She is a really cheerful girl, it's not hard to approach her if she hasn't approached you first. She is such a dear when it comes to people, she will offer you the warmth you need, the laugh you want and the shoulder to cry on. She is the type that will randomly bakes cookies and give them to her friends at anytime at all. 

Being the bouncy one she is, she is sometimes overwhelmingly bright making it hard for some people to keep up with her energy. She seems to oblivious to the world. Too innocent and too pure. Her clumsiness is just one of her typical little girl charms she has. Often people around her tries so much to protects this innocent girl.

Sometimes though, she can be kind of creepy. She will come up to you and suddenly say things you thought nobody know of. One time she seems too oblivious to her surroundings but the next time you talk to her she just remembers every detail that you say. There are times when you are taken aback by what she knows. This makes some people closer to her wonders just how much this girl knows.

Nobody knows who she really is. All they know is that She is Hwang Jinae. She has an older sister. Her dad is a business man. That is it. People just say she just really a down to earth kind of girl so she doesn't like talking about herself. What they don't know is what she actually is. What she is hiding from the world. What experiences did she had. How much she is actually capable of.

How she pretends to be the innocent little girl everyone trust gives her more access to their daily lives. How she come to be so likeable provides her the needs of knowledge of everyone surrounding her. Her oblivious act quenches her thirst of what in people's mind. All wrapped prettily in pink fluffy box with ribbon tied around it. Her ears listening, recording to everything, her eyes observing, picking up every little detail and her sponge like brain, absorbing every little information. She's an evil genius in disguise. Ah, don't forget her photographic memory that everyone doesn't know of, no, not even her dear father.

As a child she didn't know what her father do for a living nor does she care. She just wants to play with her big sister and mother since he was never there. But everything changed when they were suddenly rushed by their father to Japan when she was 4. Without any warning. They just left. After a year of finally settling down in Japan it happened again. This time with more urgency from the man who is barely home. America this time, San Fransisco. Not even half a year passed by they moved to Hawaii. And then Germany. UK. But never back home.

This is when little Jinae starts to get curious. Her 7 year old self would wander around the house, sneaking into their father's office and read things she shouldn't have. All the crimes her father commited. All the stealing and snooping. All the drugs included. All the killing. The money her father earned is no joke. She would hide in the office's closet listening to her father's phonecalls. He is the big boss.

Telling her sister, she only found out that she knew all along. She just hides if from her dear little sister. Her mother knew. Everybody knew but her. She has to found it out by crawling through doors and hiding around. 

It was a stormy night at Brazil. They just moved there for 3 months but who knew when to pack the bags. Father is home. Well ever since their gateaway he has always been home. Suddenly her parents picked her and her sister up panickedly, trying to run away from something. They were almost out of the house when mother got shot on the ankle. Jinae went down too with mother who was carrying her. Then there was so many people. Her father had gone out the room only to be invaded by more people. It was chaotic. Gunshots everywhere. Mother got shot protecting her little body.

After that night it was always running away from another mafia group. She noticed that there is more than one people searching for father. It wasn't until she was 16 that they finally able to come back to South Korea and settle down. 

Trivia

Hwang Sooyeon.
The closest person to her. They both know everything about each other since they can only trust each other. Both know each other's dark side, though Sooyeon never really hides her dark side either. Sooyeon is very hard to approach, complete opposite to what Jinae's personality is in people's eyes but really, they're just the same.

Their father is training Sooyeon to be his successor. He is very much unaware of his youngest daughter's potential because the two has been keeping it a secret from him.

the love story. 

They met at school, him being an alumni of a club who came back to look out for his fellow club members. But Jinae is sure that she had seen him somewhere else. When, where or how she couldn't remember. It frustrates her. Her brain is very much in her control –unlike others –but why can't she grasp the image of that guy. It’s there, but she can't reach it.

Truth is they have met as children before. They met on a social event back then as a child. She sometimes get this image of him, only a lot younger, in a tux sitting there with an unreadable expression. They never talked, only exchanged glances. She was 5, he was 9. Their family were close. It was so close for her to be betrothed to the young boy. But her father had another plan. He betrayed the other mafia families in that event and made his own, risking the lives of his family.

Turns out Nam Taehyun also remembered the eyes of the beautiful 5 years old little girl that still haunts his dreams. 

Jinae just can't live with the fact that she can't remember something. Everything just went berserk for her since the day she laid eyes on him at school. So she started looking up for him. He is just as good as she is at hiding his identity. Zero results, she started to take a more bold approach: stalking. She stalked him for quite sometimes. She still doesn't find out how he is related to her young memory.

She finally decided to confront him. She got into the same club, digging more info on him until the day he would come and visit. She hates drama club, of course she can't show it, she has to act like a teenage girl dreaming to be on stage with her favorite actor. Ew. But alas, Nam Taehyun came. She approached him with her usual sugar coated friendliness. He shrugged her off, only to piss her off more.

It was when she was appointed as the lead role in the school musical that he started taking glances at her. He also feels this tickle in his brain and he couldn't pinpoint what it is. This girl seems so intriguing. But why? She's just an average teenage girl --an annoying one at that. Not his type at all. This is the kind of girl that is too good for him.

Until the main male lead didn't come he was forced to practice a scene with her. Looking straight to her eyes, he was shocked of how... deep and dark it is. As if he's seeing his own soul, only it's her. He had always been good at seeing through people. But why is her mask so perfectly built and worn that even he can't see through it.

Ride or die

It was all revealed when his father's group confronted her father's group. They both happened to be there and it was there when he learned all about her. The confrontation between two groups got on hold thanks to a neverending discussion in which both groups see is useless.

The day after, Taehyun went to confront Jinae. Jinae is finally able to release her true dark self. It was then when he realised the little girl who was haunting him for 11 years is her. Unknowingly, Jinae begins to open up more and more to him.

This is the start of their blossoming wild romance.
