What is this? Did you know that AFF is celebrating its 7th year of being up and running? Every year we have thought of ways to commemorate this special date by doing various activities.
With that being said, this year we have decided to make it all about you with these 45 questions, interview with yourself, survey, quiz—whichever you wanted to call it haha.
Why are we doing 45 Questions? Because... it's fun. Don't question.
Our theme for this year is the freesia, when given on the 7th Anniversary it upholds trust and faithfulness within a bond. The freesia is also a symbol of friendship. It was named freesia after Friedrich H. T. Freese by fellow botanist Christian P. Ecklon, as a tribute to their friendship.
This day marks seven years of trust, faithfulness and friendship with the site, it's creator and the community. As a thank you to all participants, we leave you with a thank you message from the creator of AFF himself.

1. Why was Asianfanfics created?
I'm actually not sure, but I think it's to gather a community of people who enjoy sharing their creativity when it comes to their favourite OTP/idols.
2. What is the exact date of AFF's anniversary?
I don't know sadly, but I guess I'll find out this year hopefully!
3. Our admin, Jason, wrote a fanfic: Zero Day Diaries. Which kpop artists are featured in this fic?
I don't think I got a chance to read it ;;.
4. How long have you been on AFF for?
Going into my 4th year now, heh.
5. What color was AFF's layout when you joined?
Green lol.
6. How did you find AFF?
A friend introduced me to the site.
7. How did you end up becoming a member? What made you want to become a member?
It was actually, believe or not, to join a roleplay on this platform. And even though this account now is not my very first one, it's my personal account where I subscribe to read stories and such. Roleplay was the first step for me, but definitely the fanfics people write here and before I knew it, reading fanfics and checking for updates became a daily thing for me.

Like I said above, I can't remember her actual aff account name, but sadly, we've grown apart over the years.
13. How many fanfiction/thread(s) do you currently have? How many of them are complete?
I think I had like 2 fanfictions I put up, but they are both incomplete. Then I have like 3 layout shop/gallery threads, 2 of them are closed.
14. How many unique subscribers do you have?

15. What badges do you have?
3 year badge, and email verification.
16. Have you been an AFF Gold Member?
No.
17. Out of a scale of 10, how much do you frequent the site?
10. Everday.
18. What is the main activity that you do on AFF?
Read fanfiction and provide layout codes.
19. How do you spend most of your karma points?
I used them once for an RP, but now I only used them once to change my username.
20. How would you like to spend you karma points? (E.g. Kpop merchandise.)
It would be nice to find some specific use for this virtual currency, but I'm can't really decide on what yet.
21. Have you ever uploaded a video in the video gallery?
Nope.
22. Have you entered the chatroom? How was it like for you?
I think I tried once, but it was kind of... awkward for me.
23. What is your favourite feature of AFF?
The different sections available when looking for fanfics to read (latest / votes / views / etc). I find it useful. Bookmarking for when I transition from reading on mobile to reading on my computer, and saving fics to read offline is definitely a life saver sometimes when there's no wifi available.
24. What is your least favourite feature of AFF? How can it be improved to make it better?
Nothing at the moment, I think
25. If you could introduce just one feature on AFF, what would it be and why?
Pop-up notifications! Like an alert for new notifications the moment we get the notifications because I know that some people are anxious to know about when new stories are updated or when they get accepted into roleplays. OR If possible, I'd love to see this site have its own app that is available for apple and android users, no doubt it would be a handy tool for mobile users!!
26. If you could customize the way AFF appears to you, what color would it be? You could just pick one color or a palette.
I quite like the new blue colour of it, but of course, colous that are soothing to look at for the eyes. Nothing neon.
27. Who is/are your best friend(s) on AFF?

28. Who are the users you want to get to know better?
Some of the fellow coders out there that produce amazing layouts.
29. Are you grateful/owe something to someone on AFF? Who and why?
No one.
30. Who are your AFF inspirations?
None at the moment.

My layout shop, DELIRIUM. I'm trying to experiment and improve my layout designs.

There are probably a few too many to list and they keep changing.

None at the moment.

I'm terrible with making titles, yikes. I guess "Life of a Fangirl." LOL.
37. What was the weirdest thing you encountered on the site?
Nothing really, but the sudden new layout change did give me a surprise.
38. What was the best thing that has happened to you on the site?
When you find that one story you instantly fall in love with.
39. Have your interests changed on AFF? If yes, in what way? (Eg. Change of OTP, bias group, AFF activity.)
Activity wise, is about the same. I did go through quite the transition from Super Junior to EXO to GOT7 for bias groups. That goes the same with OTP and the tags I search up to read now.
40. There are many communities now on AFF (such as the writing, designing, coding, applyfic, roleplay, reader communities). Is there a community that you aren't part of but want to try one time?
I think I tried most of them. I was even a Beta reader at one point.
41. What is the best thing AFF or being a member of AFF taught you?
There's an endless source of fanfiction here and you can definitely make lifelong friends through words.
42. What is your greatest contribution to the site so far?
Probably creating layouts for the general public.
43. What are your current AFF goals?
Read more stories, improve my layout making skills.
44. If the AFF community decides to do a get-together, how should we spend it and where?
It'll be difficult since there's so many users all over the world, but since this is AsianFanFics, probably in an asian country? Spend it sharing popular stories, and ice breakers.

Thank you so much for managing and creating this community in the first place. I may not have been here from the very beginning of this project, but I'm definitely not leaving anytime soon. This has been my go-to place ever since it's been introduced to me, and as long as my love for kpop is still there, this place will always be a second home to me. : ) Keep it up!!
