background

Cha Ha Ni or Mint was born on February 14, 1995 at Changwon, South Korea. She also grew up there. Her family consists of herself, her parents, two older brother and two older sister. Her father, Cha Byung In working as a clerk in a factory at Changwon. Her mother, Han In Na chose to be a housewife instead of working. Her eldest brother, Cha Hyun Jin work as a lawyer, her eldest sister, Cha Min Yeon work as a florist in Seoul. Her elder sister, Cha Ha Byung work as a barista in a cafe at Busan, South Korea while her older brother, Cha Hak Yeon or N join a Korean idol-group named VIXX. She really close to N instead of her three others siblings. As the youngest child, Mint really close to her father and mother. Her father always teach her how to use money wisely. Her mother also teach her how to be a good wife.

She start interested with music when she's 5 years old when she heard N sing a song. She really love the melody and start singing to it. When she's 7 years old, her mother sent het to a singing class. She learnt dancing with N. When she's 14, she enter a competition that held by her school and sang a song by Taylor Swift, You Belong With Me. She won first place at the competition.

In September 14 2010, she went to the Jellyfish Entertainment's audition. She performed Infinite's She's Back. Luckily she got accepted by the company. She's been trained for 3 years when she's chosen to participate in a survival shows called ' StarDOL '. She was teamed up with De' Red and other trainee. They performed 2ne1's I Am the Best. Mint then chosen to debut with 6 others trainee in a Jellyfish's first girl group named PAPILLON. The journey of Mint become an idol start then.
