Trainee Life : Like a normal idol, She left her hometown at the age of 20 and came all the way to korea to achieve her dream of being an idol. She went through a lot of auditions and it took her 8 auditions from several companies before she finally got accepted into MBK Entertainment. Her life as a trainee wasn't that difficult to her since this is the path she chose afterall. therefore, she spend 4 years as a trainee and was then selected for the lineup Co-Ed group called 8strangers.

Debut Life: Her group debuted on 8 August 2013 a year after the failure of their first coed group Coed School making a comeback after they decided to continue as 2 different group, speed and 5dolls with her as the Leader, Main Rapper & Lead vocalist of 8strangers. She also got the title of producer for producing their albums 90% of it. Hye Ra and her other 7 members debuted with a song originally compose and lyrics written by her and her co-leader, JJ which they named it 'Hello Stranger'. Their debut success after their first MV reached 1 million within 24 hour surprising the netizens beating the big 3 company whenever they debut their groups.

After Debut: After 5 years of debuting and having success album as well departure of her 3 members that nullify their contracts in the middle of promotion, 8strangers continues going strong with their own fanbase support which they called it destiny yet still known as underrated group. After the disbandment of their fellow lablemate, 5dolls, the focus was put into 8strangers 100%. Just after christmas celebration in 2017, the ever famous Hye Ra not only because she have numbers of celebrity friends with her life consists of parties, fashion shows as well as meeting top stars, she was known to be the korean taylor swift who have flings with different celebrity guys in just a short period, got into the biggest scandal when her past was revealed by an unknown netizen who managed to bring out her past which she was involved in drug and alcohol abused at the aged of 15 back in her hometown after she mixed with wrong group. The news even stated that she was sent to Rehab centre to cure her drugs addiction and was then released only when she was 17/18. Due to the commotion regarding her past, netizens want her out of the group or the whole group disband. For her other members sake, she left the group on her own accord at the beginning of 2018, making the total number of 4 members out of 8strangers. 

Now: After a year hiatus from the industry in the eyes of netizens, she entered unpretty rapstar only to withdrawn before the show start due to personal reason however not long later, she make a comeback surprise when she appears on SMTM8 as the producer along with Jay park. She was invited as producer because she have all this while been working under the stage name #ERA as the record producer even before she move under the roof of Doublekick entertainer along with her best friend, Woo Jiseok after her departure from 8strangers. She have work with several groups from different companies including AOMG which Jay Park have once mentioned his thanks to her for her great work with his first girl group album making the fans wonders in curiousity who actually is #era, unaware that she's the same hye ra once debuted as 8strangers as well the one who's now in smtm8 as the producer. Just recently, early 2020, a rumors spreads about her making a comeback as soloist collaborating with Jay Park when Jay posted a picture of them in a recording studio.
