I agree with emmetropia. And there is this whole 'if you don't like it don't read it thing' but unlike aff, youtube don't have a restriction thing for comments. On aff you can put trigger warnings, lock your fics to subs only etc if there's content not suitable for under 18s, so I'm quite sure fanfiction is fine. Comments on youtube are public though unless the uploader chooses to turn commenting off, and we have to keep in mind that there are a lot of minors. I remember bts were on billboard and performed i need u, and all the top comments were about what was going on in jungkook's pants and all these ual comments, so many to the point it was ridiculous, I really hope bts didn't read those comments. I just wanted to reply in cap locks to them to leave the poor boy alone. That's like multiple people pointing out to a girl that they have a red stain showing through, and pointing out to a guy they have a isn't that different. I'd be embarrassed.

As far as I know, there was this comment on one of their new bangtan bombs (the one with jungkook brushing his teeth?) written by a korean fan who went to a fan sign. She said that she asked suga if they read comments on their videos and he said that they did but then stopped because of the amount of "inappropriate" and "vulgar" comments. The K-army was respectful in her comment and said that she tries to respect international fans and understands that not all of us are like that. That was a top comment and has come to the attention of the fanbase. I was on instagram and there were loads of fans apologising to bts on their official account. There wasn't really anything about fanfiction (whether itms or not). There's a difference with writing fanfiction and then commenting things that are directly on bts' official youtube. I doubt the boys go on aff anyway if you know what I mean

And although not all fans are like this, and the occasional dirty joke is funny, I have to agree that some take it way too far and overualise them. Yes we have our fantasies, but we need to respect the boys as well. I found it sad how they had to stop reading our comments because of something like that. I'm glad it's getting better though.
