How to Write?

To be honest, I'm a very on and off writer on here. I actually role play daily though so I'm hoping to be working on writing more too (but, knowing me, will still write slowly because I'm a bit of a juggler with uni and work). That being said though, I'm now a little confused about how AFF works. I see these amazing writers with subs and upvotes in the thousands and I wonder wow. How does one even do that?

Can you tell I'm jelly? Hehe.

To be honest, I don't even know how up votes work so it will be great if someone could explain that to me too... T.T

For now though, I'll keep writing. Thank you for the support guys and I hope that you enjoy the stories I have to tell.

I don't know how to get those either, I'm pretty jealous as well, lol. But I think up votes are just "hey your story is pretty awesome"-votes so they're a good thing to get. :3

Lol, I also don't know what the votes are for tbh hahaha, but all I know is that they cost the voters something. Idek. I just up-vote stories that I think deserves it, so basically my faves. And yeah.
But after reading Hayagi's comment, it's my first time knowing that votes are the reason why ppl get featured .___.

Uhm what I know about upvotes is just... people who have at least 25 karma points can give stories an upvote. So... people do that when they like a story. Usually. Uhm if I checked it correctly, an upvote gives the writer 5 karma points and stories with many upvotes can become featured stories.
