With the news about Minzy no longer being part of one of KPop's best female group, 2NE1, I am truly shocked and saddened.

It seems like it was only yesterday when I shed plenty of tears over their surprise performance in MAMA. It seems like it was only yesterday when I got to see the queens slay millions and millions of people with just their existence. It seems like it was yesterday when I was holding on to the last strand of hope I had in kpop, in believing that kpop isn't only just about business, that somewhere in there, there's friendship and a close bond that tied them together and not just the contract binding them.

It seems like only yesterday that all the Blackjacks were standing strong and believing that FOURever is real.

But shall we put all the sadness away and think about the years we've had spent with four of the most amazing girls that has ever existed.

However, let's put the spotlight on the one who especially brought the world to a state of awe with her amazing vocals and undeniably awesome dance skills-- to the maknae who never stopped showing us great talent.

As a blackjack who stayed with them for almost 7 years, I've grown to have an attachment to our baby. She may not be my main bias, but she was always there to shaken and threaten my stable list.

However, even with just four members, the company may have had a mistake in terms of giving equal limelight to the artists.

For years, Minzy may have struggled to have her own label-- take for example, Bom, being the main vocalist, having to garner the attention of the people with her top-notch vocals. There would also be Dara who captures the heart of the people with her variety skills and never-dying beauty, being the visual of the group. And lastly, there is CL who's labeled as the "baddest female", stealing the eyes of the people with her strong charisma and unique rapping skills.

Thus, where does Minzy stand?

Minzy, has the voice, the face and the skill. She can dance, and even if you're not a blackjack, you would know how awesome she is when she starts to move. She also got that swag and confidence that could match with CL's.

Yet, why can't people appreciate her as much as they appreciate the other members? Why can't YG give Minzy the same break as he gave to the other girls? Why can she only be left in the shadows when others are shining so damn bright on the screens?

These questions are what I've been pondering on these past few days-- making my heart hurt.

Then I started to watch MVs and other videos that involve 2NE1 and I couldn't help but smile when I see that the girls' relationship can't possibly be staged. There's this happinness I feel when I see them perform together, conquering the world.

Then  realized that maybe, despite this sad event, seven years with them is already worth treasuring. That maybe despite their stronng bond, there are still instances in life the separation in unavoidable.

Despite her departure, we should still thank her for the seven awesome years she have shared with us as a member of the one and the only 2NE1. We should thank her for showing us her skills and abilities. We should thank her for giving us that final performance that we never expected.

Simply, we should thank her for making us happy.

We will forever be grateful for your existence, Maknae. May you be blessed in your future endeavors and may you shine as bright like the stars.
