I want you to understand
I don't quite understand,
how everyone else is blessed,
with wamth
with love
With A home and a family
and others don't have that,
If you saw me in twenty years,
sat on a street corner,
begging for change then it begins to rain
all I have on I a torn pair of jeans
a faded tee-shirt and a pair of gloves,
would you take me in?
if it were you, I'd have you washed,
Dried,
feed and clothed,
you could take my bed and I'd take the sofa,
I would give anything to help anyone,
If you don't understand the pleas,
the tears,
the heart ache,
go live like that for a year, I'd bet you'd understand then.
