the thing about da in is that she's constantly trying her best to be happy. maybe it's a survival technique - if you act happy long enough, the feeling might start to wear off? -, but she tries to overlook small obstacles and manouvre her way out of sticky situations using her wit and humor, with which she has made quite a few people feel better in the past. she sometimes feels like the 'mom'-friend of her immediate circle of friends, taking the responsibility on her shoulders and tries to live up to it to the best of her ability. she draws people in with her charming personality and her loving smile, and she firmly believes that a positive indsight creates positive results

da in and kang in's loving but firm parents. jung kwon hee, a journalist for the news source 'the chosun ilbo', is the practical and professional parent, whose heart instantly softens whenever he's in the same room as his kids. da in is really close to her dad, and she knows she's his little princess, and even though she hates being called little after she turned 21, it isn't that big of a problem when it's her dad who's doing it. kwon hee is probably the one out of the entire family who had the hardest time accepting her journey to stardom, but he's only being skeptical bcause he's looking out for her. and it took some time and a lot of convincing from both da in and her mother, but eventually, he has come to terms with the way things are for his youngest child. 

casting a sideways glance at the long-haired and classically beautiful won hae sung, it isn't hard to see where da in gets her looks from - if da in is the sun, her mother is the moon and all of the stars, all in one, compressed into around 169 centimeters of smiles, grace and firm arms that are always open for hugs and caresses. da in positively adores her mother, she's her role model and her rock, and da in is so grateful for the fact that her mother agreed to let her become an idol. working as a pre-school teacher, hae sung carries herself with professional calmness, and insists to see the best in everyone, even those who have done her wrong. 

da in is not a hateful person - far from it. but concerning her older brother, kang in, she's probably not as nice as a younger sister should be. kang in and da in have always had a love/hate relationship with each other, bickering like crazy one moment and then sleeping next to each other on the couch with a movie running in the background only a few seconds after, and despite their differences (and kang in's ability to be a pest), da in appreciates her brother. he's considerate and supported her dream from the beginning, and even bought her first mini album as a way of helping her on the way.

joining her agency, she - quite literally - ran into the senior singer kang min kyung. despite being only one year older than da in, the woman immediately took her under her wings, deeming her 'too pure for the world', much to da in's (and the rest of the company's) great amusement. min kyung is the alma mater of their little friend group - the supreme mother, who even overshadows da in's own motherly tendencies without having to try too much. But besides being a mom (despite actually being the third youngest), min kyung serves as da in's mentor in every aspect of the word. if da in has any issue concerning her career, her personal life or something as mundane as an outfit crisis, da in calls min kyung in varying states of panic, and the older is always ready to help.

talking about kang min kyung, it's almost impossible not to mention lee hae ri. while being older than the older one of the davichi duo, and being the oldest out of their group, she acts very much like a child. she likes to enjoy herself and let loose, and in spite of her ongoing and very succesful singing career hosts the best parties ever, that may or may not include too much alcohol and someone dancing on a coffee table with a golden plastic hat on (that may or may not have happened; the details are unclear). whenever things get too serious or too too boring (and that's hae ri's own use of terminology, not da in's), hae ri is always the first to jump out of her seat and drag the others away into shenanigangs time and time again.

lastly, but absolutely not least, one finds james lee - the bassist of royal pirates. ever since they met, da in and him have been hitting it off, joking with each other and bickering like an old married couple. they know each other (and more of each other) than either of them care to admit, especially after their break up, but despite them not being romantically involved anymore, they're still as close as two persons can be. 

the whole romance-thing started like most romances do. da in was attending a music sho after party, and after striking up conversation with somebody who knew somebody who knew somebody who knew james, the two were introduced. the lighting was off and the music was too loud, so the two of them agreed to leave the party, and eventually found themselves strolling down the streets of central seoul, eating several things that a nutritionist would most definitely not recommend for any diet. numbers were exchanged that evening, and after three months of just being close friends, the two of them started to date. 

unluckily for the couple, netizens and fans were too quick at catching up on the small subtle things - bracelets, selfies and the like - and when da in and james' managers found out about their little secret, they were asked whether or not they wished to go public. initially, james did want to, but da in got cold feet because she was still at the beginning of her career and a relationship potentially had the power to ruin a lot of things. their love for each other didn't diminish spectacularly after that decision, james was disappointed but respected her choice, and da in is honestly so glad they're still friends. to this day, james is her first real boyfriend, and he'll hold a very special place in her heart for many, many years.

