Minjae is unbelieveably reckless, whether he's been drinking or not. He's the kind of person who would die because he wanted to do handstands or something stupid like that on a balcony railing, or drive totally drunk, and easily putting the ones he loves in harm's way to do what seems fun at the time. Minjae's reckless behavior eggs on the people that he knows that he influences to do things like this as well. He does a lot of these things because Minjae feels extremely restrained- For his whole life, Minjae had to be pretty and proper and perfect to make things easier on his mother, which he isn't. Now he can do what he pleases, so long as it stays out of the media. Not to mention, drinking makes him cruel and unhappy, making him the person he isn't. He doesn't like getting into fights, he doesn't like who he is when he drinks- Who would like a total who would do anything to sleep with someone and get into fist fights for every little thing. Because of this, Minjae is described as lethargic. After drinking, and even sometimes during, he becomes apathetic and uncaring, which is a complete 180 from his normal, empathetic self. Seriously, he's the most empathetic in Izumi, always feeling what others feel- Even if through a screen- And is seriously sensitive of the band's mood. He can comfort them in ways no one else could, simply because he feels their emotions as much as they do. It's rare to find someone like this.
The reason for this? is observant, which helps with this empathy. Unfortunately, the more he drnks, the less observant he becoomes. He's often the first to know when something is up (Especially with Ginhyeon, as he simply feels close with him, and thus automatically observes him closer. Minjae is untuitive, so he knows when to pursue a problem, even if secretly. He knows when something's wrong, he really does. He's not stupid, it doesn't take long for him to figure out their situations), and can call people out on it- Which he does. He's highly critical of a person's actions and performance. If one of the members is letting a problem get them down on stage or during an event of any kind, he can easily and without guilt call them out on it.
This guy absolutely hates that kind of thing, and doesn't let it go. He's not afraid to tell the leader his singing , or Uwook that his dancing is . Minjae is super creative, though, and thinks of the weirdest and best things at the strangest of times. It's not uncommon for him to wake Biho in the middle on the night (Read: One to four in the morning) to suddenly talk about the greatest concept they could do, or what kind of cover art they should have on their next album, etc. Minjae is really good at art, and so a lot of the time, he does decide and design Izumi's cover art. He thinks of new ways to incorporate everyone's vocals into the new song, and what kind of pitch/tone they should change to while recording.
He is a really quick learner- He's got the easiest time learning choreography and memorizing lines because of this. He often has to help the other members catch up. Minjae has always been this way, from the time his dad left, he knew how to learn and adapt. He seriously can mold himself to be anything that's needed for a situation. He could be throwing a fit, but the momet someone important comes in (Like the CEO), he can turn into a pleasant, charming young man who's work ethic is quite admirable. He could be just about ready to pass out and ie from exhasution, but turn into a charismatic, joyful idol when fans show up.
From a young age, though, Minjae has been easily distracted. He can't focus on one things for long, and often acts up due to his short temper. He may hate fighting, sure, but that doens't mean he won't scream at you for hours for pissing him off over something small and stupid. He can never focus on getting things done, especially after he drinks, so this becomes quite a problem, and it definitely was through school. He may be ADD, but his mother has never had enough money to go to the doctors, much less buy the medication he would likely need, so he's been left alone with it.

「 stage persona 」The Black Cat- On stage, Jae is a totally sly, totally sneaky kind of person. Though he's not a dancer, his moves flow well and he's often got the best timing in the group. His charisma on stage simply brings attention to him, and he owns himself well. He's got a perfect confidence when he's singing that puts people in awe. But on reality shows and the like, Jae tends to stay in the background, only coming out to make snide comments and tease the members in an intelligent sort of way.

Upon hearing her family was moving to America, the thirteen-year-old Minseo ran, and was never found. Minjae, who had been quite young when she left, remembered her, but he didn't recall her being a sister- He always assumed she was the daughter of his parents' friends or something, but when he young out the truth three years ago, he knew he had to find her.

— Best friend and sunbae / Kyung Iseul / 23 / Idol (Main rapper, lead vocalist / Fake SM girl group, Mel0die / Intelligent, confident, demanding. Iseul and Minjae have known each other since childhood. They were neighbors, and since Iseul's family had money, they would often secretly gift Minjae's family some more money to get by on holidays. Minjae always calls her "The Annoying Noona that Nobody Likes," because she always cracks down on his bad habits, but he really appreciates her and her effort to care for them. Iseul is always the one who takes those last few bottles away, who cares for him when he's hungover and cheers him on- Even if three years ago her band debuted with the song "Pepe."

