jang hyunsoo. what to say about this bad boy? he always skips out on class, hacking systems so he'd get good grades and doesn't get kicked out of school because his parents pay for him to stay. only the members of the 'av club' knows about his hacking skills. no one really sees him around but in reality, hyunsoo's always there; watching with glaring eyes. rience will never be found.

'rience' is hyunsoo's codename because when he had started to hack, he was heavily influenced by european history and 'rience' was a big king to deal with; hyunsoo had wanted his name to be intimidating so the name was chosen.

style from a glance, hyunsoo is presentable at all times and is always neat. despite his personality, he takes pride in his style. even when wearing his school uniform, the shirt's neatly tucked in and wrinkly-free; shoes polished and are only faintly scuffed from avoiding the teachers. the only time when hyunsoo ditches the school uniform regulation is when it's winter and he'll wear a white turtle neck under his blazer.

personality
joohee is the perfect poster child. she's innocent and gullible if you choose to use her because johee loves to try and help people. usually people won't do any harm to this girl because she has lots of connections but she's really timid and prefers to find friends through her own; meaning a lot of her friends are mutual friends. johee can also be awkward at times because sometimes, she doesn't know what to say or she'll say something innocent and it would go silent. other than that, johee is extremely forgetful.
their story
kim joohee is a sixteen year old girl who entered jeongjo high late because she missed out on the entry exam to the school. shortly after she was accepted, joohee constantly bumped into hyunsoo time after time, mostly because of her forgetfulness and her curiosity of the boy because of the rumours circling around him and you could say, was attracted to his mysterious presence. because of their numerous encounters, which is rare because hyunsoo would never have let that happen, the boy took interest in the joohee.
once he found her name, it didn't stop him from searching and hacking into everything to get to know her and he blackmailed her into meeting him secretly; posing as a teacher who had concerns about her grades via joohee's school email account. joohee was surprised when she found hyunsoo instead of her teacher and since he knew that joohee had a mild attraction with him, persuaded or in his mind - blackmailed her into becoming his fake girlfriend. at the time, hyunsoo's parents were worried for him because he was due to learn how to take care of their business at the age of twenty and most likely needed a spouse; and so hyunsoo had to find a suitable person to 'marry' because his last option was an arranged marriage.
hyunsoo had to play the part of a romantic boy to make joohee agree happily and it was quite easy to do so. at midnight, he'd take her out to dinners and picnics under the sky - just to try win her heart over so he can get his parent's concern over and done with. once the two began being together, hyunsoo was actually surprised at how easily joohee handled his difficult personality and it disgusted him at how fond he was over the innocent girl. but he grew to enjoy her presence somehow and grew possessive over her. hyunsoo tries hard not to try taint joohee or try to hurt her, because it is easily done so. he wouldn't admit it that he actually fell in love with joohee though, but hyunsoo is like her knight and she's the princess.

more than that. it's more irritating that i already know the truth to this so-called club but i guess it's just to prevent me to spread the word out. i'd snort but this is just inside my head, like i have anyone to spread it to.

no , sherlock and you don't need to be a detective to realise that i already knew before you stupid hacker group briefed me. "you're asking me this question? you still don't understand that i'm pretty 'skilled' to hack into your ty school network to see that this 'club' has been doing other things than 'club activities'. trust me, i've known what your 'club' has been doing for a long, long time."
and even if i did tell you my hacking history, would you just blackmail it for me? this is a pretty good opportunity for it too. but hyunsoo, remember this is ing decode. i sigh and lean back into my chair, "old man jung taught me how to code and hack into things. he was my caretaker and knew i was too smart for my own good - at the time. so how skilled do you think i am?"

i had to think about this one, who was the one who scouted him? it was the maths teacher, the one that i most definitely hated. why in all of my chances, when i was actually in class the teacher came in and pushed him out of class? at least i was in class because it was such an effort. "the maths teacher, mr oh. he didn't scout me though but brought me to sohee. she's cute and all but why the hell is she so vicious to me? i'm technically her senior and i only brought down their network for a short time...what? five hours isn't a short time? what ever you say."

i clucked my tongue and stood up, "like you can find me. just try." the interviewer looked mildly surprised, it's more surprising that they stayed calm throughout the whole interview anyways. to think that they know where i am and keep in touch with me. mr oh was lucky that day; i promised joohee that i'd be in class that day. "just lucky." i muttered, sauntering out of the room.
