APPEARANCE » She’s skinniest one in group—42 kg (and is still working on her ‘ideal weight’) and the tallest one (168 cm). She has pitch-black big doe-eyes, long natural eyelashes, wavy long brown hair, dimples and pearl-white teeth arranged perfectly inside her chubby rosy lips but she never proud of her looks. She is afraid to show to people and for this; her beauty is hardly recognize compared her other members.

 

STYLE » Hana loves to let her long hair down or sometimes just tie it with a colourful hairband. But when she's focusing in something—let's say, practising dance—she'd style up her hair into a messy bun. She prefers dresses up as herself—simple but comfortable. Growing up in Brooklyn half her life, she wears shorts and jeans most of the time and a lot of different kind of tops—blouse, t-shirts, turtle-necks, tunic tops, tank tops—you name it. But Hana's most comfortable wearig oversized long-sleeves or baggy shirts everywhere she goes. Not to mention, dark colors are her favorites although she often heard that her slightly dark skin looks better with warm colors.

“There’s nothing interesting in me except my spontaneous self, well, if you DO find that interesting.”

On-stage, Hana is the humble, cheerful, friendly and enthusiastic person in the group. The ability to make jokes and being spontaneously funny made her easily likeable among the MCs and viewers. She speaks wisely when she needs to; pretty smart when choosing words to sugarcoat something on TVs. She does this whenever she felt like the situation is getting awkward or tense and always thanked by their leader and managers for her smart mouth. The eighteen years old never lies, though—she just said the truth in a beautiful way. 

 

Hana is so grateful for GALAXY and she loves to capture wonderful moments they shared. Her skills in photography might , but she loves taking pictures of wonderful moments in her life. She values her fans the most because she felt like they're the reason why she still wants to pursue her dream to become an idol. This explains most of the time why she would arrives late in their events that involve fans. She once got warned by their manager to be left behind if she’s the last to get into their vehicles. Her tears are always easiest to fall if she heard some touching stories of her fans and she is never tired of thanking them after every event they had together.

 

As time passes, she is still the same girl who’s lovable by viewers but her sassiness at time like the heated arguments in varieties shows showed that there is a side of her that is still enjoyable by all.

On-screen or not, she’s still the same happy-go-lucky person around people. Her life goal is to live happily for the rest of her life, no matter how hard life hits her. Optimistic is one of the traits she has since birth. Yes, she's that person who sees glass half-full and always sees positive sides of something bad. Hana always believe life works that way even in her twilight days.

 

Her favorite show as a teenage is The Oprah Winfrey Show and ever since she's young, she's inspired to be like her. she loves hearing out people's problems and she will try her best to solve it in the best way possible. Hana loves being someone who can be trusted. She loves it when people asks for her advices and wants herself to be able to inspire people to live better. Trying to fix the problems always got her into troubles and gets her hated, but she never understands that some things are better off be as it is. 

 

She’s concerned on her members who mostly seems like they had problems weighing their minds. It would be her biggest pleasure if the members share their problems with her (although she will never tell hers to them). 

 

She’d nag when one of them doesn’t eat yet; she’d run miles to buy medicines and take a good care of any sick members; she’d stands up to their managers if any of the members are accused for something they did not do. She cares for them way more than she should which brings slight annoyance sometimes.

The main reason she is so carefree like this is because of her past that she ever mention to anyone.

 

It does destroys her sometimes, too, thinking people hates her, calling her ‘busy body’ for how she is, but she waves away the thoughts and manage to smile again. She believes everyone in this world needs someone to lean on, and she would love to be that person to her friends and members anytime eventhough it hurts her.

Growing up with a short-tempered dad, she was used to come home from school hearing cursing words. Although she is as patient as an ox, she does curse a lot when she lost her cool. The cursing habit of hers became worse when she’s into various youtubers that curses in their videos. It’s really hard to see her angry since she always prefer to be mute and bottle up her feelings most of the time instead of showing it. When she cried out of anger, the reason must be hurting her a lot because she’s hardly a crybaby off-stage.

 

Other than that, she nags a lot to her members, even to her unnies when they are not doing what they are supposed to do. She can be lazy too and when she does, nothing could stop her from sleeping 10 hours straight or do nothing but watch movies all days in her room.