ABOUT  jackson is a pretty easy guy to be around - he's sarcastic, snarky and a definite moodmaker, and he appreciates informality - in his eyes, the best way of getting to know another person is to leave the honorifics and the awkward politeness at the door, and then take it from there. he knows he isn't perfect, far from it actually, but he loves being the dorky rapper of his group, and he wouldn't want to change himself for the sake of fame. he's surprisingly good with children (or maybe that's not that big of a surprise after all), but when it comes to household chores, he's about as useful as a potted plant. but he tries, and that's what matters

LOVE STORY how did the two of you meet, how you guys usually interact, specific scenes that have something to do with the two of them.

the whole thing began when da in by coincidence found out about got7 after browsing some videos on youtube. she liked the vibe the group gave off, and initially started out being a fan. she bought their albums, watched their shows and supported them online as much as she could, and as many other fangirls around the world, she dreamt of meeting her idols one day, if not for anything else then to tell them how much she liked their music. 

as faith would have it, got7 was scheduled for a comeback stage the same week as her - they were promoting Just Right just as she began on One Of These Nights, and with all of the extra rehearsals and wardrobe checks (god, the wardrobe checks), it was almost inevitable that the two of them ran into each other. 

looking back, da in doesn't find it very odd that she ended up crushing on the younger rapper - his personality matched hers like a puzzle piece, and he always knew how to make her laugh and forget about her worries, because while she was older than him, he was the sunbae, and he had plenty of advice to give out to her whenever she felt like pursuing her dream was completely hopeless. for jackson, it seemed that nothing was impossible, and his constant hope for a bright future started to rub off on her, and eventually, between mic checks and rehearsals, they became friends. 

da in was aware of her changing feelings relatively soon, and she fully intends to keep it to herself, although every single advice session min kyung has given her has ended up with "if you don't' tell him, i will!", even though the latter hasn't acted on her threat. but little does she actually know that jackson, in confidentiality, has told certain of s that he's pretty sure he likes her too. one of them has yet to act upon their feelings, but until them secretly shipping themselves isn't enough, the fans sure are a great help.

ABOUT  rohui is filled with curiosity and happiness in surprisingly large amount considering her size and age. she quickly trusts new people around her, provided that they shower her with affection - which most people do; she has basically everyone wrapped around her little finger, and sees no issue in using this to get exactly what she wants. she rarely cries: she whimpers and clutches to people when she's tired, upset or hungry, but when she cries she's not the easiest to calm down, because then everything is wrong, no matter what the issue originally is. 

PARENTING RELATIONSHIP 

the very first thing rohui does when she enters the new house with her 'parents' is to quickly crawl her way across the living room floor in search of something exciting, leaving da in and jackson mildly stunned and absolutely humored. once the territory was sufficiently explored, she clambered into jackson's lap, demanding to be carried for the rest of the night. it didn't seem to bother her that him and da in were essentially strangers, but she quickly grew uneasy when one of them weren't in sight, becoming tightly attached to the two of them, much to their delight. 

concerning parenting roles, da in is the cooing and everloving type who wakes rohui up in the morning and plays peek-a-bo with her, all the while jackson is the funny uncle who wants to go exploring with her with a second's notice. they both shower the little girl with affection, for as much as they can possibly muster, despite enduring sleepless nights when rohui won't go to sleep, or when she wakes up unbelievably early and wants her 'eom' and 'da' who are still asleep (how dare they), and learning that having a child is more than just nap time and changing diapers. But despite this, they're almost a little family, just the three of them, and so far neither da in nor jackson has screwed up royally - that's gotta be a good sign right?
