appearance » Jinmi is 5'6 (170cm) tall and 52kg (110 pounds). She's not bone skinny and has a curvy body much like Mamamoo's Hwasa(those thighs and booty tho). Jinmi used to have dark brown hair that almost looked black, but she dyed her hair a lighter brown and also dyed the tips of her hair blonde when she was 13. Her cheeks a still a little chubby because of babyfat and has a unique smile. Her eye's would turn into small crescents, and her gummy smile would appear. She has 3 piercings on her left ear, and 2 on her right ear. She's also slightly tan due to living in Hawaii for a few years. It used to be worse, her skin goes back to normal very slowly, but now she's just slightly tan, and gets teased for it sometimes.

 

style » Jinmi dresses casually and smartly, she's not really into fashion. She doesn't mind wearings skirts or shorts because she's able to move around freely in them, but she prefers jeans because it's not that revealing. She likes to dress presentable, professional, and sophisticated. She loves wearing anything plaid, converse, snapbacks, and skinny jeans. Jinmi is very passionate about music, it's literally her LIFE. She can't imagine a life without music and would die without it. She's considerate of others and puts their wants before hers. When making decisions, she thinks about what's best for everyone before making that decision. She can take care of herself and turns in assignments on time. She's never late and if she promises you something, then she promises, and she never breaks her promise. She's a little messy. She doesn't bother folding her clothes and just leaves it laying around. She leaves most of her stuff at random places saying she'll put it away later, and her roomate sometims gets ticked off at her for this. She's also very caring. She makes sure her dongsaengs are doing well and spoils them. If someone isn't feeling well she'll try her best to make them feel better (even though she wouldn't know what to do). Jinmi cares for a lot of people, even if she won't admit it.

 

Though, she's very stubborn. Once she makes a decision, she never goes back on it and she won't listen to anyone. When she's sad, she's usually seen with her head down, refusing to talk to anyone. When she's mad she'll have a menacing glare and have a short temper. If someone messes with her friends, she won't be afraid to stand up to them. She'll become a totally different person. Jinmi is also very awkward. She wont approach anyone on her own will and gets in a lot of awkward situations and doesn't do well when she's left alone with someone. When around someone she's not close to, she stutters and avoids eye contact. Jinmi is secretive, as in she doesn't tell anyone if she has problems, she'll keep them to herself. This makes some people mad when they're just trying to help her, but she won't open up to them. Lastly, she's lonely. Yes she has her friends and family, but she just has an empty feeling inside that she can't describe. She always has a feeling that her friends don't need her around.

 

Since she has trobule expressing herself she expresses herself in her songbook. She writes down all her feelings and thoughts into a song. She doesn't really share her songs with anyone as she's self-concious with them. She carries it around all the time just in case inspiration hits her at the weirdest times.

background » Jinmi was born on December 25th, 1999, on Christmas Day. She is the first born in her family. She loved Hawaii and loved being in the water. She naturally got along with sea creatures such as dolphins and even the sharks. Her mom was a marinologist, which is where she got her love for sea creatures from. Her dad stayed at home and took care of her. After school, when she got home, she would always start writing. It was where her creativity would come to life. When she was 4, her parents hired a private piano teacher. Jinmi loved playing the piano, which eventually led to her love of music. On July 4th, when she was 6, a firework accident happened. She was standing too close to one and it caused hearing damage. She would have to be careful around loud sounds because if she strains her ears too much, she might lose her hearing permanently.

 

That same year, her parents told her that they were moving back to South Korea, there was another baby on the way. She would miss the ocean that was basically in her backyard, but she was excited to live in a new place. They moved to Seoul, South Korea. It was also during that time Jinmi wanted to learn how to play other instruments. Seeing how their daughter loved piano and music, they hired a music teacher that would teach her how to play most instruments. They also gave her a private dance teacher so that she can represent her passion for music in dance moves too. Jinmi's little brother, Jihae was then born. She had one close friend who was loud and outgoing unlike her. His name was Hakyeon. He also liked dancing and played basketball. They became best friends.

 

A year after Jihae was born, her mother was pregnant again. The next brother born was Jieun. Not long after, another brother was born which was Jiyoon, and then a year after, Jieon was born. 2 years later, Jinmi was 10, and yup, more siblings, except this time, it was twins. Jiwoo and Jisoo were soon born. It was also at the age of 10 that Jinmi was starting to express herself through poems and dancing. At this point, she has learned most instruments as she found out she was born with the ability to play by ear. She started to pick up on writing songs, and for her 13th birthday, her parents gave her a laptop and microphone so she could start arranging songs. It was also a year later, the youngest, Jiyoon, was born.

 

When she was 15, she convinced her parents to let her enroll in Kirin Arts High School once she told them her dream. It took a lot of begging but they finally let her enroll. She and Hakyeon auditioned together, and they both got in. Hakyeon debuted soon though, which left Jinmi lonely, but he visited often in his freetime. It's been 1 year since she got enrolled(and she misses her family), and with news of the chance to debut, she's determined to earn that spot

Jinmi is closest to her dad. She goofs around a lot with him and is always laughing around him. They have a close relationship and he gives her advice when she needs it. He's overprotective of her over everything but boys. He's always teasing her when on the phone about any cute guys. Since she's the oldest and the most responsible, he trusts her with a lot of things.