 

Hana can be naïve too, sometimes (this is what people assume). Once the manager told her to walk herself home if she’s five minutes late to get into their van to go home after their performance at M! Countdown and guess what? She did. First words she said when she got home later were ‘Sorry I’m late. Are you guys hungry?’ with her hands full of food she bought from McDonald’s. She felt like she was not being responsible and felt challenged to do something drastic to in exchange for forgiveness (and this the truth; she is mad at their manager for scolding her).

 

She never started first when regarding romance. Her belief that 'no woman should start making the first step' is also believed as the reason why she ditch the hottest guy in her high school that was said to be her secret admire.

Despites the merry side of her, Hana holds grudge and it’s hard for her to forgive someone when she wants to. But before that, she’d gives a lot of second chances, and let herself hurt pretty bad before she went ‘ this; I won’t care anymore!’. And please note that when this woman decided not to care, she’d never care anymore even if you die.

 

The main causes of this are because 1) she easily trust people 2) she expect too much of them and 3) her ego is higher than the Burj Khalifa when it comes to people who do her bad.

 

Things happened back then with his brother, Taemin—who is now a big star in SHINee—made her learnt a lot about second chances. But being full of love she is, it’s hard for her not to trust someone and kept giving chances although to people who doesn’t deserve it. So far, she only doesn’t forgive her only sibling to see how much he would do for her forgiveness.

 

"What's the point of telling if it only made you worry...?"

 

Eighteen years of her life, she barely found a real friend. She only had three trustable friends that she fully being herself around. Despite being so open-minded, Hana always find herself wearing a mask whenever she's sad—she'd never let anyone know if something's bothering her. The negative side of her, in her opinion, should be well-hidden from people's eyes. Why? Because although she trusts a lot, she's also afraid of being hurt. If her happy-go-lucky side can makes someone despises her, what about the dark side she's hiding?

 

She's also a bit traumatized by the hates she gained when she's in middle school. So hiding her full-of-flaw side, to her, is the best decision to do for the rest of time ahead her. She just going to befriend people without letting anyone truly see and understand her.

BACKGROUND » 

 

Lee Hana was born to Lee Haebin and Han Kyungsoon in the early year of 1997 after their first son Lee Taesun (7 years old) and second—supposed to be last child—son, Lee Taemin (5 years old) were born. Her father previously work as a teacher in an high school in New York and her mother was a housewife. Their life was average and happy before Hana was born but then things happened.

 

Hana never know what was it, but their family had quite a big financial problem and her parents fought a lot. She remembered seeing her father punching a mirror in the middle of a fight with mom before they both bursted out crying in each others' arms. When she asked her two brothers why, they'd say 'Because your existence took a lot of dad's money'.

 

She started to believe it's true when they had to move to Dongbong-gu, Seoul—leaving behind both of her parents' most favorite place in the world and her own beloved hometown. Hana was ten when they moved out. Her dad was busy working and mom? She spoiled the two sons too much until sometimes Hana felt like she doesn't love her. But later in life she learnt that her mom did that to discipline her as she's the only daughter in family.

 

Their life apparently gets better and although Hana fought a lot with her brothers for silly things, she still loves them immensely. Her two brothers would only play with each other and ignored her. She always felt the need to improve herself so her brothers would play with her. She felt like she needed to stand by their level for them to respect and befriend her (the reason she's a soccer Goddess).

 

This was also the reason she was into dancing. Taesun was in his school's dance club and he did well as a president during his last year of high school. He won a lot of dancing competition and his dance moves were highly appreciated by their family, especially by Taemin as the boy always respected and looked up to their eldest sibling. A few years after that, Taemin, as expected, learnt how to dance. He went to talent camps every holiday for two years together with Taesun. Taemin then discovered his talent in both dancing and singing. Neglecting his childhood dream which was to be a pilot, Taemin went for auditions to be an idol. He got accepted when he was twelve and started training then.

 

Hana was unconciously into dancing as well. After a lot of trials to impress her brothers, her daily dance practices eventually made her fell in love with the idea of being an idol as well (since she could sings and raps expertly). Taemin was not impress when he found out about her idea.

 

"Why would you always do what I want to do?"

 

"Not this time, oppa... I'm in love with dancing out of my own will and... you knew I'm a great singer too, right?"

 

"Tch. Goodluck being an idol with that fat body and ugly face of yours then!"

 

After Taemin found out, the two's relationship became worse. Taemin would not even look at her. Hana was undoubtedly overweight when she was in middle school but she never really mind it. Taemin, who was a hotstuff in his senior year of middle school started the mocking of her looks and weights. It later became a big issue; she was bullied and hated for her awkwardness around people. She endured it though, but every nights before school, she would cry to sleep—blaming her existence.