The reason they broke up was because of their conlicting goals in life, but that doesn't mean they don't support each other! Sooyun is Minjae's number one fan, and always cheers him along. Minjae likes to about how she needs a better job, so that often causes playful arguments between the two. Though she's yet to find out about his drinking habits, when she does, the reaction will be quite bad.

They were neighbors in high school. Minjae was always awed by Taemin's abilities, and envyed him for being an idol. Taemin enjoyed his presence, and thus they began to hang out more and more. They're very close- Like,I will cuddle you and kiss you on the cheek kind of close. If we're being honest, they totally had crushes on each other, but let it go for Taemin's career's sake. Taemin is aware of his drinking issues, and always begs him to stop. As Minjae basically tells him to go himself each time, their relationship it somewhat strained.

This stems from Iseul nearly dying in a car accident when she was ten, Minjae being six at the time. — He vehemently denies the existence of any "God" or angels. — Minjae tends to drink a sixpack of beer a day, but can go up to a whole bottle of rum or more if he wants. — Minjae curses the most when he's drunk. Lee Minjae was born over nineteen years ago to an ever-busy father and a loving mother. Though money wasn't ever plentiful, Minjae never went without, which was something he was ever-grateful for. He may have been young, but he wasn't clueless to his family's situation. His older sister was like a best friend and mother to him, always cooking him meals, taking him to the park, whatever he wanted. Minseo would even take Iseul if he asked her to. Minjae's life was good, even though he wasn't quite so close with his father, until the day Iseul got into a car accident. Things were bad. Minjae was told he needed to say goodbye, and his heart hurt. Only Minseo could comfort him, and that was barely. Imagine his happiness when, one day, his mother came home to tell him that Iseul was getting better, but unfortunately that came with the news that his family was moving to America in three months for his dad's work. Minjae was shocked, but he couldn't let his joy of his friend's continued life to overcome this. Minseo, on the othjer hand, refused this. She couldn't leave Korea, it was her home, where she belonged. A month before they left, Minseo ran away. The police were contacted, she was being looked for everywhere, but clearly she had mastered the art of disappearing. With heavy hearts, the Lee's moved to San Diego, California.
Though it took time, Minjae forgot about his "Seo Noona," and made many friends in America. His name, then changed to Mickey, was something he got teased for (Mickey Mouse), but he really liked it. He became very fond of singing, with all the celebrities on TV. He got into sports like soccer and baseball, and he enjoyed life. He did well in school, and though he was made fun of for his accent, he always personally found it endearing. Suddenly, when he was fourteen, he was told his family was moving back to South Korea. He had some trouble adjusting when he moved back, especially when it was revealed to him at fifteen yaers old that his dad was cheating on his mother. There was so much fighting, so much yelling, that it was actually the first time Minjae touched alcohol. He drank for a few weeks, and when his mother found out, his family fought about that. When he finally exploded that it was them that he was drinking in the first place, they realized they simply couldn't do it anymore. They divorced, his father marrying the other woman- Kim Alice- and then he and his mother were on their own. His father payed hefty child support but refused rights to visit him. Minjae then began to drown himself in singing and dancing.
When he was sixteen, his mother told the truth about Minseo. He was shocked, and begged him mother to find someone to search for his older sister, but she said they simply couldn't afford it. That was when Minjae began to think about his talent in singing seriously. He had always wanted to be famous- It would be absolutely wonderful- So he began to try out for companies, both big and small, until he was accepted into 泉 Entertainment. Minjae trained intensely- If he became an idol, he could get enough money to hire someone to look for the older sister that he needed to meet. His whole life, he felt like something was missing, and now he knew it was her. Upon turning nineteen, he realized he needed something to relieve the stress. He started to drink regularly, remembering how it had helped the last time, and slowly his ability to perform began to dwindle. Sometimes, his words would slur, and his move sloppy. Still, the company knew he had great potential, and thought they just had to straighten him up, that he had become lazy for not being considered as an idol for two years- Thus, he was chosen to be the main vocalist of Izumi.
