The Customers are very nosey

Okay.

So, I work at this international grocery story close to where I live and all of the customers are super friendly which is okay but sometimes they can be a little creepy but that is another story entirely. 

This story is about this couple (I think they are a couple?) who always come into my line no matter what and they are super sweet. So on Sunday they came in and like usual, they came to my line. We said hi, chatted about what we've been up to and all of that. Then we were quiet for a bit while I was ringing things up and bagging them. The wife all of a sudden asks me how old I was and because it was a curious question from someone I didn't deem creepy, I told her I was turning 20 soon. Her eyes bugged out and then she asked if I was married and when I told her no, she started stuttering as if she couldn't believe it. Then she asked if I had a boyfriend at least and when I told her no once again she began to freak out. 

So... 

THat's it really...

Just wanted to share a tidbit from my week...

I had the same experience but just - I was working with elderly and there were this super sweet man. He was very ill as well, but extremely kind. He told me I must be married and I denied. Oh, but then I had to be engaged - no. I must have a boyfriend then - no. He was like O__O what are a cute, young woman like you doing without a man? They're missing out big time on you, my lovely girl. XD
I took it as a compliment - you should too ^^ She obviously thought you were too lovely not to have a partner and got surprised nobody had figured out how lovely you are ~
(At least thinking of it that way makes it seem really nice) ^^