 

She never have a heart to hate Taemin until that one terrifying and fateful day of her life. She was cornered by seven girls and got hit and kicked whenever she tried to talk back. She was unconcious for the whole evening. What haunted her mind before everything went black was the fact that Taemin just passed by her with his girlfriend when the seven satans started slapping while throwing cruel words at her. She swore to never forgive him for that.

 

Taemin got debuted as the vocalist and main dancer of SHINee under SM Entertainment the next year and rarely came home because of his tight training schedule. Hana would try her best to avoid both Taesu, who went into a boarding high-school and Taemin. She locked herself in her room most of the time and without anyone realising, purposely became anorexic and drastically lost few kilograms every months. She promised herself to stop, but it is hard to shake the habit after practising it for years. Sure she was depressed and unhealthy, but having 24/7-busy parents and as$holes as her brothers, she could not lean on anyone but herself.

 

She re-build herself again for her dream to dance and sing in front of crowds and promise to become a new Lee Hana. She auditioned at various entertainment agencies in Korea including the 'The Big Three' when she was fifteen. She was mostly accepted as trainee though, even at SM Entertainment where her estrange brother work at. She thought that maybe for her new looks that she got accepted there (as said by many), but her heart was telling her to choose JYP Entertainment instead. She decided that she wanted to prove to Taemin that looks aren't everything and show that no, he is not the best and he never deserve to be.

 

 

FAMILY » 

 

♢Father: Lee Haebin — 49 years old, short-tempered, soft-hearted, funny, ambitious, decicated. Haebin always wants the best for his children. When he was blessed with Hana unexpectedly, he was really happy. He works overtime just to earn more money in order to support his family. But little did he knew that when he's too busy making their life better, he also is destroying them for the lack of time he had for them. He thought moving into somewhere was the best to restart a new life as a better father, but he was wrong. He became more busier than ever when he got promoted at his new workplace in Dongbong-gu.

 

♢Mother: Han Kyungsoon — 45 years old, strict, loving, oblivious, egoist, patient, old-fashioned minded. Kyungsoon is an amazing woman in Hana's eyes because after they moved, she still can be a good mother (cook, clean, spoiling her boys) while working as an office clerk. She loves Hana, but in her opinion, girls like her only daughter should be doing house chores, get a decent work and grow up as a fine lady, not as an idol. That's the reason why she's strongly opposed of Hana following her brother, Taemin's footsteps.

 

♢Oldest brother: Lee Taesun — 24 years old, caring, charismatic, smart, patient, oblivius, funny, thoughtful, decicated. Taesun remembered spoiling Taemin a lot when they were younger while totally neglecting Hana. He began to felt guilty seeing how far Hana had changed after he graduated school. He missed messing around with her with Taemin's help and he wants to be a better brother to her. He apologized to Hana and dragged Taemin to do the same. After learning why Hana hates Taemin so much, he was, of course, siding with Hana. He felt like he failed as a brother and was resposible for the new Lee Hana. He persuaded Taemin to sincerely apologize to her. 

 

♢Older Brother: Lee Taemin — 22 years old, handsome, childish, ambitious, hard-working, selfish, egoist, appreciative, protective. Taemin started to think about his little sister when he saw how unhealthy she is. He felt always felt guilty about what happened to Hana on his senior year. He sometimes have a nightmare about it and wished to travel time just to save her sister that time. During his trainee years, he thought a lot about how much a jerk he was to Hana but being egoist as he is, he never apologize or anything. He's secretly proud of Hana's achievements and wants her to seize the limelight she long deserved. He also secretly try to find her sasaeng for her safety and got mad when he heard people bad-mouthing GALAXY.

♢Zelo (B.A.P) — 19 years old, shy, caring, protective, childish, rivalry, clingy, decicated. Zelo, or friendly-addressed as 'Jun' by Hana, was Hana's penpal eversince she was in elementary school in NY. They met in once in NY when he was having a vacation with his family and Hana was skillfully playing football with some boys nearby their hotel. He was impressed and he went straight up to her, giving her his hometown address written in a piece of paper. He was shy to say anything but 'I'm J-Jun... I hope  we can be friends' and left her confused. She started sending her letters the next year and they stayed connected like that. He was the most excited when Hana moved into Korea. Although his hometown was far from her home and his tight training schedule for his debut, he rode a bus and took her around Seoul for her 14th birthday. He cared for her a lot and he's the first person seen the worst side of her.

