I CAN'T LOOK IN THE MIRROR

APPEARANCE: clair is at her full height when she stands at 160 cm. she weighs 50 kg and she doesn't have a big appetite to begin with so she is able to control her food intake and maintain a slim figure. she doesn't have those piercing blue eyes that she adores so much, instead, her eyes are a dull dark brown in color. but her hair had always been long and silky straight, the tips of her hair just brushing past her chest. she has light skin that gets burnt up badly pretty easily. after spending a day at the beach, no matter how much sunscreen she applies, she will go home looking like a bright red tomato. she has a birthmark on the small of her back that vaguely looks like a splatter of paint. she did gets her ears pierced when she was little but she always kept her earrings simple and uninteresting.
FIRST IMPRESSION: when you first meet clair, she's probably enjoying her solitude in silence. because of this, people's impressions of her would be one of two things; (1) she looks so propper and classy, how could i approach her? or (2) she looks cold. i can't approach her. it's not like she had a face, no, it's just because she spends time by herself, she had unconciously made herself seem distant.
FASHION SENSE: clair's fashion sense suits her personality very much. she always dresses warm, even in the summer, she would wear a thin cardigan over her clothes. the first reason why she dresses this way is because her inability to handle the cold but she also thinks if she's in warm and fluffy clothes, it's great because people would give her longer hugs and nuzzle into the fabric and she's all about that life. because of this, her closet consists on a lot of soft sweaters, especially oversized ones and felix's (she be livin that sweater paw life). when it's kind of hot out, she would use one of her sweaters and pair it with shorts so it looks like she's not wearing anything underneath and she would also wear some really stylish sneakers from adidas. she wears a lot of fall colors like a nice rich maroon or a sweet white-beige.
on formal occasions, you can tell that she is a true parisian at heart because she always looks on point. she knows what works for her, she acknowledges complementary colors and she just looks stunning. although she doesn't wear them very often in her everyday life, she wears a lot of jewelry on formal occasions. when in a dress she always pairs it up with heels to make her legs look longer and to give her a height boost in general.

society has a very judgemental standard whereas someone who was quite and kept to themselves are automatically, cold, distant, anti-social, when that's not that case at all. clair prefers to not say much, not because she hates the presence of other human beings but because she genuinely doesn't have a lot to say. instead, she loves listening to other people chatter. she doesn't mind listening to others' worries and complains (but do keep in mind that giving advice is not her forté). in fact, one of her most favorite past times is to listen to others talk about their passion. have you ever took the time to ask someone about their passion and let them talk for hours and hours about it? if not, you are missing out on one of the little hopes and joys in life. when someone talks about the things they love, their voice becomes whimsical and fresh, their eyes would sparkle with a child-like excitement, and their whole face would just light up significantly. it's such a sight to see. because of this, the members would often go to her whenever they have something to talk about. clair would always listen wordlessly, admiring their every expression, similar to the way a lover would gaze upon her beloved.

TRAINING EXPERIENCE: training was either a breath of air or the hardest thing she has ever done. there was no in between. when it came down to vocal training, clair found it very easy as she was used to singing (she used to be in choir back in france and had singing lessons). clair had always stayed in pitch and had very little difficulties reaching high notes. others came to her for help and they were always surprised to find that a girl with such a powerful voice spoke in such a soft tone.
hell came when she was learning how to dance. she had never learned how to dance. she found that felix was smuch more talented than she is when it came to that department. the instructors often scold her for missing a step or two and they always acuse her of having two left feet. she knew they meant well but it still hurt. after every dance practice, she cries her eyes out to felix and the twins would spent many sleepless nights in order to perfect their dancing skills (well, more like felix helping clair). though barely, she eventually got the instructors' seal of approval after hours of effort.
there were a handful of trainees that often ask for her advice during vocal practice but she wasn't sure if she could properly call them her friends. she did have friends though, or at least, felix has friends. felix had a lot of friends, being the bright and social human he is and whoever is a friend of felix, is a friend of clair too! even though she was mostly quiet around felix's friends.

"i never thought of myself as one of the best, actually." clair confessed. "i still have a long way to go and so much to learn but if i do end up being in valiant, i'd be honored, of course."
DID YOU EVER THINK YOU WERE GOING TO DEBUT?:
"yes, but not as soon as this." her gaze fell to her lap, it hasn't even been two years since she first joined pledis. in her mind, she thought of the other trainees who spent a much longer time in the company compared to herself. she wasn't sure if she truly deserved to debut but her time is now and she knows that she'll regret it if she keeps moping around about the other trainees.

"the closest ones would be... woozi oppa? and e-young unnie too." she nodded her head, as if assuring herself of her own answer. "woozi oppa has helped me out a lot with song writing and e-young unnie too, she's so talented at playing instruments, we have a lot of jam sessions and it's fun."
WHAT ACTIVITIES DO YOU ASPIRE TO DO OUTSIDE OF VALIANT?:
"ah..." her voice trails off as she thought her answer. "i'm not very good at talking so i guess some song writing? i'd love to work with other singers on a song." she smiled softly, the mere thought of a collaboration, causing stars to twinkle in her eyes.

"fifteen years? how old will I be?" she brought her finger up in the space in front of her, drawing out imaginary number in thin air before one of the staff gave her an answer. "thirty-two? wow. i want to be a respected song writer at that point. i would like to still be valiant too and hopefully engaged or married."
