personality. shi might as well be the sun. she's always smiling and laughing. With the smallest and dumest jokes, she's always bursting into laugher. not only this, but she's also the jokester of the group. she can turn any conversation into laughter and change anything into a gag. not only was she born to be a singer, but a comedian as well. she has that kind of "noona next door" image. someone homey and comfortable. it's a little shoking for people however. her first images are usually very quiet, shy and that "lady-like" image but that's totally the opposite.  

background. not a lot of people know shi is chinese at first. because she was raised and born in jeonju, and because she attended school in her birthplace, this chinese girl even speaks with a jeonju accent (satoori). she however still knows how to speak her mother tongue (her parents made sure she grew up knowing the two languages). shi has always loved singing, always performing in her school talent shows and going to karaoke her favorite hobby. a video of her singing was seen by pledis late ~2010 and from then, she became a trainee at pledis entertainment.

background. because shi has such an outgoing personality, mingyu and shi was able to get close with one another before a blink of an eye. even more so because they're not only the same age, but they have the same bithday as well. shi first wanted to get to know mingyu more because at first sight, mingyu looked like her ideal type. someone tall dark and handsome; a very manly kind of man. however that wasn't exactly mingyu. mingyu's a fragile child, the total opposite to shi's ideal type which lead them to become just friends (good friends however). 

relationship. most of their conversations consist of mingyu whining to shi and shi just arguing and complaining back at mingyu. because shi is so talkative, mingyu does a lot of listening to her, but he doesn't mind (actually he's very amazed by her ability to talk and her sense in what she says). at one point, shi starts to see mingyu not only as a friend but a man and during those times, she's confused because he's not her "ideal type"