 

 

 

 

 

 

    

 

 

 

♢Vernon (SEVENTEEN) — 17 years old, playful, hard-working, awkward at times, dorky, silly, protective, big-eater, futuristic. Vernon or Hansol, was Hana's closest friend and neighbours she had in NY. They used to celebrate Hana's late birthday and his early birthday together on 6th/7th February in Vernons' house tree by themselves. They play football together and he always thought that Hana was a boy. Seeing Hana all grown up and beautiful when he came to Korea, he felt a slight crush on her. But he had to shake it off and ignore it as he's focusing on his career as a SEVENTEEN members under Pledis Entertainment. When he saw how Hana was hurting about Yongguk, he decided to stop denying his feelings for her and step into the competition against one of Korea's rappers that he respected the most.

 

♢Kim Kyunjoo (oc) — 19 years old, quiet, awkward, innocent, crybaby, caring, thoughtful, generous, jealous-freak. Zelo's crush and Hana's closest female friends after GALAXY. She had to do all the match-making stuffs and practically push them to each other in order to make them confess. She's good in femine stuffs especially fashion and had helped Hana a lot with her skills whenever Hana's visiting B.AP's studio.

 

◆Ji Ahyoung/Ringo Jay (SWALLOWTAIL) — Yongguk's ex-girlfriend in high school. She is still not over him and always trying to seduce him back. The rumor about him and Yongguk was a part of her plans to make Yongguk notice her love for him again. She's super duper furious when she heard about Hana and her 'man' but silently create a plan to win him from her.

PERSONALITY » 
 

✧ If someone was to ask Hana about what he's like off-screen, she'd say a 'goofy gorilla'. Why? Because Yongguk always wanted people to see him as a brusque, strong and fierce lead of his 'pack' (B.A.P) but underneath that scary image he put on is some goofy and silly 25 years old that enjoyed anime, theme parks and joking around with s as his hobbies. Sure, he can be scary at times (when he's too angry or upset) but most of the time he's the laid-back dad in B.A.P family.

 

✧He cares a lot for s. Unlike Himchan who chooses to ask, he would just silently observes s and if something was unusual about them, he'd pointed it out as a joke. This is a first sign that he's going to 'investigate' deeper on the problem and 'solve' it. He puts family as his main priority next to B.A.P and BABY.

 

✧ 'Egoistic bastard' is his sister nickname for him. He has so many pride and would not lower his ego unless 1) it's for B.A.P and 2) it's really important. He grew up believing that he has the highest ego as a person, but he was proved wrong when he met Hana. So far, Hana is the second person who he had cut his ego and says 'sorry' to (first was Mrs. Bang). But being with B.A.P as the leader, he slowly decrease his ego level for everyone's sake.

 

✧ He could easily forgive and forget someone when they hurt him. But he would take forever to spare someone his knuckle if love ones are involved.

 

✧ He loves children and his wildest dream is to build a prestigious school for homeless and orphanages children one day. He's not good with babies, though, no matter how stupid he could be seen trying to cheer them up.

 

✧ A jealous-freak—easily envied someone's successfulness. He will later gives his best trying to achieve his own success. He was so pissed off when Hana preferred Zelo's rapping than his. Why? Because he's the best rapper in B.A.P—that's what he said—before a mini competition between him and Zelo with Himchan, Daehyun, Youngjae and Jongup cheering in the background.

LOVE STORY » 

 

"Are you Junhong's gf?" was the first words uttered by Yongguk when he first saw Hana walking behind Zelo into their studio, leaving both her and Zelo blinking in confusion later on. Before Hana could even say anything to him, the whole B.A.P members cracked into laughters and applausing, all eyes looking at her and Zelo as if they were celebrating them. Even Yongguk who was staring intensely at her just now was grinning, casually ruffling her hair. He later joined the chaos later with a loud "Our maknae finally has a girl!" that got their manager  who heard from the other room panicked.

 

Since Hana is the only best friend Zelo has that share the same liking and hobby, the older always try to drag her to hangout with him. 2014 is the year where the clingy boy (literally) begged her the most to hangout with him. He told her that when she debut the year after that, they won't be able to spend time as frequent as before, (or maybe none at all) because she's going to be busy and rumors might start between them if they were seen together. So Hana, who never know how to say 'no' to Zelo's aegyo, agreed to make time for him and hang out as much as they could. The first time Zelo dragged her into B.A.P's studio, Hana was stunned.

