something to think about.

"Don't idolize people. They're just people who worked hard to get to where they want to be."

I don't know why particularly, but I heard this recently and it really struck me. Maybe it's because I've been having a horrible past month where I can't get myself motivated to do anything. Maybe it's because I never think I'm good enough and always have to be more.

I think we underestimate ourselves a lot. Underestimate, not being humble. And as a result we always ask ourselves, "Can I really do something like this?" before we do it, and doubt everything too much. When we don't see results, we get discouraged. And that's okay - there's nothing wrong with that. What's wrong is thinking, "Oh, I'll never be like this person or that person, I'll never be as good as others." Comparing ourselves to others and only focusing on what we think we're "lacking."

In the end, I don't think any of us are "lacking." We're growing every day and even if you can't see those results because you're always looking at yourself every day, maybe a few months, a year, three years later, you'll realize that you've come so far. We each grow at our own pace - some faster than others, some slower, but that makes you who you are and you are beautiful.

I don't really know why I felt the need to say this. I think it's important to remember these things every once in a while, no matter how cliche or cheesy they seem. Even if you don't believe in this, just know that you are lovely and loved
