REVIEW | DAY6: DAYDREAM [2^ND MINI ALBUM]

01. First Time

This is a peppy, summer-y song which you probably hear when you're at the beach with our friends playing with the sand and pushing each other into the water because THAT IS THE ONLY THING I CAN THINK OF IMAGINE JAE PUSHING DOWOON INTO THE WATER AND THE MAKNAE GETTING REVENGE FOR IT whew~ sorry fangirl mode got switched on. Anyways, this is a song i'd dance to on a sunny day! and the chorus 'For the first time~ neowa dareul goseul hyanghae georeoga!' really got me like, 'Yes! This is my jam!'. If you didn't know this song, as I understood, is something about saying goodbye to a girl who had kept the lover boy obsessed with her for so long. it's like a rebel song to the title song, and to the feel of the title song.

02. Blood

Jae's favourite song (he said in Genie's Interview)! I'm only to write the scenes I imagine when i hear this album's songs because that's the best way to explain a song! For this, this is something which could best fit a lone tralev in a caravan-type car, and enjoying time all alone but not feeling that lonely. Get the picture? i hope you do. This has a kind-of-EDM beat to it but it's still band music! Not very appealing to me, because... i don't get the feel.

03. Letting Go (놓아 놓아 놓아)

The title song!! And I JUST LOVE IT GAWD SUNGJIN BE LIKE 'I'M THE VOCAL' AND AND THIS IS SUCH A BEAUTIFUL SONG. many relate this song as an apology like thing for Junhyeok, because it does fit, but I don't want to think it that way. Enough of departure and ; let them live their lives. This is about a guy who lets a girl go because he himself realises he's been holding her to him for too long. He lets her go, for her own sake. plus i sung this to my momyesterday and i myself realised how bad I'm at singing >~< thanks, Letting Go, for letting me know how bad my voice. according to my Mom i 'don't open up my voice more' while i sing. but Sungjin DAMN HE LOOKS GOOD he reminds me of someone, and he gives the vibe of the next-door boy who's a dork...?

04. Sing Me

why does this feel like the opening song of an anime? like, it gives the vibe of an anime. and Wonpil's voice makes it even more... anime-ish. i've watched enough animes to know this sounds like an anime theme song. and 'Goodbye like Miss A'? what is this hinting i'm seeing~ hm? -~-

05. 바래 (Hope)

I heard this from DAY6's trials/parts/whateverr posted on Insta, and I instantly liked it. Now that I hear it.... it doesn't sound as good as I expected when i saw the video. And this too sounds like a travel-song, the one where the male lead would go to see his girlfriend who's in another country. y'know, the wind brushing his hair as he goes in a taxi, thinking back to the times when they loved. or whenyou're just going to another country. US, to be exact. this gives the 'just came to US' vibes.

06. Hunt

This is like a troll-song... like SHINee's 'Woof Woof' was. You get what i'm meaning, right? Like those songs where a nerdy boy tries oh-so-badly to seduce a queenka girl and fails, and the girls just steps all over him, trolling him. that's what i feel when i hear this album.

So, overall it's a solid album, and I'm expect at least one win in Music shows (that being said THEY'RE PERFORMING TODAY ON M!COUNTDOWN MY BOYS ;~;).

Overall points: 18/20 (because this wasn't as good as 'The Day' was and i expected another song like 'Colors' but that ended up ebing the title song...)
