❀ Ji - Just a simple shortening of her name. Most of the members, her family and her friends call her this. They usually alternate between this nickname and Yoonji.
❀ Chatterbox - Yoonji talks non-stop, with no filter. Some say that this is her charm, others say that it's her downfall, because as it makes her 'less attractive'. She doesn't really seem to mind this nickname, because she makes no effort to change her habit.

HOMETOWN : Yoonji was born in Busan and spent her first two years of her life living there, however, she does not recall much from this city. Soon after her second birthday, their family made their move to the city of Incheon since her father got a new, well-paying job. She had been living there with her family until she got accepted into an entertainment company, thus considering Incheon her hometown.

LANGUAGES :
❀ Korean - Korean is Yoonji's mother tongue, thus having fluent spoken Korean. Regardless, she was never really good at the subject in school. She is terrible with Hanja and absolutely loves King Sejong the Great for creating Hangul.
❀ English - Yoonji started learning English at elementary school and can understand more than she can speak. She is embarrassed about her ability, and avoids speaking the language if she can. Her level of English stops at the Korean middle school curriculum.
❀ Japanese - The only other language Yoonji is slightly proficient in is Japanese. She started learning the language when she entered YG, so if they ever wanted her to break into the Japanese market, she would be able to. She is able to hold a simple coversation, but she doesn't understand more complex sentences.

Yoonji is the type of person who cannot stay still for long. On her days off, she prefers to go out, dragging as many of the other members with her as possible. She cannot stand being alone and has a need to be in the company of others. She makes friends really easily, although there are few that she considers herself really close to. She is always on the mission to make those around her feel more comfortable. Aegyo also comes easily to her, however, it comes so easily that the members automatically cringe whenever they hear it coming from her direction; 95% of the time, it does not work.

Her members often joke that she should not to talk because she immediately loses her 'cool' image that she usually carries when she's working. This is usually because she does not think before she speaks and also acts like a dork once she's off stage. People that know her understand that she does not have a filter for her words and that she just says whatever is on her mind. As such, she can come off as rude when she's in a bad mood, even if she doesn't intend to be. In addition, she can be very inconsiderate when it comes to sensitive issues. She does not know how to judge whether the situation is appropriate or not. However, when it comes to talking to those significantly older, people she has just met and the people she is working with (excluding her members), she will be on her best behaviour.

She is always open to trying new things, however, that doesn't mean she'll ever stick to these things. Being as fickle as she is, she struggles to stay dedicated, particularly with things she does not enjoy. She has tried to pick up a lot of different hobbies, however, singing, dancing and modeling are the only major things she has stuck to. She is the type to go with the flow of things and hardly makes decisions by herself. She heavily relies on the advice of others.
 

BACKGROUND : Yoonji never thought she would ever walk down the path to fame, in fact, she never really knew what she wanted to do in the future at all. She was never studious and she couldn't really picture herself doing anything in particular. The only thing she knew was that she enjoyed her music classes (singing), dressing up (fashion) and taking photos.

It wasn't until her early middle school years that she started to address her interests, even if it was just as a hobby. She opened up a blog and became an aspiring ulzzang, gaining a significant following after two years, at the age of 16. She started modelling for online stores at this age and found herself enjoying it a lot. Her mother was concerned with her choices, but she was happy that she finally found something that she enjoyed.

A few months after she turned 17, she saw that there was to be a local fashion pageant (the talent she showcased was singing) and entered with no expectations (it was her first attempt at modelling outside of a camera). Although she didn't win, to her luck, she was scouted out by a YG representative to become a professional model. Intrigued to receive an offer and perplexed about other possible future career paths, she agreed and contacted them back after talking to her parents about the opportunity; her father extremely supportive, but her mother, skeptical. At this point, she attended an audition at YG and was officially accepted. She stopped writing her blog after she moved to Seoul (as requested by YG) to receive her training (Additional information in her trainee years).

TRIVIA :
- She never got proper lessons for singing until she got into YG Entertainment (she only had her music class in school)
- She only barely passed each class in school (all subjects except, music which she excelled) and had no intention of attending a university.
- She loves playing around, particularly in the practice room (she is one of the mood makers)
- She is an 'instagram-aholic' - she cannot go a day without checking it. She will also update it whenever she can.
- She loves listening to hip-hop music but she's hopeless at rap

They both like similar foods, movies, sports and everything of the like. Kyungmo treasures Yoonji a lot and spoils her whenever he gets a bonus from work. She is very affectionate with her father and uses a higher pitched tone to talk to him (aegyo). He is one of the 5% of people that falls for her aegyo unconditionally.

