What is this? Did you know that AFF is celebrating its 7th year of being up and running? Every year we have thought of ways to commemorate this special date by doing various activities.
With that being said, this year we have decided to make it all about you with these 45 questions, interview with yourself, survey, quiz—whichever you wanted to call it haha.
Why are we doing 45 Questions? Because... it's fun. Don't question.
Our theme for this year is the freesia, when given on the 7th Anniversary it upholds trust and faithfulness within a bond. The freesia is also a symbol of friendship. It was named freesia after Friedrich H. T. Freese by fellow botanist Christian P. Ecklon, as a tribute to their friendship.

First time I found it was around 2010-2011. I was searching for the news of Yonghwa being sick, but kind of ended up here. Then in 2013 I was searching for 'Infinite OGS VCR (or superpowers?) and discovered Infinitizers. Yeah, it was a variety, but I joined in 2013.
7. How did you end up becoming a member? What made you want to become a member?
The Infinitizers by letitgyu. I was so keen on the story and planned on commenting on it, but ended up reading so much and wrote several... I think it was a fun thing.

Randompopper. I was planning on using randomuser because I was there at random and originally planned on doing nothing but occasional commenting (hence, randomuser), but someone had that name already, so I used Randompopper.

A supposedly deleted Yongshin fic.

Letitgyu.
12. Who was your first friend? Do you still keep in contact?
Letitgyu, haha. As far as contact... I haven't talked to her in months, although we used to converse a lot in the past. Wish I could talk to her right now, sighs.

Six, two of them complete. This doesn't include abandoned ideas, however.

8-9? I mean, I tend to sneak out browsing (although tampering the habit is my current chore this days). I just don't log offline because I'm... lazy.

Checking subscription list and/or occasional applying or commenting.
19. How do you spend most of your karma points?
Changing my username.
20. How would you like to spend you karma points? (E.g. Kpop merchandise.)
I... don't know. I'd like to keep them, mostly (not sure if this is just a bad habit).

Nope.
22. Have you entered the chatroom? How was it like for you?
Depends. Did an error once or twice, so I was pretty embarassed. Also had my blood boiling when someone did badmouth admins in AFF (this was already out of the 10080 thing - my reply got deleted or I might accidentally delete them, but either way, I burst out). Had my reviews done once, though!
23. What is your favourite feature of AFF?
Comment feature? Does this count? I mean, it's nice that people can give feedback, compliments, constructive criticism, etc (yes, I am way too naive.)
24. What is your least favourite feature of AFF? How can it be improved to make it better?
I'm not sure if it happens for everyone, but the random featured story sometimes glitched and had a ton of upvotes and subscribers while in reality it's much less than that. also, is it me but the new AFF layout keeps on going mobile for me in my phone? (as someone who few huge layouts, this is a problem).
25. If you could introduce just one feature on AFF, what would it be and why?
I didn't think through this, but it would be nice if some of them got improved (although I saw recently and the random feature seems to be working normally now. That's great.)
26. If you could customize the way AFF appears to you, what color would it be? You could just pick one color or a palette.
Pink or pastel purple. Like dust pink, but then again I'm assured people prefer something more... eye comforting (I mean, like the pink currently used by this layout font. It's really cute.)
27. Who is/are your best friend(s) on AFF?
letitgyu, orangepumpkin, jitaexing up... i tried to keep up with applyfics, but I guess the authors I'm the closest to is overwrite and SHINeegirlalways? I don't talk much anymore on AFF. It gets amazingly lonely.
28. Who are the users you want to get to know better?
a... lot of people. Some applyfic authors, although I wouldn't name.
29. Are you grateful/owe something to someone on AFF? Who and why?
Letitgyu, for writing the first fic that introduce me to AFF, haha. Peachysoo, for giving me a really helpful advice relating to studies... I managed to rank at the top three from being at the bottom three. Thank you so much. And also to all of my current ZODIAC readers and author SHINeegirlalways, because they're honestly supportive after the whole lot of rollercoaster I went through in getting my grades up.
30. Who are your AFF inspirations?
There are a lot of applyfic authors that I'd want to thank because you guys write so beautifully and are helpful in reviewing my characters that I got better.
31. If you could put a star on any of your fics/threads, which one would you pick?
Irene...? LMAO NONONO I DON'T MY FIC . Okay, ZODIAC would do.
32. What is/are your all time favourite storie(s)/thread(s)?
The Infinitizers by letitgyu, summerchild's chasing series, and orangepumpkin's perks of being alive.

A lot of authors write well, so I tend not to be picky.

I remembered the (currently in draft) Saving Suzy by summerchild. It was great.

sirius, betelguese, and chirvolty. the first two are star constellations (one being the brightest and the other coming a close second), and the third... is a mix of jumbled words. Chivalry and revolt.
36. If you would write a fanfic about your life in AFF, what would the title be?
Rollercoaster.
37. What was the weirdest thing you encountered on the site?
The fact that my app had similar components to the others...? Like someone just made an opposite of mine, not sure if it's a coincidence. The story is deleted though.

Applyfics.
39. Have your interests changed on AFF? If yes, in what way? (Eg. Change of OTP, bias group, AFF activity.)
Yeahaha. I changed from writing to applying (although I still wrote, occasionally.) and around this time, I got interested in Monsta X (and lost my interest in INFINITE, sorry.)
40. There are many communities now on AFF (such as the writing, designing, coding, applyfic, roleplay, reader communities). Is there a community that you aren't part of but want to try one time?
Coding? I mean, I technically code, but I'm not a part of the layout-making community.
41. What is the best thing AFF or being a member of AFF taught you?
No such thing as free speech without consequences (uh... too cynical?) sometimes anonymity isn't long with you. Be careful of your words and think twice. Don't let emotions take the best of you.
42. What is your greatest contribution to the site so far?
I applied :D okay I also code, technically, but it's for a self thing. Nevermind. I guess commenting long stuff occasionally counts.
43. What are your current AFF goals?
Continue applying along with balancing studies for A-Levels. May try designing (and ultimately failing) at coding. Finishing at least ONE applyfic (haha... is already broken by the beginning of time.)
44. If the AFF community decides to do a get-together, how should we spend it and where?
Somewhere near my country, lol. I've been thinking of that kinds of stuff, but everyone lived in different continents that may take hours to reach. It's probably fun to open a huge forum (but this is a bad idea, so no.)

Thank you so much for keeping with all the crazy that continued to occur here and there, the dramas, the everything. AFF may have saved lives, at the same time, connect people, and help others discover new things. That may be something that many people never reached in their lifetime, but you helped and created a platform that... does a lot of heaps of crazy good. Thank you
