background : jiyeon was born into a family of six; her parents, two sisters and the eldest twin brothers. although her family was mostly equal to genders, she grew up looking up to her father rather than her mother unlike her sisters and brothers making her grow fairly childish. but as jiyeon grew older, her sisters grew on her and she became more feminine as opposed to when she was around five years of age. although her fashion didn't change at the slightest, her behaviour and personality had changed.
from a young age, jiyeon's father was a teacher and was very strict about education. since jiyeon got lots of scoldings because she didn't complete homework on time, her father may have scared her unintentionally while ranting. something against the lines of, "jiyeon you're lacking at school! and if you have no education you have no job. no job equals no money. no money means no house and you'll end up on the streets like a crazy cat woman!" yeah, no wonder a ten year old jiyeon would get scared of that plus a fear of cats. thanks a lot father.

persona ji the ori! - it's self explanatory because of her duck nickname so she stuck with that. also because a duck is generally fast and kind of dumb to be honest.

TRAINEE life jiyeon really struggled to balance out her trainee life because she was never really organised in the first place. she was often late to practice and had trouble remembering steps. it was either her training that was missed, school or precious sleeping time. jiyeon usually goes to the classrooms in the company building to study for school if she didn't have time to at home and sometimes stayed overnight to only be scolded by the company workers and her father. after half a year of training at jellyfish, her vocal trainers discovered something that affected her singing greatly. her singing technique had changed considerably but had gone for the worst and it was very breathy and she had to gasp a lot to sing because she was used to doing it for rapping. over the two years, jiyeon's training doubled so she can change her vocal techniques for the b

[ 2016 / after debut ] girl's republic's jiji passed school while flunking? anonymous sources states that jiji has been slacking off from school but has graduated highschool with high marks because of that fact her father is the headmaster? false - due to the fact that jiyeon's father is the headmaster and that she was slacking off in class, her father made her take extra classes unknown to the rest of the students. the real reason jiyeon had been slacking off was because of tight schedules with her vocal training regimen.
