partially Taeyong making disgusting coffee from the coffee machine. She grabbed the nearest object next to her (which happened to be a pillow) and began wacking Taeyong over the head with it. Pratically ambushing him, since he still thought she was sleeping. He managed to wrap an arm around her waist (catching her off guard) and bringing the two to the floor.

After clearing up the awkwardness in the situation, and explained what happened the night before—Miso was beyond sorry and extremely weird after it. But, at least, the two were back on speaking terms. For an apology, Miso asked him out to dinner and reluctantly Taeyong agreed. Asking her not to kiss him this time. She only glared and threatningly threw a punch at him. Miso went home, and both of them got extravagently ready for dinner despite agreeing for it not to be a date. Dinner actually went quiet well, it was like back when she rented him as a boyfriend. Sadly, neither of them can tolerate drinking, and ended up getting quiet drunk. While heading out of the resturant (after calling a taxi) Taeyong took Miso by suprise, and kissed her very passionately. Funny thing is, Miso is a lot shorter than him, and she had to stand on his feet to continue the kiss that both of them enjoyed.

The next day (though things were a bit awkward) Miso said her goodbyes to Taeyong who initiated a hug with her before he headed inside to the train station. Joon and Dayoon standing behind him (watching them like a pair of moviegoers and squealing like fangirls). Before he left, he ruffled her hair, smiled, and pecked her on the lips for one last time. Quoting something along the lines of saying she's no longer a prude (the statement she called herself while drunk). He ran off from her, laughing, as she blushed like a child and kept her hands over her cheeks. Taeyong headed back to Seoul, Miso stayed in Daegu; but, they decided to call each other every once in a while. One call every month turned into one call every week, which spawned into one call every day. The two aren't exactly romantically involved; but, the two have been good friends and flirt with each other using chessy pick-up lines over the phone.

(Honestly it’s up to you what you’d like to do, right now they’re just friends since their story started a while before he got into SIA. For reference, when they made up it was a few months before Taeyong started school at SIA. It’d be nice if towards the end of the story, they’d just decide that they like each other but are unsure of confessing, so, it’s just an open ending.)

Sorry for making this waaaaaaay to long!
