ELABORATION —

hana is known as a very optimistic girl, always seeing the glass as half full. She never did any work half way and always believe in herself that she would always get the best with whatever she's working for. she's also very passionate about her interest and job, being the one and only worker who works the longest in the flower shop that was owned by her auntie. she firstly accept the job as part -time when she was only in middle school, but she comes to like flower so much that she took a major in home economics, majoring in gardening. she knows everything about the flowers and she loves being around them and taking care of them for the whole day. she's also nown as a very eloquent girl, and was able to boost the sales every single month. she has this ability to pick up the interest in people whenever she talks to them about something, especially about flowers. most of her customers, especially her regular customer, asked for her opinion before they buy flowers. she also usually manage to change people mind whenever they came to buy flowers whenever she advices them to choose other flowers rather than what they were actually planning. she's also very thoughtful, always putting other's feeling before herself and never make a spontaneous decision.

hana is also a very emotional girl. she always cry whenever she watched any melancholic drama, and she could easily cry over a withered flower. she's a crybaby that always cry whenever she's happy, sad, angry, frustrated or disspaointed. she also have a very low self estem after her parents divorce when she was still in elementary school and she always get teased because of that. she also feels that she's quite a loser, being the only oe who don't excel in academic ike her other siblings, however, she could be quite hardheaded sometimes. this usually happens whenever her mother ask her to meet her father or her brother. she just ignore the conversation, change the topic or just walked out of the conversation. she's also an sxcapist, always running away from her problem instead of being brave and facing them and solving them confidently. she usually just let the problem to be solved by itself.
Although shhe's quite clumsy, always finding herself being forgetful and giving more changes to others and charging less money to the customers, hana is known as a very friendly and cheerful girl. she loves to smile and she's friendly with everyone, making her the centre of talk between her grandmother's mother's and aunties' friend. after she become adult, everyone adores her more for her natural beauty and cheerful and friendly personality. they started to match her up with their family, friends, etc or invited her for a blind date, but she politely rejecting them, saying that she still ahve a ot to learn before she coul be someone's girlfriend or wife.

 

 

BACKGROUND —

hana was born in a family of four. she is the youngest in the family, and she was born in harajuku, japan. her father was a baker and her mother was a tailor. her brother is three years older than her. they live happily in japan until their family moved back to korea when she was 10 years old. they moved back separately, she with her mother and her father with her brother. her mother and her lived with their grandparents in pohang. a few months later, her father comes along and stay with them together in pohang. but one day, hana overheard a fight between her parents. a few days later, he father left the village, with promise that he'd come back, but he never did. she then heard the news about her parents divorce and the news spread in the village. she was then being teased as a fatherless daughter by her frien. luckily, her brother was always there to protect her. he had promised to never leave her. two years later, her brother got an offer to continue his study in china, and he accepted the offer in secret. she only knew about it later, when she overheard a talk between her grandmother and her mother. she persuaded her brother not to go, but he did anyways. he always sent letter to them at first, but things get busy and he stopped writing to them soon after. he never come back until he graduated from teh university 6 years later.
they moved to seoul when hana was 14, as her uncle passed away in an accident and her grandmother and mother decided to stay with her auntie and help her with the flower shop business. she started working at the fower shop by then, while her mother and grandmother works in the flower garden.

 

 

RELATIONSHIPS — 

• mother - kim eunah (50) - gardener/housewife - affectionate, supportive, loving - she prepares everything for hana and always be the listener to all her problems. she could be considered as best-friend like mother.
• grandmother - byung jieun (68) - housewife/tailor - kind, caring, generous - taking care of the basics for hana, she's a mother-like grandmother who loves hana as her only granddaughter. she always nags to hana about her future and how she should be careful in choosing her future husband.
• aunt - kim jinah (45) - florist/gardener - passionate, moodmaker, open-minded - she's hana's boss, hana's advisor, hana's friends, hana's sister and everything she could ever be. she alwasy advise hana about life, about business and how to be a better manager.
• cousin - im yujin (10) - student - mischievous, cute, talkative - the only little boy n the family, he's like a baby to everyone in the house. he loves hana especially and would follow her everywhere. she also considered him as her little boyfriend and bring him whenever she goes and send and pick him up to school every single day.
• father - song byunghan (53) - business manager - compassionate, patient - hana hates him so much because he broke his promise. he never wants to see him but her father never give up in pursuing for her apologies.
• brother - song hajun (27) - architect - quiet, protective, caring - after he left to china, hana become awkward with him. she still hates him, but she misses him at time. what she doesn't know is even though she refused to meet him, he's always there, watching for her every single day since he's back from china.