 

She was so lost staring at the figure standing across the room that Zelo had to pull her in by the hand after he tried calling her for numerous times. She was embarassed at Zelo's bold action (yes, she blushed because she's a NBSB that never hold hands with guys before) and when she looked up from their interwined hands, the mesmerizing figure was already standing in front of Zelo and her. It was Bang Yongguk—her new dilemma.

 

"What did you tell your hyungs about me again, Jun-ah?"

 

"Well... nothing, actually."

 

"B-but they said I'm your-"

 

"Ah, I told them that I like a girl before. They must assumed that it's you. Don't worry, I'll explain to them the truth later since you're so uncomfortable about it."

 

"I'm not-"

 

"And don't worry. I'm sure Yongguk hyung can like you more than a friend's friend of his"

 

"WHAT?! HOW-"

 

Eversince the first time she met and talked to Yongguk (even it was awkward), she couldn't get him out of her mind. She became a frequent visitor at B.A.P's studio after that just to see him around. Eventually, Zelo noticed this and Hana had no chance but to tell him (since she's not good at lying) and asked her to tell her more about him. From what Zelo told her so far, he couldn't be more perfect.

 

Hana and B.A.P months later became closer. She'd sometimes prepared them lunch-boxes and treated them drinks. Yongguk and her of course become closer (although he was treating her more like a little sister) and they fought a lot on silly things for unknown reasons. Hana would just simply wiped Zelo's lips after meal like she always do and Yongguk would pointed out that she's being a sly fox—seducing his maknae without having feelings for him and there we go; Hana and Yongguk bickering like there's no tomorrow. Himchan and Youngjae would say that they're acting like a noisy married couple and sent Hana blushing and talking nonsense about how she rather date a gorilla than Yongguk (or vice versa). The funny thing was, Hana always compares Yongguk to a gorilla when she talks about him to her members. And she seems to like it.

 

Through their time together, she learnt a lot Yongguk. They have so many in common and differences as well. But their differences are those kind of what she can accept. Her flaws are filled by his perfection and it's crazy how they could be close and understand each other deeply. Hana likes to think that they were made to complete each other.

 

Her crush for him develops even more than before. It became some sort of first love, in Hana's head and she had a hard time denying it. She doesn't want Yongguk to know about her feelings because their chances being lovers are fat. And she rather has him as a friend than to lose him in total. Besides, Yongguk never shows any hint about liking her.

 

It was a break after their hectic debut when she, out of the blue, fell on her knees in GALAXY's recording studio, tears dropping one by one after she read about Yongguk's scandal. She knew that her heart was still for him. So she tried to make herself busy to stop thinking about him; to stop liking him, if possible. Avoiding him, she refused to go to any B.A.P members' birthday or winning-celebration parties evem after being numerously called by ALL of the members except Yongguk. She gave 'busy' as her reason to not come but later send them gifts anyway. Two months without contacting Yongguk, she felt like she's doing well. For the past two months, also, Zelo had been giving her hints about Yongguk liking her. He had been looking and asking about her everyday. Sure, she felt butterflies, but she made Zelo stopped mentioning him ever again in front of her. She didn't want to have hopes for yonggukxhana anymore. She wanted to stop dreaming the impossible.

 

"Where do you think you're going, anyway?"

 

"W-What are you doing here, Yongguk?"

 

"To prevent this date."

 

The time when Yongguk locked his hand with hers, dragging her away from her 'date', Vernon, she practically was holding in her breath. She was finding words to say to him and trying to breathe again before he broke into a run. Yongguk had drag her on top of the roof and scolded her for being too much—cutting him (and s, apparently) just like that.

 

She started to think and have thoughts of him liking her back but it was crushed when he gave 'the others are missing you. We all want to hangout with you again' bullsh!t. Well-known for her ego, she rejected the idea of meeting them again instead of asking if he missed her. Well-aware of Yongguk's also egoistic self, Hana still wants to push him to his limits; to the point where he'd tell his feeling (if he has) for her first by kept ignoring him. She also purposedly 'date' Vernon to make him jealous.

 

Will it work for her? Does Yongguk really have feelings for her? Will Yongguk just sits around and ignore her too in the end? Does she rather lose chance with her first love or kills her ego for once?
