James has a tsundere personality, he likes to tease his friends a lot and ignore them but when it comes to his love interest he'll start acting shy and he'd blush a lot around him which could make his friends because he looks like a high school girl in love. he'll try to cover his shyness by saying weird stuff that doesn't make a damn sense or he'll try to act cold to his love interest But of course, he fails miserably at that. james is really sharp he could notice really small details and if the person in front of him is lying by his body language (which could help him a lot) he doesn't even fall for any prank before because he always notice the small things (and weird things) others do unconsciously that will make him know that people around him are lying but sometimes he'd just play along with the prank acting as if he's unaware of the prank. also, he is very loyal to his friends and value friendship, trust and promise. he will not hesitate to help any friend in need. you break the trust, you can already kiss your goodbye.
Most of the time, JAMES has a cold and expressionless look on his face, claiming for it to look "cool/chic" but it did give him an unapproachable vibe, when someone comes up to him, not much people try to befriend him because they're scared of him but when they try to talk to him they always expect for him to barely pay them any attention, and they're kinda right. james doesn't mean to scare anyone, but it's just that he doesn't know how to show his emotions well which lead him to put expressionless face most of the time. But actually JAMES isn't scary at all (Well, expect if you tried to piss him off), once you get to know him you'll find that he's actually just trying to act cold because he doesn't trust others easily plus he feels kinda shy about showing his feelings around other people. JAMES makes a lot of sarcastic comments when he's annoyed or angry which earn him his nickname, 'Mr. Sarcastic', so It's easy to know when james is annoyed when he start saying a lot of sarcastic stuff though he'd still say sarcastic comments even when he isn't annoyed but he'll just say it for his own fun.
James lee zhangwei was born on the 12th of november, 1994 in kuala lumpur, malaysia to lee zhongwei, a chinese news reporter and samantha lee, a malay-chinese nurse. His family was well-of, they weren't rich or poor, just average. When he was five, his parents adopted a seven-year-old girl named AMANDA. She was very shy at first, but THE COLD LOOKING JAMES was there to save the day, and they became quite close. They never distanced, even after their parents seperated, amanda with their father, and james with their mother.when he was 11, a new foreign boy moved into the house next to him- kim mingguk. They became quite close quickly, and mingguk ever infected james with his love for dancing. In no time, both of them went on to join a famous boy dance crew and was already dancing his hearts out. they bond a lot through there interest in DANCING AND SPORTS.
IN school, he always stuck HIMSELF toMINGGUK and AMANDA. although he is one of the most good looking students of the school, No one really wanted to be friends with him because OF HIS COLD LOOKING OUTER APPEARANCE, MAKING A LOT OF PEOPLE TO BE AFRAID OF HIM, EARNING HIM THE NICKNAME, "THE HANDSOME ICE PRINCE". He tried not to mind, though, because he had his sister and best friend, no one else mattered. SINCE he was young, JAMES ALWAYS HAS ALWAYS GIVEN PEOPLE (FAMILY MEMBER OR NOT) THE COLD FACE AND RARELY SMILES, ONLY DOING SO WHEN HE WAS FORCED TO BY HIS PARENTS OR FRIENDS, so really, he was doomed. Dancing was his only savior, and it was all he needed. WHEN HE WAS 13, BOTH HIS PARENTS BEGAN TO FIGHT aND DIVORCE ON THE SAME YEAR.JAMES and MINGGUK really became close due to that, especially since his sister left to the other side of MALAYSIA with their father while he stayed with their mother. Since then, he and his father haven't spoken, but he's still seriously close to AMANDA. HIS LIFE WAS NORMAL UNTIL THEN ON, UNTIL ONE DAY. AFTER BEING ENCOURAGED BY HIS SIstER, BOTH JAMES AND MINGGUK WENT TO AUDITION FOR JYP ENTERTAINMENT WHEN HE WAS 15. WHILE BOTH OF THEM MADE IT INTO THE FINAL ROUND, IT WAS JAMES WHO WON THE BATTLE AND WENT ON TO BECOME A TRAINEE OF JYP. MINGGUK WASN'T JEALOUS AND ANGRY AT JAMES, BUT HAPPY FOR HIM HAS PROMISE TO FOReVER SUPPORT HIM SHOULD HE HAVE EVER DEBUT AS AN IDOL. he moved to south korea along with mingguk's family when he was 16 and that's where the story starts.