She was the one who ultimately decided to make the move to Incheon. She is strict when it comes to parenting her children. However, that is only because she wants the best for her children. She never explicitly shows her anger and happiness, making her extremely hard to read. She is not very affectionate with Yoonji, hence she does not feel that close to each other.

However, when they do, they bicker as siblings do.
She was the one who convinced Yoonji to take up the offer given by YG Entertainment.

PERSONALITY : The first impression people get when they first meet Myungsoo is that he is too good to be true. Handsome, charming and kind? Well, after getting to know him for a while, they soon find out that he's actually a major dork who has a terrible sense of humour. He will often tell bad jokes, gaining no reactions back from s. Similar to Yoonji, s tell him to stay quiet and mysterious, so that he appears more handsome. However, those who know him very well consider the other side of his personality to be his true charm.

He will often slip in a few cheesy lines and pick up lines when he makes conversation (regardless of gender), thus appearing as a romantic. As such, he has the ability to make the hearts of females' (and males' too) flutter. Those close to him will take these words as a joke and consider them to be insincere. He is very confident about his looks and is very obvious about this, thus being incredibly vain. This is reflected in many of his words and actions.

Although clumsy, he is always very determined and will work extremely hard to get what he wants (other than when it comes to his love interests). When he does, he appears very capable and will make sure to hear praise from those around him.

  

HISTORY : Under YG Entertainment's influence, Yoonji was able to audition and was also considered to take part in the drama, 'Shut Up Flower Boy Band' to be aired on cable channel, tvN. She was to play the role as Myungsoo's character's love interest, which singer Lim Kim eventually took, as she was dropped at the last minute. The reason why she was dropped was because she was still an inexperienced trainee who would not have made much of an impact, compared to an established singer.
However, before she was dropped, she was made familiar with most of the cast and crew. The casting director asked for the two (Yoonji and Myungsoo) to act out a few scenes together to finalise his decision. Myungsoo knew that she was a rookie, so he did his best to make sure she felt comfortable, leading her so that she would be able to act to her full potential. The casting director noticed their chemistry, however, ultimately, they could not afford to cast a rookie.
After their session, he spoke to her for a few moments, with his usual nonchalant advances (pick up lines), successfully making her heart flutter. However, she brushed them off as insincere after considering his seniority. She told him to stop the antics because he was an idol who had an image to maintain. He simply laughed at her words, before he was told to leave for his next schedule by his manager. He said a simple goodbye and left the girl. She didn't know what he thought of her; probably someone of no significance; but she couldn't get him out of her mind for the next few weeks. Nevertheless, she was resigned herself to the fact that she was a nobody who had no chance to even become friends with him, particularly after losing the casting opportunity.

After their last encounter, they did not see each other for a year. She was able to pick up a modelling job in her final year at YG and did a small photoshoot with Myungsoo. The casting director knew the person who was directing the photoshoot and recommended the two as they had great chemistry. Perhaps it was fate that they got a job together again, perhaps not. However, this experience definitely felt surreal and like it was meant to be to Yoonji. Determined to reach a different conclusion to their last meeting, she simply blurted out and asked for his contact number at the end of the photoshoot, to which he agreed with a smile. 

"I'll see you later" was the last words she heard from him on that day. They have been keeping in regular contact ever since.

INTERACTIONS : Yoonji talks very casually with Myungsoo and teases him often. She refuses to let him have the pleasure of her calling him 'handsome' or anything of the like. She finds it difficult to compliment him and also difficult coming to terms with how she feels for him. She does her best to act naturally around him, but on occasion, she can't help but fall more for him (she will get shy/embarassed + attempt to steer the topic into something different).

On the other hand, Myungsoo talks to Yoonji like she's a princess, although that isn't unique to her. What is unique though, is his constant requests for menial things (ie. getting him a tissue, to give him a compliment, etc.). However, his requests are so constant that she starts getting annoyed at him. Although he uses pick up lines on a regular basis, he is never completely direct/sincere about his feelings and needs a push from those around him to make a move.

CURRENT RELATIONSHIP : Yoonji and Myungsoo are just close friends who talk often and tease each other. She  has started noticing that her heart starts beating faster when he stares at her or when he's making sincere compliments, however, they both consider their jobs more important than anything else at the moment. She is not sure whether he has similar feelings.
