Her hair is in natural black colour and flow right down to her chest. She have natural beauty that come along with a chubby cheeks. everyone like to compare her with one of the famouse chippettes, eleanor. however, she have a long scar nearer to her lower right side of abdomen due to her appendicitis surgery in the past. she covered it with a butterfly tattoo. currently hard to see unless the person focus deeply and can see the scar.

STYLE ♡ She's a minimalist yet casual fashionista. She mostly dressed up in her most basic colours such as , black, blue, grey, white as well as with a tinge of silver accents. PERSONALITY ♡
Tong Li was raised up to be optimistic. She knows what she want that she became hopeful and confident with her future. She even carefully plan her way to achieve it that even if she fall in the middle, she will continue to stand up again and again. She's pretty much intelligent that she have no problem with her studies. She's an ace student that normally scores either a or b despite her busy schedule with her training as well predebuts. She also multi-lingual who knows how to speak 4 languages and that languages are, english, chinese, korean and japanese. She's the most caring human being in her group that she's been label as their mother who wants the best for her kids. Her witty remarks is the reason almost anyone could get along with her easily.

Tong Li are also seen as blunt person to someone who can't stand her witty remarks. Her honesty would make them burst out crying and showing hatred to her. But she knew, it's for the sake of that person's future. At first, the members couldn't get used to it but they slowly accept it with open heart. Just one thing that the members can't take it till now is her overprotective which caused her to be pugnacious. She's very protective in her members that if she got scolded or bullies by other trainees or seniors, she's quick to argue and will stand up for them even if in the end she was sent to CEO room. She's very serious in her work therefore she hardly seen smiling and too focus that if another trainees/hoobaes walked past her and waved or greet her, she won't respond that they spread news about her being aloof. Lastly, the only traits probably someone who's super close to her will know that she's a clumsy person. She can break few glasses in just one day.

BACKGROUND ♡ 

Tong Li was born and raised in Seattle, Washington, US on 12th January 1994. She's the eldest of 4 siblings and also the eldest grandchild of her paternal side. She was exposed to Kwave as young as six years old from her maternal older cousins. She was a crazy fans of BOA. She love to dance a lot and look up to BOA since then and even learn the language on her own. Her dancing dreams crashed when she was down with appendix at the age of 11 and have to go for surgery. She was told that she couldn't dance as strong as she used to previously. However, due to her optimistic side, she still never give up in her dream. Instead of dancing vigorously she focus mainly in singing, when her middle school teacher praised her voice that she joined choir soon after. 

Her Choir teacher, a korean american teacher, Ms Baek was impress by her voice as well her communication in Korean that she encouraged her to go for Audition which that period of time SM Entertainment was the most famous one. She did went for the audition when SM Entertainment came over to her country in 2008. She was chosen when she got into top 3 that year itself for US audition. She moved to Seoul, South Korea after the graduation of her middle school. She originally set to go to korean kent foreign school for her high school but cause she have good knowledge in Korean Language, Hanlim Multi Art High school decided to take her in. She was in the same batch and class with one of her labelmate, Taemin. 

She was onced in line with FX for a month before she continue training again and then she was supposed to get debut with RED VELVET but was casted out due to health problem which she overexhausted herself that her heart palpitate stronger than an average a young lady should. She was sent back to Seattle for a year as she recuperate.

She spend her 7 years of training diligently as she awaited her time to get debut. She was surprisingly patient with SMENT for most of her trainees friends have left halfway and get debut in another company. When she first came in, she was put in line with Fx members but they felt like they have too many ratio of chinese members over korean members that she was replaced by Sulli soon after. As she awaited for her time to debut, she venture out to acting and modelling right after her graduation. That period onward she was already in line with future RV members. 

In 2013 prior to RV debut, Tong Li was admitted to hospital for overexhausting herself in training which cause her heart to palpitate a little over that an average a young woman should have that she was sent back to US to recuperate. She was taken out of the line due to her health that RV debuted as 4 members instead of normal 5 at first which in the middle they did planned to add her back but decide to add Yeri instead as a personal problem have arised when her best friend nullify his contracts which cause her to delay since it affect her mentality too when higher up start to approach and investigate her regarding Luhan. after 2 years of unexpected hardship, she finally gets to debut in a coed group, all thanks to her patience.

They first met in 2012 when Tong Li was chosen for a small role in chinese drama of Another Kind of Splendid Life. That period of time, she was still in relationship with her then boyfriend, Seo Kang Joon. They lost contact approximately 2 years plus when she went back US for a year to recuperate after overexhausting herself. 

RELATIONSHIP ♡

It was only recently when she came over to give support for his acting as well her other friends including her ex in "Cheese in the trap". They start calling each other when he got her number through Lee Sung Kyung. At first to her, it was just his way of giving her motivation to go through her debut phase but the other members kept teasing her that it is not, it a way of him flirting with her instead. They have Sunbae-Hoobae relationship and are even close as days goes by when they both were chosen to participate We got Married as a couple.

They end up together few months after the show. At first they remain silent over their new blossom relationship but was exposed by her CEO who wants them to be open with the relationship since it raised the SMENT stocks up.