She's a marinologist and is the main reason Jinmi enjoys the sea life so much. She always nags her and pushes her to do good. Was against her decision to go to Kirin at first, but just wants her daughter to be happy. When Jinmi gets a bad grade, she turns into a monster.

The second oldest in the family. He always has headphones in his ears and spends most of his days in his room sleeping. Out of the 7 brothers, he knows Jinmi the most and can read her like a book. Basically the "rebel" in the family. He acts like he doesn't care about a lot of things, but he really does.

Jieun is the second most responsible in their family. Despite being the 3rd oldest, he listens and is obiedient unlike his older brother. He likes helping with cooking and wants to become a chef. He can be really loud and playful at times and is just a ball of sunshine.

The active person in the family. He loves playing sports, especially basketball. Unlike Jinmi, he's good at sports, except swimming. They get into fights sometimes, arguing about the stupidest things like a watermelon, but he's happy she still goes to all his games despite her busy schedule at Kirin. He looks up to his oldest brother Jihae

Jiheon is a little weird, in a good way. He's the mood maker in the family and the one who makes them laugh a lot. He helps with the chores and when his siblings are sad, he makes funny faces to try to cheer them up. He draws a lot and sometimes you can't tell what it is, but at least it's colorful.

Despite being the older twin (by 2 minutes), he's almost exactly like Jinmi, but more timid. He doesn't like interacting with strangers and will cling to his siblings a lot. He basically copies everything Jinmi does, and is always excited when Jinmi comes back to visit from Kirin.

He admires his older brother Jiyoon a lot. He loves exploring new places and wanders off a lot. He's protective of his twin and younger brother. When his twin cries, he cries too. He loves Jiheon and they're partners in crime. He causes most of the trouble in the house.

"Hakyeonie, do you have my strawberry milk?"Hakyeon and Jinmi are really close and is one of the few Jinmi can really open up to and act childish around. He plays basketball and is really athletic. He's a member of Vixx and despite his busy schedules he still makes time to visit his best friend. He jokes aorund a lot and cares for Jinmi. They listen to each other's problems and give advice. Whenever they're together they always have strawberry milk in their hands, he always buys an extra for her. They're protective of each other(esp Hakyeon) and if someone messed with Hakyeon, Jinmi is ready to murder someone. A LOT of people at Kirin believe they're a couple. They're one of the most well known "couples" in school, with people calling them the YeonMi couple, but really, they're like siblings.

They don't argue and they're on good terms, but when it comes to music, both strive to have the better song.  They both admire each other for different reasons in their composing skills but they both won't admit it. Jinmi is also jealous of his legs I mean who isn't.If they weren't so competative and they teamed up, they would probably make one of the best teams ever and their songs would be amazing and magical, but they're just so stubborn.

personality » Where do I even start with this dork. So despite his looks where people assume he's a total player and cocky, he's actually super adorable and acts like a puppy. He's timid and has a personality where he hates losing. He gets really competitive and complains about himself. There are times when he easily loses his temper and he likes cute things. He's kind, gentle, and is quite stubborn. Jimin is trustworthy and works really hard. He'll spend hours in the practice room dancing until late at night until it's perfected. His dancing and singing skills are amazing and he puts his friends and family as his first priority. He's also obsessed with Jungkook

 

 

First meeting » Jinmi and Jimin (I just realized their names are almost the same that was unintentional i swear) first met in the school halls. It was the first day of school and Jinmi was almost late for her class. She suddenly bumped into Jimin, dropping her songbook in the process. Jinmi quickly apologized and started picking up the scattered papers that fell out of the book. Jimin bent down to help and when he met eyes with her, they both froze and blushed. When Jimin gave back the papers he picked up, they were both a stuttering mess.

 

Relationship » After that, they always happened to bump into each other. They learned each other's names and started talking to each other a lot. Jinmi would look avoid looking at Jimin's eyes because if she did she'll start blushing uncontrollably and wouldn't know how to speak. Jimin would tease Jinmi a lot and ruffle her hair. Though, when left alone together they were both really awkward and shy. Despite being closer, most of their conversations and interactions ended up with both of them becoming flustered. They were oh so painfully obvious and everyone could tell so they teased the two a lot.

 

Conclusion » Their friends had planned a way for them to end up together but it all backfired. After that incident Jinmi started to avoid Jimin while he kept trying to talk to her. Jinmi wrote all her feelings about Jimin into a song and composed it but she didn't tell anyone and kept it to herself. Jimin finally managed to talk to her and apologized for the incident and asked why she avoided him because of what happened. The song she wrote was folded into a paper airplane and she threw it at him saying "Because I like you, you idiot" and looking down. He said he liked her too and they began dating.
